What is Xyngular?

Xyngular is an MLM company specializing in selling health and wellness products. The company is headquartered in Lehi, Utah, although its items are sold via agents and internet markets.

The company's primary focus is the sale of weight-loss goods. Since many people suffer from obesity today, they are always interested in items that help them lose weight more quickly.

Xyngular knows why individuals want to lose weight and has developed several kits to facilitate this. Each package is designed to help you achieve something specific, although weight loss is the ultimate objective.

Some online reviews of Xyngular assert that the product is effective. After reading this evaluation, you may wish to purchase the company's items. Continue reading to see why Xyngular may be beneficial for your health.

Products by Xyngular may not be optimal for some. Consider the following possibilities if you are seeking alternatives.

Xyngular is a health and wellness Multi-Level-Marketing company that was founded by Marc Walker in 2009.

It offers everyday people the opportunity to "be their own boss" and work from home by selling the products and recruiting more people to sell the products.

You can learn more about the "opportunity" in the 2-minute video below...

Some people may watch that video and start to get pretty excited.

But you're smart enough to realise this is just a promotional video created by Xyngular. So you're probably still wondering...

Is Xyngular a pyramid scheme?

Xyngular is technically not a pyramid scheme.

It's possible for their distributors to make money by selling Xyngular products. However, Xyngular does act like a "pyramid scheme in disguise".

Let me explain what I mean by this...

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company that promises payment to its members for recruiting more people into the company, rather than selling any products or services.

These are illegal in almost every country because it is impossible for every member to make money inside a company structure like this.

Just see the Wikipedia diagram below to see why...

Xyngular, like most MLMs, does offer legit products though.

But it is actually very hard for the distributors to cover their own expenses, let alone make any decent money, inside the company... unless they recruit a big "downline". And that, my friend, is a "pyramid scheme in disguise".

Just watch the 5 minute video below to see why...

Success is hard to find with Xyngular

In fact, success is rare in any  MLM company.

Research suggests that between 73% and 99% of all MLM representatives lose money!

MLM FTC Fact Stat

Xyngular has a 2018 income disclosure that shares how much their members made for the year (before expenses).

You can see in this disclosure that at least 85% of members made less than $832 for the year. When you account for the fact that members will need to allow costs for at least $2,000 a year to receive all the bonuses it's safe to come to say...

Therefore, at least 85% of Xyngular members lose money.

I'll dig into the income disclosure in more detail later, but for now...

How does Xyngular Work?

Xyngular makes a range of health and wellness products, with the main focus on selling weight loss "packs".

However, the company saves a lot of money on advertising and marketing because they get everyday people to help promote the products.

In return, these "distributors" can receive commission  for any sales they make and they can even "build a team" (aka recruit people) to earn bonuses from the sales their team makes.

In theory, it's like a win-win!

Individuals hunt for tools and strategies to help them lose weight faster, given the increasing prevalence of obesity and the concurrent acceleration of work and technological progress.

Xyngular weight loss kits and individual goods with weight loss as their major purpose. The other benefits include boosting energy levels, reduced cravings, improved eating control, and excellent intestinal health.

Reviews accessible on the website attest to the efficacy of the products and recipes for weight reduction and the overall health and wellness of the consumers, making Xyngular a legitimate multi-level marketing (MLM) weight loss organization.

Xyngular's weight loss-focused bundles and kits include the Xyngular Ultimate Kit, X Bundle, X Plus, X Advanced, Trim Down Trio, X Factor, Xyngular Ignite Kit, and Digestion Duo.

Xypstix, Xyng, Xr2, Trimstix, Shine, Spryng, Xyngular Complete Probiotic, Resist, Lean, Prime, Immune, Global Blend, Global Blend Classic, Genesis, Genesis Capsules, Xyngular Complete Collagen, Flex, Flush, Axion, Cardio, Cheat, Accelerate, Advanced Omega, and 8-Day Jumpstart are individual products that are also included in these bundles and kits

Xyngular products

Before you start any MLM, it's vital to understand the products on offer, as this is what you will need to sell and promote on social media for the  foreseeable future! And it's best to not fill your FB feed with crap! Agreed?

Xyngular has products under the following categories:

  • Weight loss- pills and meal replacement drinks/ protein shakes
  • Energy- pills
  • Nutrition- pills and drinks
  • Sleep/ Stress- pills

You can find all the Xyngular products here.

xyngular products-min

Before you get too excited about this and think they are onto something special, it's important to be aware that there are thousands of brands that offer a very similar range of products.

In fact, there are hundreds of MLMs that offer a similar product range such as:

So what makes Xyngular stand out?...

Xyngular Ignite- flagship product

Xyngular's stand out product is their 8 day weight loss pack called Ignite.

It comes with:

  • Global blend (antioxidant calpol)
  • Axion (nutrition capsule supplement)
  • Xyng (tablet for energy)
  • Lean (Snack replacement)
  • Accelerate (fat burn tablets)
  • Cheat (appetite control tablets)
  • Flush (gut health tablets)
  • XR2 (Sleep and Stress Tablets)
  • Advanced Omega (Nutrition tablets)
is Xyngular a pyramid scheme- products ignite-min

It has a pretty hefty price tag of $419 retail price, but we will investigate that in more detail later.

These are some of the benefits that Ignite claims to have:

  • Kick start weight loss*
  • Nutritional support
  • Boost metabolism*
  • Burn fat*
  • Remove toxins

But there is this disclaimer next to many of their "benefits"...

*  These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

So without being evaluated by the FDA, you're really just guessing if these products work. The only way you know is by trying them yourself or finding real reviews from people that have tried the products such as on Amazon...

Not the most glowing reviews to start with then, but there aren't many people reviewing them on Amazon (technically products are not allowed to be sold here though)! But don't worry, I do more digging later in this review.

The 2-minute sales video below explains more about what Xyngular does...

Can you make money with Xyngular MLM?

Just by looking at the income disclosure you can see that it is very hard to make money with Xyngular. Only 1 in 166 members make over $27k a year.

And these members will be more like a "sales manager" than "being their own boss".

Typically the most successful MLM members are very active on social media and great at selling the dream of working from home to friends, family and new people they make Facebook friends with.

But they don't stop there... they hold regular "meetings" (via Zoom or Skype) to encourage their "team" to get out there and make more sales because it will help them "be in control of their life"... aka make the upline more money!

It is possible, but don't expect to put in part time work and make $500+ a month.

How to make money with Xyngular MLM

Like most MLMs there are 2 ways you can make money from Xyngular:

  1. Sell Xyngular products for a commission
  2. Recruit people to sell Xyngular products for additional bonuses

This is how MLMs avoid being shut down by the FTC...

They do not pay bonuses for people directly recruiting others into the company.

They just pay them tons of weird bonuses that nobody really understands for any sales their "downline" makes...

How much does it cost to join Xyngular?

It costs $14.95 to join Xyngular.

Then you will be encouraged to buy a "transformation kit" for $199 to $549.

These kits come with a range of products and at a discounted price. And if you are serious about making money from Xyngular, you should probably use the products yourself so that you can "sell from experience" (but don't be pressured into buying something that you don't want!)

However, the costs do not stop there amigo...

Xyngular monthly cost

Most people have absolutely no idea what "PV" or "volume requirements" means...

is Xyngular a scam- monthly sales quota-min

In simple English it means that if you don't want to have your account suspended or closed you need to sell 30PV every month. That is around $40 worth of Xyngular products.

If you want to receive all the bonuses available you actually need to sell 120 PV a month.

That means you need to sell around $150 worth of products EVERY month. If you don't you will be encouraged to buy the products yourself so that your account doesn't get closed down (but really your sponsor is encouraging you to keep buying so they make more commission!)

That means you need to allow the following expenses for your first year:

  • $14.95
  • $199-$549
  • $150 x 12

Total cost for 1 year = $2,013.95- $2,363.95

And this is before you add on any extra training, marketing or shipping & packaging costs.

Xyngular compensation plan

As you can probably already tell, Xyngular uses a compensation plan that is harder to understand than solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded. They use complicated terms and acronyms like PV, QV, XV, R2D2 etc.

So I will do my best to keep this simple.

There are 7 ways Xyngular claims you can be paid:

  1. Retail profits (10-25% commission)
  2. Rapid rewards program (sign up new customers or recruits with 360 PV)
  3. Quick start bonus ($100 for someone joining with 120PV+ & enrolling 4 people with 120PV in their first order)
  4. Residual earnings (unilevel model 8 levels deep if you have 120PV per month + 500QV per month)
  5. Sales pools (get a share of 1% of company global volume if you are a certain rank, see table below)
  6. Leadership bonus (bonuses if you help your team get promoted)
  7. Passport program (trips if you hit certain qualified volume)
is Xyngular a pyramid scheme- compensation plan-min

If you are confused after reading that or trying to work out that table... DO NOT WORRY!

It really doesn't matter as all it's doing is distracting you from the fact that there's only 2 things you can actually do to make money:

  1. Sell Xyngular products
  2. Recruit people

Nothing else matters at the start!

The 5-minute video below is actually quite good compared to most MLMs at keeping it simple...

Or you can find the full 3 page Xyngular compensation plan here.

Is Xyngular a scam?

Xyngular is technically not a scam.

However, some people get mad and call it a scam when they join and end up losing money.

It's technically not Xyngulars fault as they do share their compensation plan and are operating what qualifies as a legal business model currently (although it may change).

But is this the best opportunity for you?

Only you can decide and the rest of this review will expose the hidden truths to help you make a more informed decision.

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse Xyngular in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. Common positive reviews

Here are some of the positive reviews we had from Site Jabber about the job opportunity...

  • "For us, the biggest testimony to PhenQ’s effectiveness is the fact that more than 190000 bottles of the supplement have been sold already. If it was not really as effective as it was touted to be, then it wouldn’t even come close to achieving those numbers, in an industry as fickle as this."

Common negative reviews

And here are the common negative reviews...

  • "When you receive a product you think you'll get help, But no my sponsor doesn't show up or phone me when said then the company refuses to give me another sponsor after phoning and pleading and asking questions so I am going blind and not sure if I am doing it proper, so people think long and hard before you throw over $600 away to a company that is not there for you. I will be weighting a letter to head office and requesting a refund as it is 100% satisfaction and I have absolutely no satisfaction so now we will see how they stand behind their refund."

What I like about Xyngular

There are a few things that I genuinely like about Xyngular compared to some other MLMs...

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from referring others to the service rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Proven company

Did you know that only 1 in 3 MLMs survive longer than 10 years?

Well, Xyngular was founded in 2009 so it's actually doing better than 66% of MLMs!

It's a good sign that Xyngular is not a scam.

#2 Ready made system to lose weight

Amazon does have some useful reviews from real customers...

is Xyngular a scam- reviews-min

This is another great sign that Xyngular is not a scam. When you see real people that have tried the products and have had a positive experience from them.

#3 Maintained interest

This is the best sign for me...

is Xyngular a pyramid scheme- trends-min

Many MLMs go through this "early momentum phase" and then everyone forgets about it. Just see how Farmasi is going through this right now.

However, people have continued to keep searching for Xyngular over a sustained period of time. This is a great sign for the company!

What I don't like about Xyngular

So many people do call Xyngular a scam. Here are some of the hidden truths that people are not aware of before joining and find out the hard way...

#1 Expensive products

When a MLM has overpriced products it's a BIG red flag that the company may be a pyramid scheme in disguise...

is Xyngular a pyramid scheme- product packs-min
O.N.E. Multivitamin Amazon-min
protein shake

Xyngular weight loss products = $51 a day

Highly rated Amazon supplement and meal replacement = $1.46 a day

Now, I know you're probably thinking "surely Xyngular products are better". But the long term nutrition and health benefits from those 2 Amazon products are just as good (if not better) than any similar MLM I have reviewed.

Sure you may get some quick weight loss results from throwing a ton of "hunger suppressant" pills into your body.

However, there's even a lot of research that claims people shouldn't be wasting their money with supplements anyway.

So who is buying this overpriced stuff?...

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

Xyngular's BIGGEST customer is actually their "distributors"...

is Xyngular a scam- monthly fees-min

Just remember they need 120 PV every month to receive all the benefits on offer at Xyngular. That means they need to sell $150+ every month.

That is not easy!

Once they realise how hard it is to convince their best friends to buy this insanely overpriced stuff, they often try to save face by buying the products themselves so they have the chance to prove others wrong and "be their own boss".

The truth is they just become Xyngular's favourite and most loyal consumers.

This is why...

#3 Xyngular is a pyramid scheme in disguise

When you combine those 2 hidden truths you can see why Xyngular is just a pyramid scheme in disguise.

The only way people can avoid losing $150 a month is by recruiting more people so that their downline pays the $150+ each month. It's great in theory to build a team but the reality is it ends up looking something like this...

MLM pyramid scheme

This is the reason that many people call Xyngular a scam. When you need to recruit people to avoid losing money the company is really a pyramid scheme in disguise and most people lose money.

Don't believe me?

Well check this out...

#4 Only 1 in 166 members earn over $27k a year

The truth is revealed in the Xyngular 2018 income disclosure...

is Xyngular a pyramid scheme- income disclosure-min

3.02% of "active members" earnt over $27k in 2018, which may not seem too bad!

However, when you read the small print you can see that anyone who didn't generate 30PV in 3 months is not included in the table above.

So yes I agree that not everyone wants to promote Xyngular to make money necessarily. However, it will certainly be much more that only 20% of all members like this income disclosure claims!

The truth is that 0.6% of ALL members made over $27 in 2018.

That means that 1 out of 166 members earn over $27k a year!

Is that enough for you and your family to live off so you can "be your own boss"? And that's without taking into account any expenses!

#5 Negative Xyngular reviews

You can find reviews about the company and its products in numerous places online like forums or certain review sites. But one of the most trusted resources is the Better Business Bureau (BBB)...

is Xyngular a scam- review-min
is Xyngular a scam- negative review-min

This isn't me just handpicking a bad review out either. There are numerous negative Xyngular reviews all over the internet.

Bust some of the most common complaints were:

  • Made me feel sick
  • I returned the products as they didn't work but they won't give me a refund
  • Unhealthy way to lose weight and not long term
  • 45 day return policy is a lie
  • Automatically charged my card an extra $600+

This is really the final nail in the coffin for me...

Ready to make passive income online?

I've created a growing passive income online with no previous marketing skills or online experience...

I've made a special video for you to explain exactly how I did this.

MTO Income

My opinion - Xyngular

I think Xyngular offers some products that can help people hold themselves accountable to lose weight.

Sometimes paying a lot of money on something helps people take it more seriously.

However, what do I think are your chances of making money from the Xyngular MLM?...

It is possible to make money. But you need to be willing to recruit a huge team around you. The only way you can do that is by convincing them it's a great way to make money, which is really a lie.

As you can see from this Xyngular MLM review, 85%+ lose money!

That doesn't sound like my idea of an honest and ethical business model....

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not all scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...

  1. Gosh, it make me so mad how people (companies) take advantage of less fortunate. I’m a researcher by heart and so I always do my research before diving in. Thank you for shining a light on Xyngular pyramid system and secret costs. I mean, over $2300 a year so I can maybe, maybe make $800 and lose $1500..thank you but no thank you.

Oh, great thing I found this.

Thanks again love, great value and content you’re providing for people! It’s much appreciated!

    Katya

    1. Hey Katya, I’m glad it was useful!

It’s important to realise there are the odd people that do make money from Xyngular (or many MLMs). But they only do this by recruiting a lot of people and then becoming like a “sales manager” and encouraging their team to sell and recruit more people.

If that floats your boat then go for it! But just be aware you are probably going to recruit a lot of people that will lose money. And they are not going to be too happy!

  2. Hello there, this an amazing review, thanks for enlightening us on “Xyngular multi-level marketing”!

Since it effective in weight loss although expensive, it is fine by me because as you mentioned, people tends to take things seriously when they spend more to acquire but for the “easily affordable” they don’t take it seriously.

Thanks so much for sharing this information with us!

    1. Glad it could help. Yeah, I don’t disagree with that at all. Many people take things more seriously if they have put some serious money into it and if it helps you to lose weight and get healthier then great.

The issue I have with it is that you could easily find the same stuff for a fraction of the price. And those supplements and replacements are not sustainable/ healthy long term. Many people gain more weight once they stop taking these supplements.

      It’s horses for courses though

  3. Hi thanks for this article.I really don’t have experience of being involved with xyngular but I have been involved with mlm businesses in the past, notably herbalife another mlm(network marketing) health and wellness company that specialises in a weight management nutritional products and while their products are quite good, they are expensive and I didn’t make much money with them. plus, I won’t be surprised if that’s a similar experience shared by other xyngular disturbitors.but based on your article I believe it isn’t a scam.

    1. Thanks for sharing your experience of working in a MLM.

So many of them are very similar, you’re right.

Bascially if you can sell the dream “of being your own boss” and recruit a lot of people then you can make money. You have to be a great “sales manager” and get them on Zoom calls to encourage them to sell and recruit regularly. If that floats your boat then it could work
