What is Trevo?

Trevo is an Multi-Level-Marketing company that was founded by Mayank Jain in 2010.

Not much is known about the company’s history and background, but it is sure that the main selling point of Trevo is by promoting a healthy lifestyle with the help of their products, specifically their super juice.

Furthermore, they say that their super juice has a lot of health benefits which everyone needs to have, which is why they call it a super juice in the first place.

Check out this 2-minute video about the company...

Let us then move and know if...

Is Trevo a pyramid scheme?

No, Trevo is not a pyramid scheme because they have members who don’t have to solely depend on recruitment just to gain money.

Instead, they sell products and earn commissions out of it. But even if this is what is happening, it’s still worthy to ask…

Is Trevo a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is usually in the form of a company. It pays members whenever they recruit people into the system.

This is what they just do, which is very far from the normal selling of products that legit companies do.

This is also the number one reason why a lot of countries around the globe have banned these kinds of companies.

You can see from this Wikipedia diagram why this happens...

Members who make money are also just those who recruit people by enticing them with the business opportunity, even if it’s very clear from the diagram that there is no business and earning opportunity here.

It’s also impossible for all of the members to make money because they are just going to run out of members they can recruit later...

Here is a 5-minute video that is going to help you in spotting a pyramid scheme in disguise...

But why do many say...

Success is rare with Trevo

It is hard to reach success in an MLM company such as Trevo.

Little do people know that between 72.5% and 99.9% of all MLM members lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This happens because of the sales quota that MLMs have, where members can only stay active and receive commissions if they are able to reach the required number of products every month.

If they don’t do this, then they get nothing. But there’s a way to this and that is by buying the products for their own self.

However, this also means that you’re going to lose huge money from your own pocket before you can recruit your first member.

How does Trevo Work?

Trevo works by selling various health and wellness products such as their flagship super juice they call the Trevo.

They also offer everyday people a chance to work from the comforts of their own home by selling their products and getting commissions out of it.

It’s a win-win situation in theory. But Trevo saves a whole lot of money because they don’t have to maintain costly marketing campaigns.

Instead, it is their members who do all of the hard work. Before we confirm that this is really the case, let us first dig deep into...

Trevo products

Before we proceed, it’s vital that you know what this MLM actually sells. This way, you can know what to expect in case you do join them later.

Here are a few of their best-selling products:

  • RP3 ($43) - A nutritional supplement that boosts your immune system, prostate health, and mental focus and memory.
  • Sync ($120) - A hemp oil that contains cannabidiol which is effective in treating anxiety and inflammations. It also boosts your health with the help of its added natural components.
Is Trevo a Scam: Products

Be aware, though, that Trevo isn’t the only company that offers these kinds of products. Because there are a host of many different MLMs out there that are selling very similar stuff like what Trevo has.

The most popular and established MLM brands that sell similar products with Trevo are:

What’s funny is that all these companies say that they are special and that they stand out because they are selling a very unique, rare, and different kind of offering.

When in reality, they’re just selling the same health and wellness products, but just in different packaging, names, and marketing.

Now that you know this is the case, then what makes Trevo special, according to them?

Trevo flagship product

Trevo ($60) - A juice blend that contains 174 exclusive natural ingredients that provide the body with the essential antioxidants, enzymes, fatty acids, and vitamins and minerals needed to sustain a healthy body.

Does this then mean...

Can you make money with Trevo?

Yes, you can make money if you become a member of Trevo. But the money you’ll make is low, and most of the time, not really worth it.

The few who make money are those who make an income that is comparable to that of a minimum wage. Or worse, even lower.

And they work on selling the products for more than 8 hours a day, which isn’t the kind of part-time job you’re looking for.

Furthermore, Trevo does not have any income disclosure to prove that its members make money.

How to make money with Trevo

There are 2 things members should do if they want to make money from Trevo:

  • Sell their products
  • Recruit members

How much does it cost to join Trevo?

Members must pay a $20 subscription fee. Aside from that, they must also buy a business kit.

Here are the most popular and sought-after business kits:

  • Bottle System: $72
  • Elite Director PowerStart System: $425
  • Elite Executive PowerStart System: $980

And you must also maintain...

Trevo monthly cost

Members should maintain 100 PV monthly to stay qualified and active.

Here’s the cost you are going to incur in your 1st year…

  • $20
  • $72 to $980
  • $100 x 12

Minimum costs for year 1 = $1,292 to $2,200

Note, though, that this does not yet include the other costs like training, marketing, travel, and miscellaneous expenses, so expect to spend more...

Trevo compensation plan

MLM companies have confusing compensation plans. This has been the case with all the reviews I made for MLMs.

And well, that includes Trevo. But don’t worry because I am going to do my best to keep things simple and straightforward.

Trevo offers members 4 different ways to earn money:

  • Retail Commissions - Earn 5% to 20% commission every time you sell a product. The value depends on the wholesale price and retail price you followed.
  • Recruitment Bonuses - Earn a $12 to $228 bonus every time you recruit a member. This depends on your rank and level.
  • Rank Achievement - Earn a $500 bonus when you get promoted to the Bronze and Platinum levels.
  • Pool Bonus - Be part of the list of members who are going to equally divide the 15% global revenue of the company. Members should be at least at the Amethyst level to be eligible to receive this bonus.
Is Trevo a Scam: Compensation

Surely, it still sounds confusing because of the complex names, fancy terms, and complicated acronyms they use.

This is no surprise for MLMs because they do this as a strategy to attract members and make them think that there are a lot of ways they can make money from the company...

Even if there are just 2 main things they can do, which are:

  • Sell products
  • Recruit people

Here is a 27-minute video about the full compensation plan of the company...

Or you can find the full compensation plan here.

Is Trevo a scam?

Trevo is not a scam because members earn money without recruiting. They do this by simply selling their products.

Trevo also pays members as what is stated in the compensation plan. And they do this on time.

But despite all these, members are still not happy knowing that they lose a lot of money instead of actually making money.

This is due to the sales quota imposed on them. Hence, they then decide to call the company a scam.

But is it really? The next section of this unbiased and up-to-date review of Trevo is going to reveal the facts of this company so you can make an informed decision...

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. What I like about Trevo

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Positive product reviews

The best thing I like about Trevo is the many positive reviews customers have on them. Here are some of them:

Is Trevo a Scam: Pros

As you can see, customers find their juice and other products effective and healthy.

This is a good sign that you can easily sell the products because they do work.

#2 Established reputation

The average lifespan of an MLM is 5 years.

But compare that to Trevo which was founded in 2010. This means a full 10 years of continuous operations.

This also means that there’s a good chance that the company will survive long and it won’t be gone immediately compared to most MLMs.

What I don't like about Trevo

#1 Expensive products

Trevo sells expensive and overpriced nutritional juice. Compare their price to their competitors:

Is Trevo a Scam: Cons
You can see that there are a lot of other brands out there that offer the same stuff as Trevo, and have lower prices.

For sure, customers are going to choose the cheaper ones. Especially that they still have good ratings and comments.

#2 Saturated market

Health and wellness companies are just overrated and downright saturated.

Being a member of Trevo means that you need to compete with the hundreds, if not thousands of more reputable and popular health and wellness brands out there.

#3 No income disclosure

An income disclosure is solid proof that the company is making money. But Trevo does not have any.

Maybe they don’t want the people to know that they’re not income generating or their members aren’t making good money. Or maybe they just don’t want to release one.

#4 Hidden monthly expenses

Being a member means being able to maintain 100 PV monthly or selling at least $100 monthly.

If you can’t, then you buy the products for yourself, which also means you get to spend $100.

Note that you and the rest of the members of the company are the biggest customer base of Trevo because you assure the company that you’re going to buy products from them regularly.

This is the same case with all MLMs.

#5 Is Trevo a pyramid scheme in disguise?

Yes, it is.

It’s because the $100 autoship can be avoided if you recruit members.

Here is how their system looks...

MLM pyramid scheme

The more members you recruit, the more income you get, which also means the less likely you have to get $100 from your own pocket just to pay for the sales quota autoship.

#6 Downward trend

I always refer to Google Trends when I write a review, and here’s what it showed me this time around:

trevo_updates

As you can see, not many people are searching for Trevo.

In fact, the number is decreasing. This only means one thing, and that Trevo’s popularity is waning and going down.

MTO Income

My opinion - Trevo

Trevo is a legit and legal company that sells a super juice and an assortment of health and wellness products that are healthy and effective. But they are downright expensive.

And talking about their business opportunity?...

The only way members can make money is by means of aggressive recruitment.

This isn’t right, especially if you already know that the majority of the people that you are going to recruit are just going to lose lots of money.

What you are basically doing is selling the idea and hope of financial freedom and then letting them discover that they can’t achieve any of the stuff you said.

There are a lot of other better and more profitable business opportunities out there you can choose from...

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...
