Evolution Travel is a Multi-Level-Marketing company that operates as a home-based travel business.

They offer training, support, and sales assistance to their members who are going to sell their travel tickets in exchange for commissions.

Aside from that, not much is known about the company aside from the fact that it is currently recruiting members to expand their business reach.

The company has members who earn money by selling their travel tickets and bookings. And they don’t have to solely focus on recruitment just to earn money.

Even if there is really none… It’s just impossible to treat this as an income-generating business because you are just going to run out of people you can recruit later...

Yes, you read that right. Success is hard to achieve if you are a member of Evolution Travel or any MLM in this case.

Note that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

This is because of the sales quota these companies have where members can only receive commissions if they sell a certain number of products.

If they are unable to do this, then they have to buy the products for their own consumption.

How does Evolution Travel Work?

Evolution Travel works by providing a home-based travel business to members.

They give training and support so that members can sell their travel discounts and packaging.

It’s an opportunity for them to work from home and sell their discounts and travel bundles in exchange for commissions.

It sounds like both sides are winning, but in reality, it’s just Evolution Travel, because they save millions of dollars in supposed marketing campaigns because they don’t need to do it.

Instead, it’s just their members doing it...

It is important that you understand the products that the company you wish to join is selling. This way, you’ll know what you can expect if you manage to become a member.

Evolution Travel sells travel discounts, hotel booking, and various vacation packages. Based on my research, it does this because it is partnered with Archer Travel Group, which has its own booking engine.

The company doesn't really have products. Instead, what they sell are coupons, travel discounts, and vacation bundles, just like what I said earlier.

Specifically speaking, these are:

  • Hotel reservations
  • Flights
  • Car rentals
  • Tickets to theme parks, sporting events, and concerts

And aside from the convenience these give buyers, agents can also benefit in the form of:

  • Free cruise
  • Travel points
  • Travel agent discounts
  • Cash and merchandise rewards
  • Familiarization trips

Note, though, that it isn’t just Evolution Travel that sells these kinds of services. In fact, there are a host of other MLM companies that do.

All of them say and claim they are special, exclusive, and very rare.

When the reality is they are just doing the same stuff, but just have different marketing gimmicks and platform to make it seem like they are special.

Yes. But it’s hard to make money from Evolution Travel.

There are a few people that do, but they spend more than 8 hours a day just trying to persuade and entice people to join the company.

What’s more, is that Evolution Travel does not have any income disclosure...

Do these 2 things to make money from this company:

  • Sell products

  • Recruit members

Note, though, that you only earn from the sales and commissions of your downlines and not from recruiting them.

But this has already been discounted to $30.

  • Travel Commissions - Earn 80% to 90% commission once you’ve successfully sold a ticket or booking reservation.
  • Residual Pool Commission - Earn 13% to 20% commission from the sales that your downline members make.
  • Leadership Bonus - Earn $750 to $100,000 bonus once you qualify for the Leadership rank. This goes from Gold level to 8-star Platinum level.

This is best for businessmen who are always going to different places, or if you are always on a vacation every now and then.

If you are, then there’s no doubt that you’ll save a lot of money...

#2 Established reputation

An MLM has an average lifespan of 5 years.

And Evolution Travel already has been operating for 5 years already.

They also don’t show any signs of slowing down. This means that there’s a good chance that this company will still be up and running in the years to come.

#3 Affordable subscription

Evolution Travel has a very affordable subscription of $30.

This was $300 before, but now it’s just $30. This is very cheap compared to the regular $100 to even $1,000 subscription fees of other MLMs.

What I don't like about Evolution Travel

#1 No income disclosure

Evolution Travel does not have any income disclosure.

An income disclosure is a document which shows the earnings of members.

It is also meant to show that the company and its members are earning. In Evolution Travel’s case, there is none.

So, I’ll leave that up to you...

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

The fact that you have to spend $70 for the monthly subscription means that you have assured yourself that you are going to lose money even if you don’t earn money.

What MLM companies don’t want their members to know is that their biggest customer base are the members itself.

This is because they just keep on paying for the monthly subscriptions whatever happens...

There is no doubt that Evolution Travel is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

You are going to pay $70 monthly, right? Well, you can avoid that by recruiting people. Why? It’s because you get commissions from your recruited members.

Evolution Travel is a legal company that sells legitimate travel tickets and vacation bundles. But they have an expensive monthly subscription cost.

And here is what I think about their business opportunity...

You can clearly see that the only real way for you to make money is by recruiting as many people as you can. And then leaving it up to them to discover the reality that they are just losing money.

This does not and in no way sound ethical to me. You sell the dream and hope of financial prosperity even if you know there’s no financial prosperity going to happen.

There are a lot of other better legit business opportunities out there you can find...

  • You can even build muscle without exercising

Some people claim that it really works. But the most common concern is the price of the transformation plan.

How to make money with Purium

You can make money from Purium in 2 ways:

  1. Sell their products for a commission
  2. Recruit more people and earn bonuses from sales they make

It's important to note that you don't make money from just recruiting people. This is how Purium avoids being an outright scam or pyramid scheme. 

You only earn bonuses from their your "downlines" personal purchases or sales.

How much does it cost to join Purium?

It costs $49 for the basic starter pack to become a Purium distributor.

But you won't get any products with this pack. If you are serious about promoting Purium products then it's wise to actually try the products yourself. 

So you are encouraged to purchase a starter pack, such as the ones you see below...

There are a range of starter packs that are suitable for different people such as "athletes" or the "transformation starter pack".

They include a wide range of products and features such as:

  • Your "back office"
  • Starter kit with basic marketing and training resources
  • Copy of the Green Food Bible
  • The $50 gift card for 12 months at Purium (remember this is a big sales point for a lot of distributors)
  • A range of Purium products

But the costs do not stop there...

Purium monthly cost

You also need to hit a "monthly sales quota" to "remain active".

If you do not reach this quota then you won't be able to earn commission or bonuses for that month...

Purium pyramid scheme

Purium requires you to hit 50PV (personal volume) every month.

50 PV is the equivalent of around $65 worth of Purium products. And if you can't sell this then you will need to purchase it yourself. 

So the total expenses for 1 year at Purium would be at least:

  • $49
  • $299- $499
  • $65 x 12

Total cost for year 1 = $1,128- $1,328

This is clearly much less that it would cost to start a normal bricks and mortar business such as a restaurant... but it's certainly more than $49!

For some reason MLM companies like to make their compensation plan harder to understand than solving a rubik's cube blindfolded.

Purium is no different.

So I will do my best to keep this simple.

There are 9 ways you can get paid from Purium:

  1. Retail commissions (15-30%)
  2. Recruitment commissions (depends on what starter pack they buy)
  3. 1st order bonus (25% commission + 5% from downlines sales)
  4. Residual commissions (see below- 5% for downlines up to 8 levels deep)
  5. Matching bonus (when you hit a certain "rank")
  6. Infinity bonus (extra levels bonus when you achieve "green diamond" rank or above)
  7. Rank achievement bonus (when you get "promoted")
  8. Lifestyle bonus (monthly bonus when you achieve "diamond rank" or above)
  9. Diamond and Crown bonus pools (additional bonus)

The review above shows that it genuinely did work for these coworkers even if they did think it was expensive!

This is always that first thing I check for any MLM company...

Unfortunately, this is one of the common red flags about a lot of MLM companies.

They seem to think they can charge a premium (200% or more) than other companies for the same thing!

How do they get away with it?

Who actually buys these crazy expensive products?

Well, I'm about to reveal who does...

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

The people who actually end up buying this expensive stuff are the "distributors" themselves...

Believe me, most people are very wary about buying a 200%+ more expensive product from an old school friend who messages them out of the blue on Facebook. 

This stuff is hard to sell!

So when it gets to the end of the month the distributors don't want to "get suspended" in case next month they sell hundreds of this expensive crap.

So they buy the product themself and it is the big reason why so many MLM members lose money!

This is also a sign that...

#3 Is Purium a pyramid scheme in disguise?

In reality, the only way distributors can avoid racking up credit card debt and having hundreds of Purium products around their house is if they recruit people. 

Then the pressure is off you and you shift it onto some other unsuspecting victim!

Let's face the truth here, Purium is very similar to a pyramid scheme in disguise because:

  • 8 out of 9 ways you can get paid require you to recruit people
  • The only way you can avoid paying $65 each month without working your booty off trying to sell is by recruiting people
  • The only way you can make any residual income is by recruiting people

The products are legit. 

And you can get paid to sell these products... but you won't make any decent money until you recruit people.

And that, unfortunately, is very similar to a pyramid scheme. 

#4 Really low earning potential

Now, remember Purium is not a scam as they do pay their distributors.

However, how many people actually make any decent money as a Purium distributor?

0.25% of all members make more than $15,000 a year.

Or put another way...

So Commission Hero promises to teach you exactly how Robby Blanchard makes money from affiliate marketing online.

I can almost hear your mind thinking... "but what is affiliate marketing?"

Connecting someone with a product or service they are looking for and getting paid if they buy the product after clicking your link.

Or simply put...

Selling other people's stuff!

This is a legit way to make money online and you probably have already seen that Robby makes a ton of money from doing so.

So let’s dig in a bit deeper…

How does Commission Hero Work?

Commission Hero will teach you how to get traffic from Facebook Adverts to landing pages.

Commission Hero is a video series comprised of discrete parts. The first module covers affiliate marketing fundamentals.

The second module focuses on establishing a Facebook business account. This includes your Facebook page and advertising accounts, from which you will run advertisements.

The final module emphasizes tracking your outcomes and properly adjusting your advertising efforts.

The fourth module covers additional random topics, including email marketing. It also has helpful tips and tricks, which you will find intriguing.

Live training is the second component of the course. This is believed most of the value is. This section is a live recording of Robby's in-person training when affiliate marketers attend his presentations. You will learn a great deal from this section. Things improve significantly after that.

The final section of the training provides substantial advertising materials for high-converting Clickbank products like EZ Battery Reconditioning and Slim Belly Fix.

Robby utilized more than a thousand ad creatives to encourage prospects to click on his commercials.

In addition, the content contains quiz landing pages intended to operate as intermediary websites that interest the prospect and then send them to the affiliate offer page.

These landing pages (also called squeeze pages) help you to "capture email addresses" and then sell affiliate products from Clickbank.

You select products with attractive affiliate networks that pay at least 50 percent commissions.

Commission Hero teaches three major secrets: how to locate high-paying affiliate programs.

Commission Hero is designed similarly to 30 Minute Workday in that it provides step-by-step instructions for creating a profitable sales funnel and driving visitors to it via Facebook Ads.

The course structure begins with a section titled "Getting Started," which discusses some of the fundamentals before moving on to advanced methods such as link tracking and scaling your campaigns.

Here is the overly simplified process you will learn to make money from Commission Hero:

  1. Pay for Facebook ads to get traffic to your landing page
  2. Create landing pages to sell an affiliate program or collect email addresses
  3. The visitor buys a product you promoted and you get a commission

It really is that simple, but there are a LOT of moving parts that you will need to learn before it starts working.

Before we find out how likely it is that you'll be able to do this, let's find out...

How much does it cost to join Commission Hero?

It costs a $997 one time payment or 2 x $597 payments. 

This gives you access to all the training in the course. However, the costs do not stop there amigo...

Commission Hero monthly cost

To actually use the training you will HAVE to spend additional money each month on:

  • Clickfunnels $97 per month (landing page builder) 
  • ClickMagick $27 a month (tracking tool)
  • An autoresponder such as GetResponse cost $15 a month (collects and sends emails)
  • Facebook ads (as much as you want but at least $200 per month)

There is also the "inner circle" which costs $297 per month to get access to:

  • "Done for you" funnels
  • Weekly webinar 
  • Robby looks through your campaigns
  • Active Facebook group

If you join the "Inner circle" then you would need to allow these expenses for one year:

  • $997
  • $97 x 12 = $1,164
  • $27 x 12 = $324

Total costs for one year = $7,429

If you were to join the inner circle and really committed to this 100% there's no reason why you wouldn't start making money from this system within a few months. 

However, paying for ads as a new affiliate marketing is a very sharp sword indeed! Can you really afford to lose over $7k in one year?

There are two main ways an online course can be a scam:

  1. Take your money and run off into the sunset, never to be heard from again
  2. Provide some information but it doesn’t live up to their promises

#1 Legit strategy

It has been proven time and again by so many online marketers that affiliate marketing is a legit strategy.

Commission Hero will show you a legit way to get people to buy products that you are promoting.

In fact, you can check out a ton of my chats with real people that use affiliate marketing to make a crazy amount of money on my podcast. This really is a legit business model that isn't going to just disappear next year. 

#2 Robby Blanchard is the real deal

There’s no denying that Robby is completely legit.

You can check out the Clickbank leaderboard yourself if you want to check (this does update every year).

Robby has gone from a personal trainer to a guy earning crazy money using affiliate marketing.

#3 Support from the Inner Circle

If you are new to affiliate marketing then I would highly recommend joining the Inner Circle.

This will provide you with "done for you" funnels each month and believe me, that will help a lot!

Remember I am not an affiliate for Commission Hero so it does no favours to me if you join the upsell Inner Circle at $297 per month. 

I can just guarantee that you will find it really hard to see results at the start if you are brand new to  affiliate marketing when you need to design landing pages, FB ads and all the copywriting yourself. Trust me, it's a lot to learn!

Here's how important I think the Inner Circle is for beginners...

If my best mate was considering this as a newbie, I would advise them to join the Inner Circle or not bother. 

#4 Possible to make money quickly

The techniques taught in Commission Hero can help you to make money quickly.

Some people have claimed to see results within the first week.

There is a higher risk to them as you are about to learn, but there is no denying that they do work… if you implement them well.

What I don't like about Commission Hero

If you’re like me, you’ve probably just skipped to this part or are ready to learn all about the truth that you’re not told in the sales video.

So here is the honest truth…

#1 Only one marketing technique- FB ads> Clickbank

There is a lot to a successful online marketing business.

However, there’s really only one focus from Robby in this course.

And that is to use Facebook ads to drive traffic to Clickbank so you earn a commission.

Focus

Focus is definitely a good thing, especially as a beginner.

However, it will be hard to make this business model hands off.

There's no training on how to create a website and use SEO (get your website ranked on Google) and the other marketing techniques, which are more passive and help you to truly OWN an online business. 

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

Robby even mentions how all you need is Facebook and Clickbank, which are two FREE platforms.

This is true.

But what he’s not making clear upfront is that the technique you will use involves additional ongoing costs.

Facebook ads can rack up to a lot of money. Especially when you are learning and not receiving and money in return from them!

Click funnels

Plus, remember there are additional tools you’ll need:

  • It costs $97 per month for Clickfunnels (landing page builder).
  • ClickMagick costs $27 a month (tracking tool)
  • An autoresponder such as GetResponse cost $15 a month (collects and sends emails)

Of course, you don’t have to use Clickfunnels and you don’t have to spend loads of money on ads.

But if you want to get results… you really do.

Therefore you need to budget another $350+ per month for these costs. And that's not even including the $297 per month Inner Circle upsell!

(But you should start seeing results soon enough if you follow the training and stay positive- easier said than done when you're thousands of dollars out of pocket, I know!)

#3 Clickbank has a lot of scam products

They have a terrible name for themselves, especially in the “make money online” niche.

Here are some outright scams I’ve reviewed in the past:

I could go on, but you get the idea.

There is a very high return rate of products from Clickbank and you have no control over when or why this happens.

So you may see money coming into your account, but you are likely going to have to allow some of that to disappear as there is a guaranteed 60-day money back for most products on Clickbank.

#4 There's no trial- 12 month money back guarantee

I get what Robby does this… but it is weird.

You cannot get your money back until you can prove you have “tried to use” the program for 12 months.

I guess Robby wants to stop the time wasters that just buy a course and then 2 weeks later realise they don’t have any time or desire to try and do the work.

But the best courses normally have some kind of “free trial” or 7-day return policy.

Sometimes no matter what you expect from a course it just isn’t what you thought it would be and doesn’t suit you.

#5 Income proof is not profit

Now, obviously a lot of the income that these guys are getting will be profit.

However, it is never really mentioned that there are expenses in this business.

Just think about it, what option would you prefer…

  1. You spend $10,000 in a month to make $6,500
  2. You spend $0 to make $2,350

There are the monthly costs of your business, which is completely overlooked when these massive numbers are shoved in your face in the sales video…

Commission Hero Income Proof

The super high income of Robby will obviously mean he makes some amazing profit.

But when you are just starting out it’s important to be aware your paid ads will probably not make you as much money as you spend.

Saying that… once you figure out a funnel to make a profit, there is no limit to how much you can scale it up!

It’s a legit opportunity.

It has worked for people.

And it may work for you.

However, the initial costs to get going are high!

Realistically you are looking at $997 to start… then around $350 a month ($650+ if you join the inside circle).

It leaves a lot people feeling like this when they realise the true expense...

If you cannot afford to lose $3,000+ before you actually figure out what you need to do then this is not the course for you.

Life’s Abundance is an Multi-Level-Marketing company that specializes in selling health and wellness products that are targeted for both humans and animals, more specifically on dogs and cats.

The firm was founded back in 1999 by Dennis Berardi and Carol Berardi, with the original name of Trilogy Online.

I did some further research about the business background of these two and I noticed that they also had two companies back then who had websites which no longer exist because when you open them, they simply redirect back to the Life’s Abundance website.

I also discovered that they had a smooth time in the MLM industry as they didn’t have any red flags or lawsuit issues before.

Is Life's Abundance a pyramid scheme?

No, Life’s Abundance isn’t a pyramid scheme as their members can earn money by selling their products.

They also don’t need to recruit just to earn money. But a more fitting question to that is… Is Life’s Abundance a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company or organization that pays members for recruiting people instead of selling actual products and services.

Most countries consider these illegal as not everyone can earn money from a company which only is paying people for recruitment.

Yes, you can. But you are going to have a hard time making good money from Life’s Abundance.

There are a few who make some, but they’re just earning slightly higher than minimum wage and they work like full-time sales managers who are underpaid.

Even their income disclosure shows that hardly anyone can’t make any money from Life’s Abundance.

How to make money with Life's Abundance

There are 2 ways you can earn from the MLM:

  • Sell their health and wellness products
  • Recruit members into the company

Take note, though, that you can only earn bonuses from the sales of your recruited members and not from recruiting them.

How much does it cost to join Life's Abundance?

You need to pay $29.95 for the starter kit needed for you to become an official member.

This includes 1-month free access to your replicated personal website. However, you have another option, which is to choose the premium package worth $253.

It includes more items in the starter pack, which means you have a higher chance of earning more.

You have to maintain 100 PV every month to stay as an active member. This means selling at least $100 worth of products every month.

Most, if not all MLM companies make their own compensation plans confusing and complicated. And Life’s Abundance is one of them.

But there is no need for you to worry because I will be keeping things straightforward and simple...

There are 4 ways you can make money as a member from Life’s Abundance.

  • QuickStart Bonus - Get a 5% to 10% bonus on your first sales upon joining the company.
  • Retail Sales - Get 10% to 20% in commission every time you sell a product at retail price and you get them at wholesale price. This varies, though, depending on your distributor.
  • Retail Bonus - Get 5% to 20% bonus of your total sales for the entire month.
  • Bonus Pools - Get 0.5% to 1.5% bonus of the total company sales each month. This is only reserved to those who are in the 7-star, 8-star, and 9-star ranks.

In Life’s Abundance case, the company has reached a long 21 years as they were founded back in 1999.

They also haven’t gone through any kind of lawsuit. So that’s a good sign that this one’s a legit company and it won’t be shut down any time soon.

Based on the looks of it, they actually do sell good quality products which is again, a good thing for this MLM.

Compared to other MLM companies, Life’s Abundance has one of the lowest and cheapest subscription rates because there's the $29.95 subscription choice.

This is nice especially if you don’t want to shell out much money on something that you’re still having doubt joining.

#1 Expensive products

MLMs that have overpriced products is a good sign that they are a pyramid scheme in disguise. Instead of creating affordable and quality products, the focus is instead on recruiting members.

You’ll see that there’s a huge price difference. And if I were you, I’d go for the alternative brands especially that they are also made by reputable companies and have positive reviews.

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

In order for you to become an active member of Life’s Abundance, you need to sell at least 100PV or $100 worth of products monthly.

If you can’t then you must buy them for yourself, that’s if you want to stay as one of their active members and still earn commissions.

Frankly speaking, this will just suck out all your money in the long run…

Take note that the biggest client base of Life’s Abundance is their distributors who keep buying their products and hoping that they’re going to become their own boss soon.

#3 Is Life's Abundance a pyramid scheme in disguise?

If you must spend $100 monthly just to stay active, then the only way for you to avoid incurring that expense is to recruit people as your downline.

You then pass the buck to them and just motivate them to continue recruiting just so that they can earn, and for you to earn as well.

#4 Only 1 in 217 members earn over $33k a year

If you’re going to check Life’s Abundance’s income disclosure, you’ll see that 61.8% of their members are earning an income of just $504 yearly.

Meanwhile, 90% of the total member population are earning just $1,956 a year while their members are getting an average expense of $741 annually.

Simply speaking, only 1 in 217 members are earning more than $33,000 a year.

#5 Downward trend

I checked out Life’s Abundance’s popularity in Google Trends and it was no surprise that their trend is going down.

I even compared it to Farmasi, another health and wellness MLM company, which was faring better compared to Life’s Abundance.

What is Pure Romance?

Pure Romance, founded in 1993 by Patty Brisben, is a multi-level marketing organization that sells various products, including sex toys, lingerie, cosmetics, lotions, essential oils, and more!

The website states that Pure Romance aims to better women’s lives via education and community awareness.

According to rumors, the organization has a tradition of arranging parties where one of its advisors visits the client’s home and provides an unforgettable evening.

The consultant is responsible for entertaining guests and providing advice on sexual health and how to spice up relationships at this party. In addition, she will demonstrate each product and explain how it functions.

Individuals can also become Pure Romance consultants and operate their businesses independently. The business model is multilevel marketing, with commissions and bonuses paid down to the fourth level of the downline.

So it’s starting to sound pretty good, but this still doesn’t answer the question…

Is Pure Romance a pyramid scheme?

No. Pure Romance is not a pyramid scheme.

Many people consider all MLM companies to be pyramid schemes because they involve people getting paid to recruit more people into the company.

Well technically, this is not how Pure Romance pays you.

You would only get paid when people you recruit buy more products or sell products to other people.

You just receive a commission or a bonus from these sales.

However, it is important to realise that if you want to make serious money from Pure Romance, you will need to recruit many people into the MLM company.

Therefore, some people would claim it’s a pyramid scheme in disguise…

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is when a company recruits members by promising them payment for recruiting more members.

Technically speaking there is no product involved.

You only get paid from recruiting more people into the company.

Here’s the issue with this…

As you can see from the diagram above, there are not enough people on the planet to make this sustainable for every person.

The people near the top earn crazy money…

The people just a few levels down will not be able to recruit enough people to earn a penny.

Most pyramid schemes (and arguable MLM programs) require you to recruit more than 6 people to make enough money to stay at home.

How does Pure Romance work?

Many individuals are eager to join MLM possibilities due to the independence they bring.

Consultants who are independent business owners, setting their own s and earning pay based on sales volume, provide independence.

However, you should be aware of the risks associated with this business strategy!

To become a consultant, you must first purchase a Kit to demonstrate the product line to prospective clients. There are presently three kits available for purchase:

  • Standard Kit – $159.00
  • Deluxe Kit – $399.00
  • Premium Kit – $519.00

These kits contain marketing materials, 10 product catalogs, a personal website, a credit card reader, an online office, a point-of-sale application, and a free Media Center trial for 90 days.

According to Pure Romance, these Kits are worth more than twice their purchase price, yet I find them extremely pricey.

Remember that an active Pure Romance consultant earns commissions and bonuses if you purchase these packages after being recruited (recommended) by them.

The Starter Kit is the least expensive option, but if you organize a party with numerous guests, you should bring a wider variety of products.

Remember that risks are involved, not just because you must purchase a kit but also because you must complete certain standards to preserve your consultant status.

According to their Incentive Requirements Guide, there are four ways to acquire active status. These include:

  • Buy $200 worth of goods in sixty days.
  • Buy a product package during the next sixty days.
  • Within sixty days, participate in the New Consultant Inventory Advantage Program.
  • Buy the Deluxe Plus package.

If you do not satisfy the requirements within 60 days of purchasing the kit to maintain your status, and must buy another kit to restore it.

After sixty days, you will be required to meet one of those specific conditions. Otherwise, you will continue to lose money.

As you can see, the first investment is significantly higher than you anticipated!

The reality is that the majority of MLM participants end up losing money. They purchase pricey things that they are unable to sell.

In doing so, they benefit skilled recruiters with marketing expertise and the ability to suggest many candidates.

To continue as an advanced consultant, selling $200 worth of merchandise every two months is necessary.

If you fail, you will be demoted to the Family & Friends level, meaning you will not be eligible for the entire compensation plan, which includes bonuses and overrides.

Unfortunately, things can only deteriorate from here…

You will lose your whole downline and active status if you do not achieve $600 in retail volume within one year.

If this happens, you’ll lose your consultant status and have to buy a new starter kit to get it back.

This method is believed to be highly unfair to those just starting out and needing more company expertise.

This scenario is worse than being an employee because losing your hard-earned money means not reaching your goals.

How to make money with Pure Romance

So the juicy part!

Probably the bit you’ve been waiting for.

There are 2 ways you can make money from Pure Romance (and most MLM’s):

  1. Get a commission from selling products
  2. Get bonuses from recruiting more people into the company and the sales they make (either for themself or others through their links)

That is really all there is to it, even though most MLM companies complicate it with the compensation plan.

Before we get to that, you’re probably asking yourself…

How much does it cost to join Pure Romance?

You will have to spend $159, $319 or $479 to join the company.

This gives you different “starter kits” with a range of products to test or sell on. It gives you a 30%-45% discount so anything you sell on you will get a profit on straight away.

There are ongoing monthly costs that you will have to stump up if you can’t sell enough products to ensure you stay “active”.

Something a bit concerning about this company is that they don’t make it easy to find their compensation plan.

Normally it’s just on the website or a simple Google search brings it up.

Well, Pure Romance either has something to hide or they are in the process of changing it.

Just remember, there are only 2 ways you can earn money as a distributor:

  1. Make product sales
  2. Recruit more people

You don’t need to know any more than that initially.

#1 It’s been going for 20+ years

Any company that has existed for 20 years and is worth millions of dollars must be doing something right.

The long history tells you the company is legit and some people clearly enjoy their products!

#2 30-60% commissions

So just getting the $159 starter pack you can start earning 30% commissions by selling the products.

However, there are even better commissions as you “rank up” the levels of the company.

Is Pure Romance a pyramid scheme?

You can see you can get up to 60% discount on products, which is the same as earning 60% commission (i.e. you buy the product at a discount, then sell it at retail price!)

#3 Sexual Health Foundation

Sexual health is certainly a taboo subject still.

Anyone working to try and educate people (including our health care system) to understand this better is working towards a great goal.

Here are some of the bad parts of Pure Romance that you should be aware of…

#1 Expensive products

This is always the biggest red flag for me!

When you see MLM companies with crazy high prices in comparison to other products out there it’s a big concern.

This is because it typically means the company is encouraging people to recruit rather than sell products.

If you get a huge discount as a distributor (which they do) it makes sense for MLM consultants to encourage people to become a consultant themselves.

That way they can “utilise the discount”.

Here’s the truth:

You will need to hit a “monthly sales quota” to remain “active”.

If you don’t sell enough then guess who needs to buy the products?

BINGO…

You will!

You (as the distributor) becomes the companies biggest customers and the reason the company keeps growing, but the majority of distributors still don’t earn anything!

This is the exact reason that MLM success rates are so low…

It also means that this isn’t an option for half of the population, making it even harder to sell or recruit people.

#4 Awkward to sell

Here’s the thing about the most successful MLM distributors…

They never shut up about their companies products.

They will usually take them everywhere they go, post demonstrations on social media and speak to just about anyone that will listen to them.

This works well for health products, makeup or cat food.

Now imagine doing this about vibrators…

Yeah, it’s not really the easiest topic to casually bring up in conversation around the dinner table.

You’ll end up getting this look from most people…

Then they will try to leave the conversation and unlikely to want to speak to you ever again.

#5 Former distributors claim it’s a pyramid scheme

This is quite a common complaint on platforms that people can leave their reviews such as Glassdoor or the Better Business Bureau.

When people are complaining about the same thing, you have to pay attention to it.

If it’s just one or two then you can usually take it with a pinch of salt.

#6 Expensive monthly costs to stay active

As it’s hard to find any information about the compensation plan or even the income disclosure of the company I found this out through some reviews on Trust Pilot…

If you can sell $200 of products every month then you won’t need to pay for this yourself.

But the fact is, that will be pretty hard to do on a consistent basis.

The MLM opportunity may suit a very select few people.

I can’t really even tell you exactly who, but I guess you’d need to have a pretty open-minded group of friends and some excellent online marketing skills.

In my opinion, this Pure Romance is not really a good opportunity for many people.

The expensive monthly fees and products scream warning signs to me no matter what MLM company it was.

Is there a better opportunity?

If you were to have any joy from any MLM opportunity, you would certainly need to learn how to make the internet work for you 24/7/365.

The thing is once you learn online marketing skills you will realise there are so many ways to make money online that you won’t actually need an MLM company.

Build Your Empire University is a training program to help promote the Enagic Multi-Level-Marketing company. 

Build Your Empire University is a corporation and a school that claims they can assist their clients in starting online professions and do not require any experience running an internet business.

They claim to be able to help individuals transition into the internet business sector, and they have established a step-by-step blueprint that has enabled thousands of clients from all over the world to either supplement their existing income or quit their day job.

They have several modules, which we will discuss further in our review, and they believe they can assist people in accomplishing this goal in just six months using their program.

To provide a high-level overview of what you get with Build Your Empire University, their package consists of training modules, an exclusive partner program, coaching calls, Q&A calls, support channels, action points, and monthly access for as long as you are a subscriber.

They also provide a money-back guarantee, stating that if you are still determining their capabilities and modules, you can test them out for a week at only one dollar. This option is available to customers who need clarification about purchasing their products.

It will show you how to use "attraction marketing" and how to use paid ads on social media to scale this commission based sales job.

If you want it to become a full time business for you, it really becomes a sales manager position where you encourage your downline to sell more stuff for you! 

Before we go any further I can hear the die hard Enagic members screaming...

But Enagic isn't an MLM, it's "direct selling" or "network marketing".

That is the exact definition of a MLM.

Here are just some of the programs that help you to recruit people into the Enagic MLM (they all offer the same thing basically):

Honestly that isn't even all of them. But they all are variations of trainings to help people promote the Enagic MLM. 

There's no saying for certain why there are so many programs training people on how to make money with Enagic.

It could be because each program eventually gets a bad name for itself, called a scam or the owners just want to start at the top of their own pyramid.

Is Build Your Empire University a pyramid scheme?

Build Your Empire University is not a pyramid scheme.

It provides education to help people use social media to "attract" other people into the Enagic MLM.

However BYE University and Enagic have signs of being a pyramid scheme in disguise. 

Enagic technically is not a pyramid scheme either. It's possible for distributors to make money by selling the expensive water machines and turmeric supplements. 

But here's what I mean by being similar to a pyramid scheme in disguise...

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company that promises payment to members for recruiting more people into the company rather than selling a product or service. 

The Wikipedia diagram below proves it is impossible for everyone to make money inside a pyramid scheme. That is why pyramid schemes are illegal in most countries...

However, Enagic does offer products. 

If you can sell the products you do make money.

It's just that the money you make by selling really expensive water machines isn't a whole lot! At least not until you recruit a downline into the MLM to sell products for you...

Success is rare with Build Your Empire University

Between 72.5% and 99.9% of all MLM representatives lose money. That's a fact.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

I looked into 167 MLM income disclosures and worked out the minimum a distributor would need to spend to remain active for one year. I even gave the MLMs the benefit of the doubt in this study and yet I still found that 92.3% of all members lost money. 

Sure you could be in those 7.7% of people that make money. 

But even then only 1 out of 179 members make more than $30k a year from MLMs.

Brodie and Ash seem like good guys. They really do provide as much value as possible from this type of training. 

You will learn some decent skills about how to market and brand yourself on social media. You'll even get some tips on how to use paid ads on social media and how to scale the sales you make. 

But it doesn't get away from the fact that you will basically be taught how to fake it till you make it. You're sole job is to recruit people into the Enagic MLM and then become a full time sales manager to encourage your downline to sell these expensive water machines.

The machines are not just overpriced water filters. The only thing they filter out is chlorine.

The main selling points of water Ionizers (other than changing the pH of water) is that:

  •  Electrolyzed reduced water (ERW): exposed to electric current separates charged particles
  • Hydrogen rich water (HRW): hydrogen gas dissolved in water (acts as an antioxidant)
  • Oxidation reduction potential (ORP): the lower the score the more antioxidants in the water (which is good)

Some of the "claimed" health benefits from distributors (who mostly know nothing about any of this science) include:

  • Slows aging process
  • Boost immune system
  • More hydrating
  • Boost metabolism
  • Relieves heartburn
  • Cures cancer, diabetes, measles
  • and a ton of other stuff

However, a ton of this sounded quite wishy washy to me. So I dug into some studies and found that it's clear more research is needed to be sure about any of the health claims. 

I won't bore you with all of this right now (Anna's analysis has you covered there if you want it). But here's the summary from Healthline...

The K8 is the flagship product at Enagic.

It can produce 7 different levels of pH water ranging from 2.5-11pH.

Here's what it is promoted as being good for:

  • Acidic 2.5ph: remove pesticide off food and a good disinfectant
  • 6.0pH: "beauty water" for skin and hair
  • Alkaline 11pH: best for drinking

Can you make money with Build Your Empire University?

It is possible to make money using the Build Your Empire University training. By selling water machines and recruiting people into the Enagic MLM you can make some decent money, especially if you focus on recruiting.

But the vast majority of people do not want to become *that* person on social media, so they won't make a penny. 

Here's your two options the way I see it:

  1. Sell yourself on social media, make it look like your life is amazing (even if it's not) and DM as many people as possible to "be their own boss" (even though you haven't made any money yet). Force crazy expensive water machines down people's throats that simply can't afford them. Encourage them to get into debt to buy it cos this new "online biz" will make their money back in no time (maybe... you hope!)
  2. Feel too weird about faking it till you make it and never earn a penny

So people can and do make money from the BYE University training. 

But are they doing it ethically?

How to make money with Build Your Empire University

There are three ways you can make money from the BYE Uni training:

  1. Sell the BYE University course and earn a commission
  2. Sell water ionizers (or turmeric supplements) and make a commission
  3. Recruit people into the Enagic MLM and make commissions from any sales they make

You'd think that selling a $4,980 water ionizer machine should make you some decent coin, right?

Well, wrong. 

It makes you $340. But if you recruit a ton of people into Enagic and they sell a $4,980 water machine, it could end up making you $2,040. 

This is exactly why the successful people inside BYE Uni know they are a recruiter and sales manager. If that's your ideal job, then you can make money. 

How much does it cost to join Build Your Empire University?

It costs $1 for a 7 day trial to join Build Your Empire University. It then costs $99 a month on an ongoing basis for the training and FB group and weekly calls.

But the costs do not stop there!

It costs at least $1,980 for a machine, which you must purchase to join the Enagic MLM. And then there's the hidden ongoing monthly costs...

You will need to pay $99 a month to get access to the Build Your Empire University training and community. But there are some additional costs that you need to be aware of to make the most from the training offered at BYE University, such as:

  • Email autoresponder ($15+ a month)
  • Funnel builders ($25-$97 a month)
  • Tracking software ($25+ a month)
  • Paying for ads (at least $100 a month)

It's reasonable to expect to spend over $250 a month on your education and tools. 

There are technically no monthly costs to remain as a Enagic MLM member. Honestly, this is great compared to many other MLM programs out there that require an "autoship" or a minimum monthly sales quota.

However, as soon as you have a 6A title or above, you need 10 machines to be sold in the qualifying month.

If you don't make a sale for 6 months you will start earning less money from indirect sales (people in your downline selling the machines). 

The "Trifecta" (which you are encouraged to buy) costs around $10,000 after tax. 

You'll get:

  • A K8 machine for $4,980
  • An Anespa DX machine for $2,890
  • UKON Turmeric supplements for $760 (4 month supply)

The reason I'm mentioning this inside the monthly costs section is because of the turmeric supplements...

They autoship 3 times a year!

So realistically you need to allow for:

  • $2,280 (if you get the turmeric supplements)
  • $3,000 a year on the training and tools 
  • be prepared to buy extra machines to hit your 10 sales quota once you are past 6A ranking or above

So technically there are no monthly fees. 

But you should probably be prepared to spend $5,280 a year on supplements and tools. After all, your upline will say "if you don't pay for these, how you can you expect to sell them to other people?"

You get paid a 30% commission for anyone you introduce to BYE University. So if they stay as a member for 4 months you would get paid around $120. 

But you make the "real money" inside the Enagic MLM...

There are 6 main "ranks" in Enagic:

  • 1A (1-2 sales) - receive 1 point
  • 2A (3-10 sales) - receive 2 points
  • 3A (11-20 sales) - receive 3 points
  • 4A (21-50 sales) - receive 4 points
  • 5A (51-100 sales) - receive 5 points
  • 6A (101+ sales) - receive 6 points

The 8 point system means how many points get handed out per sale. 

For example, if you sold your first K8 machine for $4,890 you would make $340 (you are 1A rank and get 1 point). The other 7 points go to your "upline". If the person directly above you was a 6A rank they would get 6 points ($2,040), leaving only one point to person above them, no matter what rank they are. Anyone above them would receive diddly squat. 

I just want to point out this fact here...

You may have been trying to sell anything to anyone for months.

You finally sell a huge $4,980 product...

But you only receive $340.

Yet the people above you earn $2,380!

If that is not an incentive to recruit more people so you can get a bigger chunk of the earnings, then I'm not sure what is?!

Is Build Your Empire University a scam?

Build Your Empire University is technically not a scam.

It offers "attraction marketing" training so you can use social media to try to recruit people into Enagic and sell expensive water filter machines.

But some people call it a scam because it is not clear what you are getting into until you're up to your eyeballs in debt. 

There are some shady marketing techniques used by BYE Uni and its distributors. 

But it's hard to blame them as this is what they've been taught to do. And many of them aren't even aware there are other ways to create real online businesses... rather than create a recruiter/ sales manager job for yourself.

Another thing BYEU has going for it is the fact that more people are Googling alkaline water...

As you can see everything is relative. And that chart is comparing alkaline water to something that around only 1% of the world owns. 

What I don't like about Build Your Empire University

There are some hidden truths that you must be aware of before diving in.

At least this way you have your eyes wide open and know what you're getting into...

#1 Expensive products

Just compare the price of Enagic water ionizers to similar products on Amazon...

So many distributors argue that the Enagic machines are superior for one reason or another.

But the fact is you can pick up water ionizers that can change the pH of the water from 2.5 to 11pH for a fraction of the cost...

There is way too much for me to dig into every argument about why the machines are, in fact, not superior.

But one of the big things Enagic hardcore fans argue is that Enagic has superior Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP aka more antioxidants, therefore it's better for you).

Enagic water ionizers are nothing special compared to other models. 

It's just that every Enagic distributor hasn't done the proper research themselves or ever tested another ionizer brand themselves. They are very good at regurgitating the same things they see other distributors say though... 

#2 Not allowed to promote other products

Once you are inside any MLM there is nearly always a condition that you are not allowed to promote other products or MLMs outside of that one...

A true entrepreneur is allowed to promote or advertise anything they want. They can also create any product or service they want to help people. Once your inside Enagic, you technically are only allowed to sell their water machines.

#3 Is Build Your Empire University a pyramid scheme in disguise?

OK before I get shot by die hard BYE fans, let me say this again...

Build Your Empire University is not a pyramid scheme.

However, it doesn't get away from the fact that if you want to make decent money (over $30k a year) using the training you will need to focus on recruiting people into the Enagic MLM. 

And no matter what, when the focus is on recruiting the payout always looks like this...

You could call this a triangle. Or you could change the shape completely and draw squiggly lines connecting people so it looks like a star. 

At the end of the day, most people will lose money.

And a few will make very good money (usually the owner of one of these training programs like BYE Uni... hey maybe that's why there's so many of them?!)

Sure you could be one of the few that make great money. But you will need to do this knowing that all the people you recruit will most likely lose money.

So there are people outright encouraging other people to commit "loan application fraud".

If you get in early you could be lucky enough to ride the bandwagon all the way to making those new suckers skint!

As you can see Enagic has been around for a long time, but it still has hardly anyone searching for it each month. Unlike some other MLMs.

If you are attractive, love to post woo woo stuff on social media all day and already have a bit of a following you could make a quick buck or two. 

But the simple fact is this...

You are not "being your own boss". You won't be building your own "online business". You are creating a recruiter/ sales manager job for yourself that doesn't pay you a salary. 

And it just so happens that there are much better ways that you can learn valuable online business skills by creating real value...

What is Zilis?

Zilis is a health and wellness Multi-Level-Marketing company that sells CBD oil. 

It was founded by Steven and Angie Thompson in 2015.

Zilis was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in Texas. They are an MLM company, which means they rely on independent distributors rather than advertising to market and sell its products.

Husbands and wives frequently run companies in the MLM industry for unclear reasons.

Steven has also directed various MLMs, including Cyberwize, which evolved into LiveSmart 360.

Steven departed LiveSmart 360 in 2015 to create Zilis, and the company ceased to exist shortly after.

Although MLM is not a viable business model for people to join, it is encouraging to see a company with an experienced founder.

There are a lot of health benefit claims behind the controversial CBD oil, but most scientists suggest that more research is needed. It's also really only beneficial for certain illnesses and diseases rather than overall health for everyday people.

So as you can see, there are some real people that are benefitting from the Zilis MLM program. But you're smart enough to know that is just a promotional video for Zilis. 

So you're probably still wondering...

Is ZIlis a pyramid scheme?

Technically, no.

ZIlis is not an outright pyramid scheme because members can make money by selling the CBD oil for a commission.

A better question in this case would be...

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company that promises payment to their members for recruiting more people into the company. 

Outright pyramid schemes do not sell any legit products or services. These are illegal in most countries because it's impossible for everyone to make money, as you can see in the diagram below...

Most MLM companies do offer a product or service. 

But it has become increasingly common for some MLMs to use these products as a distraction to what the company really is doing. 

Zilis does have expensive products and there is a monthly sales quota to hit to "stay active". These are not good signs for legit MLM companies as you can see in the short video below...

Truth be told... success is rare in any MLM program. 

Did you know that between 73% and 99% of all MLM representatives lose money?

The reason for this is that MLM's typically have a monthly "sales quota" for the distributors to hit. 

If they cannot sell enough products in that month then the distributors need to pay for the products themselves. 

In reality, this means the distributors end up being the companies biggest customers and they can often spend thousands of dollars before they sell anything or recruit anyone else. 

This results in them giving up.

Unfortunately, this is very similar to how Zilis works as you'll find out later in this review.

How does Zilis Work?

In addition to having a relatively low success rate, most MLMs have extremely complex payout structures.

They always include difficult-to-understand graphics, technical terminology, and a variety of other elements that only serve to complicate matters.

It is believed it's done on purpose, so new distributors need to know what a terrible business opportunity they've joined. It does not seem essential to understanding every aspect of this compensation plan.

Here is a breakdown of the several ways to earn money with Zilis:

  • Retail Commissions

Selling things directly to clients is one of the ways you may generate money with Zilis. Signing up for Zilis allows you to receive a discount on bulk purchases and earn a commission by reselling the products at full price.

The amount you earn depends on your rank and the package you choose when you join.

  • Direct Recruitment Commissions

In addition, you receive a commission if you refer someone to the program. The amount you receive depends on the plan they purchase at enrollment. If you convince someone to buy a bronze package, you will receive $20; with a silver package, you will receive $60; with a gold package, you will receive $120.

  • Commissions for the Recruitment of Vacant Positions

You also receive commissions when the people you attract recruit new participants. 

Your right and left legs must attain a minimum of 300 GV to qualify for residual recruitment commissions. The commissions you receive most likely rely on your affiliate rank and the package you chose when you joined.

You can earn between $250 per week at the lowest rank and $10,000 per week at the top, depending on your level.

Zilis makes good quality CBD oil and CBD extract. 

They offer everyday people the opportunity to make money from home by selling these products and recruiting more people into the company. 

This means two things:

  • Everyday people can work from home
  • Zilis saves money on advertising and marketing costs

So it sounds like a win-win right?

Well, before we uncover the truth let's check out the products...

First of all, it's so important to understand what any MLM company actually sells before you think about joining it. 

To be honest, if you do not use the products yourself or understand them, then there's not much point in thinking about joining because you are going to have to sell these... a lot!

So Zilis mainly sells CBD oils. 

But they do also sell some CBD extract.

Is Zilis a scam?

It's been proven that CBD oil has great benefits for certain illnesses and diseases such as:

  • Relieving pain
  • Reduce anxiety and depression
  • Alleviate cancer symptoms
  • Reduce acne
  • Ease Parkinson's and epilepsy symptoms
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Reduce diabetes

However, there is very little benefits for everyday people to take this regularly.

And the science almost always suggests that more research is needed as many of these studies have been conducted on animals and are not conclusive.

So if you are interested in joining the Zilis MLM, you need to know more about their CBD oils. 

Some of the highlights are:

  • It's USDA certified organic
  • 0% THC (this is the chemical that gives you the "high" from marijuana)
  • Natural

However, there are a lot of other products on the market similar to this and there are even other MLM companies that I have previously reviewed that offer pretty much the same thing such as Kannaway and Emris.

But truth be told, there is nothing special about Zilis' products.  

It is important to realise that the CBD MLM market is already very saturated. There are tons of companies that offer a very similar product line such as:

This will make it harder to sell these products as there are a lot of companies trying to sell the same thing. 

So you may be asking yourself...

The part you've been waiting for!

So let's get straight into it.

There are 2 ways you can make money as a Zilis distributor:

  1. Sell the products and make commission
  2. Recruit more people into the company and get bonuses from sales they make

It's important to note that you won't get paid just for recruiting people into the company.

Many MLM companies use this fact as a way to get around being an outright pyramid scheme. 

But Zilis does require each distributor to sell a set amount of products each month to stay active. 

So that means if you recruit active members into the company, you are getting bonuses from the sales they have to make (or more likely purchase themselves) every month aka residual income.

How much does it cost to join Zilis MLM?

It costs $99 to join Zilis as an ambassador.

This comes with a CBD oil to try (which is the price of their CBD oil!)

But if you want to start on the best foot, you will likely be encouraged to purchase an "enrollment pack" ranging from $199-$1,299...

But the costs do not stop there amigo!

This is the part that most "ambassadors" won't tell you and you'll likely figure it out the hard way (if you weren't reading this)...

It also costs $29 a month for the "pro-cloud" which helps you track sales and run reports on your "downline" (the people you recruit).

There's no training or anything useful in here though it's just some software to track stuff. 

If you don't go with that then there is a $49 annual fee. 

But there's more!

You need to sell 50PV every month to remain active as an ambassador.

This means that if you cannot sell this amount you will need to pay for it yourself (and one CBD oil costs $99!)

So you're really looking at a total cost for one year:

  • $99
  • $199 to $1,299
  • $99 x 12
  • $29 x 12

1st year total expenses = $1,834 to $2,934

This is nowhere near the cost of starting a standard bricks and mortar business.

But it's certainly more than $99!

Zilis compensation plan

Most MLM companies like to make their compensation plan harder to understand than explaining quantum physics in Arabic. 

Zilis is no different. So I will try to keep this simple...

There are 9 ways that Zilis says it will pay its members:

  1. Retail commissions (retail- wholesale price... 50%)
  2. Fast start bonus ($20, $60 or $130 commission for recruiting someone if they purchase a "product pack)
  3. Binary team builder (bonus from your downline)
  4. Generational bonus (more bonuses for your downline sales as  you "rank up")
  5. Infinity residual bonus (when you reach the top "ranks")
  6. Blessing bonus (bonus for you to give to charity)
  7. Jeep bonus (once you achieve a high rank)
  8. Healthcare bonus (once you achieve a rank)
  9. Global bonus pool (once you achieve a rank)

Are you totally confused yet?

Great, that's just how Zilis wants it! So it seems like there's loads of ways for you to earn "residual income". 

Let's cut through the crap shall we?

There's only 2 things you need to do to get paid:

  1. Sell CBD oil
  2. Recruit more people into Zilis

And if you really look at those ways to get paid, you may notice that the majority of them require you to recruit people.

Success is rare with Zilis

Typically, more established MLMs include something known as an income disclosure. Disclosure of income displays how much company distributors earn, how long it took them to get that money, and other statistics.

No MLM income disclosure appears favorable. Typically, more than fifty percent of participants lose money. The vast majority of those who make money earn only a few hundred dollars PER YEAR.

A minuscule fraction (typically less than.1%) earns a living salary.

Because Zilis is new, it has yet toot have an income disclosure, implying that most users do not earn substantial revenue from it (read their income statement here).

They acknowledge that the annual industry average for MLM is only $300. That means half of MLM participants earn less than $1 every day!

No, Zilis is not a scam.

It provides legit CBD oil and pays its recruiters like it says it will. 

However, is this an opportunity that you want to get involved with?

Only you can be the judge, and the rest of this Zilis review will help to reveal the truth about the company.

What I like about Zilis MLM

There are a couple of things I like about the company...

#1 High quality products

The CBD oil is clearly good quality. This is another reason that Zilis ia not a scam.

There are some poor quality CBD oils out there that you need to be aware of. However, Zilis only uses natural ingredients and has some great reviews. 

It's heartwarming to see some people really benefiting from the products that Zilis creates. 

#2 Zilis pays it forward

Zilis likes to "pay it forward".

They have a patriot program (good for veterans) & match every zilis purchase with nutrition packed donations to countries in need. 

It's great to see companies that give back and don't just keep all the money for themselves.

What I don't like about Zilis MLM

There are some important things to be aware of about Zilis before jumping in.

#1 Expensive products

This is always the first thing I check in any MLM that I review. 

It's a huge red flag that the company is a pyramid scheme in disguise. 

Seriously just think about it...

Why would anyone willingly spend 100% or more for a very similar product? 

The answer to this lies in the fact that "distributors" have to hit their monthly sales quota. If they do not sell enough CBD oil from Zilis, then they have to buy it themselves. 

This means that most MLM members will encourage people to join the company rather than sell the expensive products. Basically, it's more likely for someone to buy these products if they are told they have the opportunity to make more money!

  • Highly rated Amazon CBD oil = $5-$20 per oz

Zilis is 500% to 2,000% more expensive than other natural, good quality and highly rated CBD oil.

Zilis is not the only MLM company that does this, but when you truly understand what's going on, it's quite disturbing to know how many people get tricked into joining these companies without knowing the full picture. 

#2 Pyramid scheme in disguise

OK, so the previous point made is the first sign that Zilis could be a pyramid scheme in disguise.

But when you add these things into the mix it gets more concerning:

  • 8 out of 9 "ways to get paid" from Zilis requires you to recruit
  • The fastrack bonus encourages you to recruit 4 more people in the first 30 days
  • People write reviews saying how they feel Zilis is a "pyramid scheme" all the time

The truth is, nobody can stop these companies because they "play by the rules" and use correct terminology as loopholes. 

It genuinely is possible for you to make some good money from Zilis...

BUT...

You HAVE to recruit people.

Fact.

If that's not a "pyramid scheme in disguise" then I'm not sure what is.

#3 Low income potential

Zilis has an income disclosure page on their website...

But apart from what you see above it seems to be missing the income disclosure!

You can even see that the average distributor earns less than $300 a year!

When you take into account the monthly costs (you will need to buy CBD oil every month at $99 a pop to stay active) you can now see why 99% of MLM distributors lose money!

#4 Expensive monthly costs

When you combine this with the high prices of the products you will understand how some people can make good money.

With the CBD oil costing $99 and you need to purchase something every month plus the $29 for a month for the "back office" it becomes pretty pricey.

If you are able to recruit a lot of people into the company (this means ask all your friends and family, and probably church or make new "Facebook friends" all the time) then you can make a "residual income". 

But it will be at the expense of the people you recruit into the company. 

Because most people don't have sales experience.

Most people won't be able to recruit anybody.

And most people will feel embarrassed that they even fell for this scheme so they keep paying to "stay active" for a while. 

#5 Downward trend

This is the second thing I always check with any MLM company. 

The ones that do offer affordable prices and don't have a monthly "sales quota" can work as long as you know how to use internet marketing to help you (just think about how may CBD oils you could sell face to face and how many you could sell if the internet did it for you 24/7!)

But they are less likely to work once they go past the "early momentum phase".

As you can see Zilis is being searched for less and less each month on Google. Whilst other MLM companies like Farmasi are still in that upward early momentum phase!

The most successful MLM distributors "get in early" and recruit a lot of people!

That ship has sailed for Zilis.

If you understand how to use internet marketing to get traffic to a website every month for free, then it may be a nice way to add another income stream. 

But I would only recommend you bother with it if you genuinely use the products yourself and like them. 

For 99% of everyday people... don't fool for the fancy promises and lifestyle that you won't achieve.

It sells a variety of products that belong to different markets, such as the health and wellness, technology, beauty, and travel sectors.

The company was founded by Nat Puranaputra, Chanida Puranaputra, Chad Chong, Nattida Chong, Sophie Wong, and Henry Mash.

I digged deeper into their individual profiles and discovered that they’ve been to other MLM endeavors, all of which being riddled with features present in scams.

Nope, ByDzyne is not a pyramid scheme.

The members of the company are still earning money by selling the products, whether it be from the tech, beauty, travel, or cosmetic areas of the company. They earn money without recruiting people.

However, a more fitting question to that is… Is ByDzyne a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company that is promising payment to members for recruiting people into the agency instead of selling legit products.

Most countries considered these illegal as all members cannot earn money from a firm that is only paying people for recruitment.

There are some members who make money but what they do is sell the idea of a “business opportunity.”

But if you were to closely examine the diagram above in detail, you’ll notice that it’s just plain impossible for all of the members to make money in a system that’s only compensating members for recruitment.

But why is it that...

Success is rare with ByDzyne

You are going to have a hard time achieving success in an MLM such as ByDzyne because of their sales quota.

In fact, between 72.5% and 99.9% of all MLM representatives lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This is happening because MLM companies have a “sales quota” that is imposed on all members.

What this means is that the only way they can be “active” and be eligible for receiving commissions is if they manage to sell a certain number of products monthly.

You’ll have a hard time making money from ByDzyne.

There are a few people that do earn some bucks, but they work tirelessly ‘round the clock acting like full-time sales managers but are only compensation for something that’s less than minimum wage.

Even their income disclosure showcases the fact that hardly anyone is earning good money from ByDzyne.

How to make money with ByDzyne

There are 2 ways to make money from ByDzyne. These are by:

  • Selling their products
  • Recruiting members

Take note that you can only earn money from the sales that your downline members make and not by simply recruiting.

So, before I proceed explaining their compensation plan, let’s learn more about...

How much does it cost to join ByDzyne?

You need to pay $39 annually to become a member.

Aside from that, you also have to purchase their business kit that comes in 5 different package options.

These are:

  • Basic Kit ($300)
  • Advance Kit ($1,200)
  • Promo Kit ($1,600)
  • Premium Kit ($2,500)
  • Founders Kit ($5,000)

ByDzyne monthly cost

For you to stay as an active member, you need to maintain 60 PV monthly. This means selling at least $60 worth of products every month.

I did further research on the expenses you’re going to incur in 1 year, and here’s what I found out…

  • $39
  • $60 x 12
  • $300 to $5000 x $12 = $3,600 to $60,000

Minimum costs for year 1 = $4,359 - $60,759

And take note that the other costs in training, food, travel, and gas, aren’t yet included there...

Most MLMs have confusing compensation plans.

Well, the same case as with ByDzyone. But you don’t need to worry because I will be doing my best to simplify things so you can easily understand it…

ByDzyne offers members 3 main ways to earn money:

  • Retail Commission - Earn 10% to 20% on commission from every sale that you make.
  • Recruitment Commission - Earn 20% to 30% commissions from your downline members, depending on your rank.
  • Strong Leg Commission - Earn 5% commission from the sales of your newly recruited members.

If not, then you’ve got no choice but to just buy them for yourself. What then happens is that you are spending more money instead of making!

The truth that all MLM companies don’t want their members to know is that their biggest customer base are their members. They are required to buy their products regularly as they hope they’ll make it big soon...

There’s only one legit way to avoid spending $60 monthly, and that’s by recruiting members.

ByDzyne sells an assortment of useful products. They might work well. But are they overpriced? No doubt!

The only way you can make money is by recruiting as many people as you can, which is just wrong especially that you already know the majority of these people will just lose money.

This isn’t an ethical business model, based on my perception because you must sell the dream of financial freedom and then leave it all up to them to discovering the ugly facts later...

What is Job Killing about?

Job Killing (JK) is a training and coaching program on how to make money by generating leads for local businesses.  

Job Killing is an online course that teaches individuals how to earn money online. Because this is an internet business, such chances can be pursued from anywhere, even from the comfort of your home.

The business strategy that will be taught to you is "lead generation," utilizing the rank-and-rent system. It may sound complicated to some, but it's fairly simple.

The concept is to create leads (or, in other words, potential customers).

But unlike other ways of lead creation, you learn how to manage Facebook advertisements and SEO for other companies' websites...

This course will teach you the "Rank-And-Rent" lead generation technique. This, in a nutshell, entails creating a simple website, allowing it to rank on Google Search based on relevant keywords, and then "selling" the leads to small and local businesses.

There is a market for your services, and business owners, especially those with smaller operations, are eager to pay you to promote their company. And there are several significant causes for this.

  • Many business owners need to gain basic knowledge of marketing.

  • And even if they did, they still would need more time to make the necessary promotional materials. As an alternative, they would be concerned with managing the company.

There is a clear reason why 61% of marketers name lead creation as one of their major concerns. SEO is an all-out war, so you'll have to compete against firms already employing this strategy to generate leads. The goal is to achieve the coveted top ranking.

Dan Klein and Brad Campbell started the company.

I can't find the exact start date but people were joining in 2014. Since then, Brad seems to have left the company (or taken a big back seat behind the scenes) but I can't find out why or when.

Dan Klein is the co-founder of JK and a born salesman. His charisma bursts through and you will form an opinion about him after about 30 seconds of any video you see of him.

I know I did!

I saw him in a Live FB video with dreadlocks and you can prob guess what I thought... you can't help but think... this guy is just trying to sell me something!!

But 150 minutes later, this guy still had me gripped. He did things and said things that not many people would do.

For example, one newbie was sending leads to a local business (just like the training shows you how to do) but the business owner wasn't paying him. Dan literally got the number and called this guy on the FB Live... a bit like a protective parent calling a bully!

It's safe to say that Dan has more business nous than most people and really cares about helping other people. He is the real deal and still walks the talk... he still uses the methods that he teaches.

How does Job Killing Work?

To recap, Job-Killing is an online course that teaches its customers how to build a lead generation company by leveraging "digital real estate" (i.e., your website).

There are only a handful of stages to this process.

  • Get Specific.

  • Create a Webpage

  • Pick a keyword, and dominate the SERPs for it (SERP)

  • Search Engine Optimization

  • Make a list of potential customers and sell it to your client.

Choosing a specialty and creating a website for it is the first two steps, and they are rather simple. Getting your website at the top of search engine results is difficult but crucial if you want to collect leads.

Because of this, Job-Killing stresses the significance of instructing students in proper SEO techniques for their respective websites. Techniques such as... will be covered in this course dedicated to search engine optimization.

  • Creation of High-Performing SEO Content

  • Making Closed Blog Networks

  • Purposeful Backlink Promotion

Along with search engine optimization knowledge, you'll pick out pointers on how to market your site to local companies (usually within your area).

The only thing they forgot to mention is all the effort you'll put into making this company plan a success. Some experts estimate that you will need at least three months to improve your website's rating and client acquisition efforts significantly.

There are 3 basic steps...

  • Do your due dilligence to find a good niche
  • Build a website
  • Rank on Google page 1 and rent your leads

The aim is to make websites that rank on Google page 1 that can generate leads for local businesses. If you do that you can get leads "on tap" without having to spend more time and money on ads or improving someone elses website (like you do with SEO clients).

Here's how it works in a nutshell...

  • If someone is looking to cut back a tree in Grand Rapids they would type in something like "tree service Grand Rapids"
  • If you build a website called treeservicegrandrapids.com and put helpful content on that website, it's possible to rank on Google page 1
  • The person finds your website and calls the number on there to get your help
  • You redirect the phone call to a tree service local business
  • Connect with the business owner and strike a deal that works for both of you (i.e. they pay $500 a month for your leads and it helps them make an extra $3,000 a month!)

In theory it's a win-win.

You need to find a "JK coach". 

It's not like a "click this button and pay the money" to join thing.

You actually have to do 3 things to join:

  1. Fill out an application form 
  2. Have a "strategy session" to see if you're a good fit for the course
  3. Pay your dosh

I'd like to think that this process actually does filter people out as this is definately NOT for everyone. But it could just be a scarcity marketing tactic to make you think you're special when you get accepted.

I was expecting to have a very hard sell phone call when I went thought this.

But I was pleasantly surprised at how down to earth and open the coach was that I had a chat with. He was super helpful and answered all the niggling questions I had.

Now, I can almost hear your mind screaming...

How much does Job Killing cost to join?

It has cost people between $4,860 to $8,778, depending on how much you pay in one go. 

The issue is, you cannot find this price anywhere on their website or before you go through the coaching application.

You may think that $5,000 is worth it to live life on your own terms. And I would agree. 

But many people fail to realise there are ongoing costs to this business model such as...

  • Weebley hosting and domain: $25 a month per website (needed)
  • Call tracker i.e. Callrail $45-$145 per month or Callsling: $498 one time fee (needed- but you get one included - note it doesn't work everywhere in the world)

But I wanted the full picture  so I dug into BBB, YouTube and other people's reviews online.

Is Job Killing a scam?

Job Killing is not a scam. 

It offers legit training methods to "rank and rent" a website for a local business.

There's great support in the Facebook Group and you can get some coaching and mentoring from the people within the group. 

The reason you may have seen people calling Job Killing a scam is simply because they did not realise what they were getting into before.

They find out that you really do have to put the work in to make any money and it takes time and effort to rank your websites.

Here are some of the things I really like about Job Killing and why it really caught my eye...

#1 Legit business model: unique in building assets

There are tons of lead generation training programs out there such as:

However, all of those methods involve using Facebook ads to create a lead generation agency. Once you stop producing ads you stop generating leads and your income will stop. 

Job Killing is only one of 2 programs that I have seen that shows you how to actually create assets that you own by:

  • Building a website
  • Getting leads on tap for free from Google
  • "Rent" out your leads for a monthly fee

Imagine your website is a piece of real estate. If the tenant (the business owner you rent your leads to) doesn't want to pay you any more, you simply take your leads and find another "tenant".

You still own the asset and you can even sell the asset for a set price in the future if you don't want it any more. 

This is by far the most attractive aspect of Job Killing to me compared to alternatives.

#2 It works: Real success stories

I won't bore you with all of the success stories you can find. But here are 2 examples...

If you go through the application you will be sent literally dozens of success stories.

Some scams pay fake actors to do what these 2 did above. But there are hours of 1-1 chats with Dan, individual testimonials and live presentations showing real people who have made this system work for them. 

Nobody can deny that real people do make this work. 

#3 Passive income potential

If you set up your website and get ranked at the top of Google it can stay there for years without you needing to do anything to it. 

Is that easy?

Nope.

Can anyone do it?

Yep!

Look, this time I wouldn't have believed this either.

But I am literally a nobody with no techie experience at all and I am currently getting thousands of visitors to my websites by ranking them on Google. 

Anyone can learn this stuff and it means that you can just get paid on tap every month for sending leads without doing anything.

Of course you need to find good local business owners that can cope with the leads and build a good relationship with them, but this is possible!

#4 Facebook group & weekly "Lives"

There are over 5,000 members and 4 years worth of questions that you can search for inside the private Facebook group.

When you go through the application process you will even get access to the group for about 24 hours before your call. I checked out the group and there is so much help. Sometimes FB groups can be full of motivational mumbo jumbo.

But watching Dan's 3 hour live call (that he does twice a week!) I learnt tons!

Dan did a 3 hour Live for any newbies.

Real members went on the call with him to ask questions and Dan gave hands on advice (and even made calls for them as I mentioned earlier!)

Even without doing any of the training I can see how much value there is in that group alone.

#5 Learn crucial skills for any business

This is not a one trick pony. You won't just learn how to rank a website on Google from this community. Here are just some of the key things you'll learn:

  • Technical aspects: SEO, rank and rent, track leads etc.
  • Sales
  • Business philosophy
  • Prospecting for new clients

I thought this review was pretty good to see what another insider thinks...

Even if you don't continue with the lead gen route, you will learn skills that will help with any future business you do. If nothing else it will 100% give you a kick up the bum to actually do something!!

Job Killing cons

Here are some of the aspects of Job Killing that I didn't like. I think it's important to be aware of these things before joining just so you have the correct expectations...

#1 Hidden costs

For a start you cannot find out the price before you jump on the call!

(Yeah... I did cos I've become a research ninja!)...

But, if you had no idea what the cost was going to be for this course you will probably get a nasty surprise! It's not cheap amigo!

The costs do not stop there either though...

At the absolute minimum you need website hosting and domain (it costs $25 a month on Weebly per website... and this is what the training recommends). You'll also need some sort of keyword research tool (I believe they recommend SpyFU for $33+ a month). 

There are just way better options out there than this now and even if you use go down the Job Killing route or already use it you should defo look at what I recommend below.

#2 It will take time to rank... and rent

So many people jump into lead gen training courses because of the promise of "fast money". 

Many FB ads training shows you how people can land clients within the first week or so. Job Killing does have this aspect too and I noticed in the FB group how people to do more cold calling and outreach if you need quick money at the start. 

But if you are using the "rank and rent" method, which I believe is what makes this course unique, it will take time. 

Google will take at least 3 months to even recognise your website as legit. And depending on the "niche" and competition in the area it can take much longer to get on page one of Google. 

You basically need to put in a lot of work and have faith in the system (trust me it will work... but many people give up too early!)

And even when your website does start ranking, it's not all rainbows and butterflies...

#3 "Chasing your money"

One of the bad things about the "rank and rent" model is that you may get people taking your leads and not paying you money.

That means you need to keep track of your leads you send and "chase the money", especially in the early days with a new client. 

I didn't want to include this video because this guy is just talking badly about Job Killing to promote his own course "Rank Daddy"...

But it's one of the few negative reviews I've seen and you may stumble across it. If you just watch about 2 minutes, I think he makes some important points to that you should also question (I certainly did). 

Note: I found out this guy got kicked out of Job Killing (he didn't quit). Also the "SEO techniques" he talks about are also being taught inside Job Killing's Facebook group, so I'm guessing there's at least some training on this.

Like I already pointed out, Job Killing is not a one trick pony.

There are business lessons, support and training on all kinds of lead gen techniques including the one thing that guy above makes it sound like they are missing. In fact, Job Killing's training is actually better than standard SEO training because you own the asset... whereas your SEO client can throw you out at any time and you're left with nothing. 

#4 There's a lot to learn for beginners

If you have zero online experience and have never tried to be an "entrepreneur" before, then this is not going to be easy. 

I'm not saying that any other business model will be easy either. But the stakes are much higher in a course like this where you have just dropped a few thousand dollars before trying it out. 

Analysis paralysis, overwhelm and feeling out of your depth should be expected... a lot in the early days!

If you can stick it out and persevere, you can certainly learn what you need to do though.

#5 Members selling their sites

If you search for site:jobkilling.com in Google you can see what the majority of their pages are on the site...

There are tons of people selling sites. Now, you could argue it's a positive as it's a way for people to sell a site they have built and don't want anymore. 

But realistically this shows you that there are a lot of people that put in the time, money and effort into building sites that simply don't work. Maybe they don't generate leads, maybe they can't sell the leads on.

Whatever the reason it's just important to be aware that you will likely have to make numerous websites to find one or two that work. Hint... once you find something that works, that's a clue to double down on that niche/ location 😉

My opinion - Job Killing

I really like the rank and rent concept. 

It stands out compared to other lead gen FB ads courses that are becoming saturated.

If you can find a niche small business that works then there's no reason why you can't just copy and paste your website into different locations and create a little lead gen empire! 

But this method mainly works for certain types of businesses (ideally that get a lot of phone calls like a limo service and blue collar service based businesses).

So it is something to be aware of and you will likely end up competing with other people doing the same thing. 

If you're still considering joining it then I'd recommend checking out this guy's application. He was very honest and helpful.

Why didn't I join then?

3 big reasons:

  1. I had put in the elbow grease and hard work needed to start making passive income from affiliate marketing
  2. If I joined I would have tried to do both and ended up doing neither well #donethatbefore
  3. Uncertainty around COVID-19 (I'm sure this can still work in any economy, but it 100% would be harder than normal... whereas affiliate marketing has become easier due to people buying more things online as they are at home 24/7)

Look, everyone is different.

If you have the hustle and drive to make this work, you can make big money. The same can be said for affiliate marketing though (I've personally spoken to multiple 7 figure affiliate marketers on the podcast). 

But even if you do go down the JK route I'd still suggest checking out my number 1 recommendation even if it's just for the website hosting & keyword research tool (which are arguably way better than Weebly, you still get drag and drop features & way cheaper)...

Alternatives to Job Killing

Aimee Ball's training is pretty much identical to this (I believe she was actually a former member of Job Killing... awkward!)

But you can actually learn a ton about local SEO inside Wealthy Affiliate. 

Many people inside lead generation courses have the hump about WA for various reasons. 

There is a huge difference in start up costs (WA is free to try too) & there is step by step training that teaches you how to make passive income from affiliate marketing. But it has a lot more going for it that they seem to miss or not see, for example...

  • It has local SEO training in previous live webinars (teaching you the same principles that JK does)
  • It provides you with 10 secure and high speed hosted websites 
  • There is a keyword research tool

What is Team National?

Team National is a discount membership Multi-Level-Marketing company. 

It was founded in 1997 by Richard Loehr and was passed onto his daughter, Angela in 2008.

Team National is a Fort Lauderdale-based network marketing and membership savings organization.

In 1997, Dick Loehr created the company.

In 2000, Angela Loehr Chrysler, his daughter, joined the team.

Angela became the president of Team National in 2006. And upon her father Dick Loehr's passing in 2008, she assumed control of Team National.

This company is a member of the Direct Selling Association (DSA), Dun and Bradstreet (D&B), and the US Chamber of Commerce, which is one of its many positive attributes.

Being a member of these groups lends them a considerable reputation, and when combined with their 23 years in business, they are a solid corporation.

In 2016, Team National generated $659,000,000 in revenue. That is quite remarkable for an MLM model.

The company not only provides a way for people to get discounts on a huge range of products, but they also provide an opportunity for everyday people to earn money from home by recruiting more people into the Team National company.

Technically no, Team National is not a pyramid scheme.

It's possible for their "International Marketing Directors" (IMD) to earn money by selling the discount memberships to other people. They do not HAVE to recruit people into the MLM company to earn good money.

However, a much better question would be... "is Team National a pyramid scheme in disguise?"...

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company that promises payment to its members for recruiting more people into the company rather than selling any products or services.

These are illegal in most countries and the Wikipedia diagram below shows you why it's impossible for everyone to make money inside a company like this...

Team National does offer legit discount memberships that can save people a lot of money. 

However, it is very hard for IMD's to make any significant money unless they recruit a lot of people.

This means that the Team National is similar to a "pyramid scheme in disguise" because members will need to recruit people to "be their own boss" or work from home.

In fact, success if hard to find inside any MLM company.

Did you know that between 73% and 99.9% of all MLM representatives lose money?

If you're looking for a standard business, Team National is different. The uniqueness of their product type is one of their hallmarks.

However, the money-making structure is the same as in virtually every other multi-level marketing or affiliate scheme.

You receive a commission when you sell the service and recruit others to use it.

Revenue Generation Through Product Sales

In addition to being difficult to understand, Team National businesses don't sell anything.

They market memberships that allow customers to save money when buying things.

Some of these are sizable, widely recognized brands. Team National needs to specify the exact percentages. Therefore, you can save money in four distinct ways.

  • Buying from Team National Factory directly will help you save money on material goods.

  • By banding together, consumers and businesses can save money on a wide range of services.

  • Discounts for local businesses using our business services.

  • Funding Return Plan. Individuals can use these deals to earn rebates on purchases made at various stores.

Team National is a wholesale cooperative. The firm takes advantage of its size to make bulk purchases, allowing it to pass the savings on to customers.

It's the same as BJ's or Costco in every way possible. Except they have a real store and you must pay a membership fee if you want to shop there.

There are two main schemes that Team National offers as discounts.

Team National's website also needs to provide more detail beyond the membership price ($795 for two years or $2,915 for life) and the number of available membership tiers.

To put it another way, you'll have to shell out some serious dough up front to save cash on something you'll eventually have to buy.

Before you decide to jump into any MLM, you will need to understand the products or services on offer. 

Team National has a range of discounts for tons of products and services under these main 4 categories:

  • Group buying power – TN helps people to save on items such as home and life insurance, automobiles, jewelry and so on.
  • Factory-direct pricing – provides savings on flooring, mattresses, grills…
  • Business services – Business owners can save on payment processing, legal solutions, and other benefits
  • Rebate programs – Cashback from many retailers, from household goods, shoes, clothing, electronics, etc.

To access these discounts there are 2 membership options of:

  • Standard Membership: $795 for 2 years
  • Or Premium Membership (good for businesses): $2915 for 2 years

Can you make money with Team National?

The income disclosure proves that it is very hard to make money from Team National, but not impossible. 

The few people that do well from the company and make over $14k a year will treat this more like a full time "sales manager" job than a part time income to their other job. 

Typically, successful members in a MLM company are extroverted people that use social media all the time and very good at "selling the dream of being your own boss".

Hence, they have to recruit a large "downline" to make serious money and benefit from the bonuses & sales their team makes. 

They will then spend most of their time on Zoom calls encouraging their "team" to sell and recruit more to help them make more money!

How to make money with Team National

Like most MLMs there are 2 ways you can earn money as a IMD at Team National:

  1. Sell the memberships to receive a commission of the sale
  2. Recruit people into the MLM and earn bonuses from their sales

This is why Team National is not a pyramid scheme and has not been shut down by the FTC. 

They do not pay people directly for recruiting people into the MLM.

But there are some very lucrative bonuses for any sales their downline can make. This means that members need to focus on recruiting to make money. 

How much does it cost to join Team National MLM?

It costs $55 for the starter kit and $25 annual membership fee. 

If you want to sell these memberships you will be encouraged to try them for yourself so that you will understand them better. 

A 2 year members will cost either:

  • Standard Membership: $795 (covers your immediate family)
  • Or Premium Membership: $2,195 (covers some business expenses and your "extended family")

But the fees do not stop there...

Team National monthly cost

If you want to become an International Marketing Director (IMD) you will need to allow for some additional monthly expenses to access all of the resources on offer at Team National:

  • Success Club: $35.95 per month
  • TNAllAccess.com: $10 per month.
  • Information on Demand services for Genealogy or checking your downline: $99 a year or $9 a month
  • Personal Big N Marketplace website - $75/year or $7/month for members; $495 for non-members

This information is not available on their website and I had to do some serious digging through YouTube videos and other IMD's websites to find this out. 

So the total cost for your first year would be:

  • $55
  • $25
  • $35.95 x 12
  • $10 x 12
  • $99 
  • $795- $2,195
  • $75/year 

Total costs for year 1 = $1,595.40- $2,995.40

Obviously this is cheaper that starting a standard bricks and mortar business. But it's certainly not "free to start" like some people make it seem. 

Team National compensation plan

For some reason many MLMs like to make their compensation plan harder to understand than solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded. 

Team National is no different, so I will do my best to keep this simple. 

There are 5 ways you can get paid from Team National:

  1. Direct discount membership commissions ($25-$100)
  2. Residual discount membership commissions (binary compensation plan- if you recruit 10 points on both legs = $1,500… see diagram below. 3 points = premium member; 1 point = standard member)
  3. Hosting bonus- (If your downline hits their 10 & 10- you receive a $1,000 bonus)
  4. Presidential bonuses (extra $10-$100 bonuses for sales if you reach presidential rank)
  5. Promotions - Trips for recruiting people.

If you are still confused by this... do not worry!

The only thing you actually need to know is WHAT to do to make money:

They sell legit discount memberships that people can use to save money from certain expenses. They also pay their IMD's like they say they will. 

However, is this the best way for you to "be your own boss and work from home"?

There are some things that I do like about Team National's MLM program compared to many other MLMs...

This is a good sign that Team National is not a scam and is not likely to disappear tomorrow.

#2 Positive Team National product reviews

You can find some positive Team National reviews on forum site or review sites like the Better Business Bureau (BBB)

It's important to be aware that many MLMs encourage their recruits to leave positive reviews in certain places to make the company seem better, which can help the IMD's sell more!

But positive reviews about the discounts is a great sign that Team National is not a scam and can save people money.  

#3 No monthly sales quota to remain active

You do need to sell 2 memberships per year to remain active. 

However, there is no monthly sales quota to stay active at the company. 

You have to hit a "sales quota" at many MLMs otherwise they suspend your account. This means that many recruits end up buying extra products themselves so they don't get kicked out. 

This is a great sign, however, there are some sneaky monthly costs that you do need to be aware of inside Team National...

What I don't like about Team National

There are some hidden truths that you won't find out about on their website.

Many people find this out the hard way, but it's important to be aware of this before you dive in...

#1 Expensive to join

Did you know there are tons of rewards programs and cashback companies that offer you discounts that are free to join?

In fact, you can find 15 legit survey sites that pay you money here.

Inside there's even companies like Rakuten that pay you $10 to join... and then give you discounts for your online shopping!

Now, you may be thinking... but surely Team National's discounts are way better?

Well, that's what I thought so I did a quick search to see if there were other companies that offer a similar service.

It turns out AARP costs around $12 a year and offers very similar services and discounts as you can see below...

And I'm not the only one who knows you can get the same kind of  products without spending a penny or for a fraction of the  price. Check out this review on the BBB...

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

So it's great that there is no monthly sales quota.

However there are some additional monthly expenses that you need to pay according to other people's reviews and YouTube videos. 

Some of this include:

  • Website: $7 a month
  • Success club: $39.95 a month
  • TN All Access subscription: $10 a month

You can even see the CEO talking about the "success club" but there is no information anywhere on the website (or this video) about the costs of the club...

The simple fact is that to make decent money, you will need to recruit people into the MLM. 

And any company that requires you to recruit to make money means that most people will lose money.

Still don't believe me? Well, check this out...

#4 Only 1 out of 167 make over $14k a year

Team National's 2019 income disclaimer proves that 0.6% of all members earnt more than $14,000 for the year...

In simple English that means that only 1 out of 167 IMD's consistently earn more than $1,000 a month.

#5 Downward trend

The final nail in the coffin is found on Google Trends...

It's much harder to sell a product or recruit people if they are not looking for it. Since 2018 there has been a huge decrease in searches for Team National on Google. 

You can see other MLMs such as Farmasi are going the other way to this trend. 

I also found out that in 2016 Team National had 48,494 IMD's. In 2019 there were only 25,420 IMD's. Almost half of the IMD's have disappeared in 3 years!

It is possible to find discounts from the membership offered at IMD. 

However, it is possible to find these kinds of discounts from companies that you do not need to pay to join.

There are even discount memberships that are very similar that cost less than $20 a year!

But what do I think are your chances of making money from this MLM?...

98.5% of IMDs lose money. 

That means that if you are going to make money you will need to recruit people that you know are very likely going to lose money...

And that is not my idea of an ethical business model!
