#1 No Traffic = No Business
Everything else you have read in this 12 Minute Affiliate review is irrelevant.
These next 3 points really explain exactly what you need to be aware of before you start chucking money at it.
The ONLY way 12 Minute Affiliate helps you to get traffic is by paying for “visitors”. This method is called solo ads where they will email an existing “email list” with the link to your landing page (which was made for you).
There is no training on how you can get free traffic, in fact, there’s no training on how to create your own website.
You are solely reliant on spending money to send visitors your way, and you have no idea who they will be.
This leads onto…
#2 The Hidden Costs…
So now you know you will have to keep spending money on getting traffic.
You will also need to spend at least $19 a month on the Aweber autoresponder (you don’t have an option of which autoresponder to use as the whole system is linked to Aweber).
Simply put, you need to spend…

At least $99 a month on traffic… likely much more if you want it to work

#3 Can You Even Make a Profit?
Devon’s sales tactics are quite clever.
As stated earlier in this 12 Minute Affiliate review…
It may be possible to make $460 a day with 12 minutes of work. But that WON’T be profit.
STOP
Re-read that last sentence.
As you can see from the screenshot above 100 clicks doesn’t mean you get 100 people to opt-in to your email list.
They claim a “fair” opt-in rate is 20-25%. I would say this is certainly on the high side for any type of opt-in.
But let’s roll with it.
It doesn’t end there though.
Even when you get people on your email list there is a conversion rate (the number of people that buy the product you recommend compared to how many people you send it to).
A realistic conversion rate is 1-5% for random email funnels (it can be higher for an email list of people that you have built up trust with over time).
So let’s be generous and call it 10% conversion rate.
Most standard Clickbank products are somewhere in the region of $50 and get around 50% commission.
Let’s round it up to say you get an average commission of $30.
Here’s the maths:
$99 buys you 100 clicks
30% aka 30 people join your email list (I’m being even more generous here)
10% buy aka 3 people buy through your link from your emails
$30 x 3 = $90
Congratulations you’ve just made $90!! Go and spread the word in the private Facebook group!!
Just think how much Linsay has spent to get this commission (at least $165)

I’ll tell you for a fact… it will just lead you further into the rabbit hole wondering why you can’t get this “super simple” thing to work.
3 months later you’ll check your credit card balance only to wonder how it got this bad.

#6 You Won’t Own Your Business

Summary: The Freedom Era provides "attraction marketing" education. This is a fancy term for faking it till you make it on social media to "attract" people to slide into your DMs to figure out what you do.
Then you simply sell them Enagic MLM products (water filter systems and turmeric supplements) for thousands of dollars. And encourage them to sell the same to other unsuspecting victims to help make you (and them) more money.
The Freedom Era is a multi-level marketing platform that offers its customers the opportunity to learn how to start an online business.
According to the company, this training entails promoting the platform to others through paid advertisements, social media marketing, and organic marketing methods.
If you dig a little bit more into the whole thing, you'll find out that The Freedom Era is tied to a Japanese firm named Enagic, which produces water filtration units. If you do that, you'll learn that Enagic is behind the whole thing.
According to the available resources, the training section of the Enagic website needs to be updated. This is why some businesses are focused on training people on how to sell these products in the most effective way possible.
There are a lot of multi-level marketing companies that operate in a manner that is comparable to this one.
They avoid that one basic truth by telling you that you will learn how to create your own "thriving online business". And there is some truth to that. They will teach you some important skills online businesses need...
But it won't be your online business you'll grow.
Before we go any further I can hear the die hard Enagic members screaming...
But Enagic isn't an MLM, it's "direct selling" or "network marketing".
So I'll let the FTC explain the difference between Direct selling and MLM's...
Enagic distributors are not employees. And they recruit additional sales people into the company to become part of their "downline".
That is the exact definition of a MLM.
Can we PLEASE get over this now? It doesn't really matter MLM, network marketing and direct selling is basically the same thing (and there is always a pyramid shape system involved).

Honestly that isn't even all of them. But they all a variations of trainings to help people promote the Enagic MLM.
There's no saying for certain why there are so many programs training people on how to make money with Enagic. It could be because each program eventually gets a bad name for itself, called a scam or the owners just want to start at the top of their own pyramid.
Speaking of which...
Is The Freedom Era a pyramid scheme?
Technically no, The Freedom Era is not a pyramid scheme.
It is an education program that teaches people how to sell high priced items (Enagic water machines) using social media, attraction marketing, funnels and paid ads.
Enagic is technically not a pyramid scheme either, but both of these programs certainly do have signs of being a pyramid scheme in disguise.
Let me explain what I mean by that...
What is a pyramid scheme?
A company that promises payment to members for recruiting more people into the company rather than selling a product or service.
As you can see in the Wikipedia digram below, it is literally impossible for everyone to make money inside a pyramid scheme. They are illegal in most countries...
But Enagic does sell physical products (water machines and turmeric supplements). The Freedom Era sells education that you could use in other online business ventures to make money if you really want!
The reason they both have signs of being a pyramid scheme (remember they are not one... technically!) is that there is a strong focus on recruiting more people into them.
The Freedom Era pays 25% commissions if you recruit someone else into it. And Enagic will only pay you the big bucks once you recruit a "downline".

I mean, all of this sounds great. But it's only step 2 and 3 that you actually get any real "meat" of education. These are the skills that could actually help you create your own online business, but it is a tiny fraction of the training.
There are full FB ads courses, content creation courses or instagram ads courses that exist by themselves. Cramming all of this inside TFE means it is more of an insight into what you can do. You'll need to work out the nitty gritty parts yourself.
But all of this is kind of irrelevant if you have no interest in selling water machines...
Enagic products
The Freedom Era helps you to promote is Enagics products. These consist of 8 water Ionizer machines and various Ukon (turmeric) supplements.
The machines are not just overpriced water filters though. As the only thing they filter out is chlorine.
The main selling points of water Ionizers (other than changing the pH of water) is:
Electrolyzed reduced water (ERW): exposed to electric current separates charged particles
Hydrogen rich water (HRW): hydrogen gas dissolved in water (acts as an antioxidant)
Oxidation reduction potential (ORP): the lower the score the more antioxidants in the water (which is good)
Some of the "claimed" health benefits from distributors (who mostly know nothing about any of this science) include:
Slows aging process
Boost immune system
More hydrating
Boost metabolism
Relieves heartburn
Cures cancer, diabetes, measles
and a ton of other stuff
However, a ton of this sounded quite wishy washy to me. So I dug into some studies and found that it's clear more research is needed to be sure about any of the health claims.
I won't bore you with all of this right now (Anna's analysis has you covered there if you want it). But here's the summary from Healthline...
"However, more research is needed beyond these small studies. In particular, research is needed to answer other claims made by alkaline water supporters"
The Freedom Era flagship product
The K8 is the flagship product at Enagic.
It can produce 7 different levels of pH water ranging from 2.5-11pH. Here's what it is promoted as being good for:
Acidic 2.5ph: remove pesticide off food and a good disinfectant
6.0pH: "beauty water" for skin and hair
Alkaline 11pH: best for drinking

Yep you have probably seen people happily publishing income screenshots from "high ticket" sales they have made!
It is possible to make money from The Freedom Era, let's stop beating around the bush here!
If you are a relatively attractive person that would love to be a "personal brand" or "influencer" on social media it can work.
If you also don't have morals about how much people spend on things they can get for less than half the price (and arguably better) that's a bonus.
But if you also don't mind selling hundreds (ideally thousands) of people the dream of "being their own boss" even when you know the vast majority won't make a penny, then this can really work.
The people that make the most money know that they are a full time recruiter for The Freedom Era and Enagic.
If that sounds like a job that you'd like then you sure can make some serious dollar here*.
*Just know that most people will lose money trying!
How to make money with The Freedom Era
There are three things you can do to make money from The Freedom Era training:
Sell The Freedom Era training to someone else for a commission
Sell water machines or turmeric supplements for a commission
Recruit people into the Enagic MLM and make commissions for all the sales they make
Now, I can almost hear your mind asking...
How much does it cost to join The Freedom Era?
It costs $99 per month or $897 per year to join The Freedom Era.
But the costs do not stop there!
The sole purpose of the training is to help you sell and recruit more for Enagic. To join Enagic you need to buy a water ionizer machine. That will set you back at least $1,980 and up to $10,000 for a package such as "The Trifecta".
The Freedom Era monthly cost
Those who do not have recommendations can sign up via their website. Before selling them to others as a distributor, you must first get one for yourself.
You will be forced to pay $897 per year or $99 per month for access to their training courses and resources.
You have the option of paying monthly or annually for the subscription. Please note that these costs do not include the cost of the water filtration units, which you will need to obtain from a different supplier initially.
But they do have a 30-day money-back guarantee. Indeed, this will be a lengthy process.
In addition, if you have already downloaded any proprietary content from within The Freedom Era, you will immediately forfeit your right to a refund. You may also be asked to pay an international credit card chargeback fee to receive your refund.
It will cost $99 a month to stay as a member of the Freedom Era. But there are some other hidden costs to set up your "automations", which you aren't told about anywhere on the sales page. Things such as:
Email autoresponder ($15+ a month)
Funnel builders ($25-$97 a month)
Tracking software ($25+ a month)
Paying for ads (at least $100 a month)
That adds up to around $270+ a month to use the training.
However, there are technically no monthly costs to remain as a Enagic MLM member. Honestly, this is great compared to many other MLM programs out there that require an "autoship" or a minimum monthly sales quota.
But as soon as you have a 6A title or above, you need 10 machines to be sold in the qualifying month.
If you don't make a sale for 6 months you will start earning less money from indirect sales (people in your downline selling the machines).
The "Trifecta" (which you are encouraged to buy) costs around $10,000 after tax.
You'll get:
A K8 machine for $4,980
An Anespa DX machine for $2,890
UKON Turmeric supplements for $760 (4 month supply)
The reason I'm mentioning this is because of the turmeric supplements...
They autoship 3 times a year!
So realistically you need to allow for:
$2,280 (if you get the turmeric supplements)
$3,240 for your "online business" expenses
be prepared to buy extra machines to hit your 10 sales quota once you are past 6A ranking or above
So technically there are no monthly fees.
But you should probably be prepared to spend $5,520 a year on supplements and your online software. After all, your upline will say "if you don't pay for these, how you can you expect to sell them to other people?"
The Freedom Era compensation plan
You can get a nice 25% commission if someone joins The Freedom Era through your link. But the real money is made inside Enagic... There are 6 main "ranks" in Enagic:
1A (1-2 sales) - receive 1 point
2A (3-10 sales) - receive 2 points
3A (11-20 sales) - receive 3 points
4A (21-50 sales) - receive 4 points
5A (51-100 sales) - receive 5 points
6A (101+ sales) - receive 6 points
The 8 point system means how many points get handed out per sale.
For example, if you sold your first K8 machine for $4,890 you would make $340 (you are 1A rank and get 1 point).

I think it's the focus on recruiting people into the same scheme that makes this program a bit sketchy.
Beginners that have no idea what they are doing are encouraged to make their life look amazing to attract other people to message them. This is why there is a ton of shady marketing techniques used by recruiters (because they don't know what they are doing!)
Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse The Freedom Era in any way.
I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes.

As you can see everything is relative. And that chart is comparing alkaline water to something that around only 1% of the world owns.

What I don't like about The Freedom Era
I could list a lot here. But here are the main hidden truths that I think everyone needs to know BEFORE joining The Freedom Era.
If you still like the sound of it, then at least you have your eyes wide open...
#1 Expensive products... are they worth it?
Just look at the difference in price here...
So many distributors argue that the machines are superior for one reason or another.
But the fact is you can pick up water ionizers that can change the pH of the water from 2.5-11pH for a fraction of the cost ($4,980 Enagic machine is on the left)...
There is way too much for me to dig into every argument. But one of the big things Enagic hardcore fans argue is that Enagic has superior Oxidation Reduction Potential (ORP aka more antioxidants, therefore it's better for you).

If you continue watching that video you will find a ton more of the same, such as a study from Alkaline Water Plus...
Enagic water ionizers are nothing special compared to other models.
It's just that every Enagic distributor hasn't done the proper research themselves or ever tested another ionizer brand themselves. They are very good at regurgitating the same things they see other distributors say though...
Once you join Enagic, you are penned into what products you can promote. In a business that you truly own you are free to promote anything you like and encouraged to create your own products or services that help people.
#3 Is The Freedom Era a pyramid scheme in disguise?
I'm going to let this Reddit user from a thread about The Freedom Era have their say here (you really should read the whole thread if you plan on joining):
I cannot stand MLM being marketed as entrepreneurship, and I've actually studied marketing at a university. MLM schemes (yes they are schemes - someone sold on the idea of being at the top on the pyramid will call it a myriad of other words in order to try to frame it positively) are an insult to true entrepreneurs (people who actually invent and create new products/services/value).
MLM is nothing but a pyramid scheme with products behind it - in fact, if not for the products being exchanged between buyers and sellers - such pyramid style frameworks are technically illegal. So yes, MLM is legal. But is it ethical?
I'll let you answer that question for yourself.
#4 Shady tactics to keep people in
Ok, these are the last few minutes that you must watch from this video...

"Credit cards have no way of checking your income. So go ahead and manifest $90k coming your way and put this down as your salary."
So there are people outright encouraging other people to commit "loan application fraud".
If you get caught doing this (prob not hard as people publish this on social media!), then you can face up to $1 million in fines and 30 years in jail. And yes, real people are getting caught doing this all the time!
#5 No real interest
The final nail in the coffin for me is found on Google Trends again...
If you absolutely must go down the MLM route, there are other MLMs that simply get more attention. And these are easier to recruit for because more and more people find out about them.

Paparazzi's flagship product would have to be their necklace and earring sets for just $5!
They have so many varieties and of course they are not going to be high quality or precious metals for this price!
But they look decent and it's easy and convenient for anyone to buy exactly the type of jewelry they want!
I don't know a great deal about jewelry but apparently "lead free" and "nickel free" is rare with cheap jewelry. And even when you search for necklaces on Amazon you find it tough to find anything for a better price, as you can see below...
They even have some more "luxury" styles such as the newer Zi Collection, which cost $25 retail price. See more about these in the quick video below...
How to make money with Paparazzi Jewelry
Ah, the part you have been waiting for!
So let's not hang around...
There are 2 ways you can make money as a "Paparazzi consultant":
Sell their products and make commission
Recruit more people into the company and earn bonuses from sales they make
This is another sign that Paparazzi Jewelry is not a scam or pyramid scheme.
They do not pay you for recruiting people but only pay you commission of any sales or purchases your "downline" makes.
How much does it cost to join Paparazzi Jewelry?
There are 3 entry points to become a "Paparazzi consultant"...
You pay either $99, $299 or $499 for a range of products to start.
But this is not the only cost, as some people would lead you to believe...
Paparazzi Jewelry monthly cost
You also need to allow for the monthly costs to stay "active" as a Paparazzi consultant...
So technically there is no requirement to be a consultant.
However, this means that you cannot make any commissions or bonuses from your downline.
This means in reality you will need to sell 50PV (personal volume) points every month if you want to make money from Paparazzi Accessories.
In real monetary terms this means you need to sell $125 worth of products at retail value every month. If you cannot sell this much then you will need to purchase the products yourself.
With your 45% discount this means you need to allow for an additional monthly expense of $56.25.
So your first year expenses could be:
$99-$499
$56.25 x 12
Total cost in your first year = $774 - $1,174
This is nowhere near as much as starting a bricks and mortar business, but it obviously is more than $99!

You can get bonuses from your "downline" in loads of ways but you really don't need to know this in detail when you are starting.

The company was founded in 2013, by some people that know what they are doing in regard to "direct sales" and MLM companies...
Did you know that 50% of MLM companies disappear within the first 5 years?
It shows that Paparazzi is set to be a company that could be around for the long term seeing as they are approaching the 10-year mark.
#2 Affordable products
This is the first thing I check when I review an MLM company.
And this is a great sign that Paparazzi Jewelry is not a scam!
For $5 at retail price for a piece of jewelry I know that you'll find it hard to find a decent product for this price (my wife loves a bit of cheap jewelry and this typically sets her back $10-$20 a piece!)
The 45% discount for wholesale price just means it's even more affordable.
The good news about this is that you can confidently promote these products to people knowing they are getting good value.
#3 Sales focussed: Up to 45% commissions
Having a "sales focussed" MLM instead of a "recruitment focused" MLM is a great sign that Paparazzi Jewelry is not a scam or pyramid scheme in disguise.
Getting 45% commissions means that it's possible to make a decent profit just by selling their products.
If people like the products they will also be more likely to want to join as a consultant just to get the 45% discount!
That means you do not need to be focused on trying to recruit but rather just sharing how much you love the jewelry.
It's obviously recommended to actually try the jewelry and see if you like it yourself before diving in!
#4 Positive Paparazzi Jewelry reviews
You can find people saying good things about the company and jewelry online...
Believe me... you cannot always find that for MLM companies!
These are all great signs that Paparazzi Jewelry is not a scam.
What I don't like about Paparazzi Jewelry
So there are some concerns and red flags I have about Paparazzi Jewelry.
It's important that you are aware of these before you dive in so that you are better equipped to deal with them if they arise later...
#1 Dependent on who recruits you
This is a huge concern about any MLM company...
The person or "team" that you join with will have a huge impact on how successful you are as a consultant.
If you join with someone who understands how to use online marketing to help you sell 24/7 and is willing to teach you, then this could work really well.
In reality, you can only sell so many items of jewelry in person or at "home parties". So you will not make much money each month at $2.25 per necklace selling in person.
$57 may not sound like a lot to you, but if you are struggling to sell any (which most people will, if they only try to sell them to friends and family in person... which most people do!) then it adds up over the course of a year, especially on top of the starting fee you already paid.
It's way better than a normal business but there are better options that exist, which you can build the business over time with lower overheads.
After reading that review, it did make me go back and check to see if I could find anything similar for a better price online.
I did find this...
So yes you can find some cheaper alternatives if you buy in bulk. But you don't really get to choose what you want... and who needs 12 necklaces?
98.23% of consultants make under $900 a month on average!
So the chances of you making any good money from this is very small!
The only real way you can make good money from Paparazzi is if you used online marketing.
But...
#4 No online marketing training
There is no "real" online marketing training provided.
But if you want to make this a "passive income" and attract visitors to your website every month, there is no training inside Paparazzi to help you do this.
In 2018, I had no idea how websites could get visitors to them every month.
But now I understand how to do it, it keeps growing every month like this...
These are not just any random visitors either, but people that I help to solve problems for.
#5 Downward trend
This is the second thing I look at for any MLM company.
You probably know that the most successful MLM consultants are those that "get in early" whilst the momentum is still moving up.
This is because these people can help the company grow and there won't be many people that have already joined it.
However, as you can see from Google Trends, Paparazzi Jewelry is on a downward trend.
It's been through its "early momentum phase" like other MLMs such as Farmasi are going through now.

Who is Amare Global’s CEO?
Hiep Tran is Amare Global’s CEO.
I couldn’t find any information on Hiep in having any MLM experience, but he was the co-founder of a company in 2008 called Meritus.
It was quite a big card payment business that got acquired by Optimal payments in 2014.
Tran worked very long hours and managed to help build the business, but it took a toll on his health, and subsequently he resigned in 2016.
It’s a big reason why his focus is now on Amare Global, which helps with mental wellness.
But he is not the only one running the show…
There is a whole team of “executives” at the company. One person that features a lot in the promotional videos and the research of the products is Shawn Talbott.

Here’s an interesting fact about MLM companies:
They “obfuscate” (make something deliberately more difficult to understand) their compensation plans to make them seem really complicated.
It’s hard to say exactly why they do this but some people argue it’s to hide the fact that you make most of your money by recruiting people into the company.
All you need to know about Amare Global’s compensation plan is:
The 25% commission comes from the 25% discounted price you get from their products. E.g. you get $25 commission from selling a $100 product.
You get bonuses and commission from your “downlines” making sales.
Here’s an example of the “me and 3” bonus commission:
If you have recruited 3 people and they continue to make their 100 PV sales each month you get a bonus.
If they sell additional products each you can get a larger bonus.

#1 Still Relatively New and In The Momentum Phase
This is the biggest reason that Amare Global is potentially an interesting opportunity right now.
The company started in 2016 and as you can see in the chart below, the trend is still rising for the number of people searching for Amare Global on Google.
It has stopped rising so steeply but it is possible to get into the company during the momentum phase when people are still interested in it.
#2 Commissions Of 25% Isn’t Bad For MLM’s
You receive a 25% commission from your sales of the products as this is the discount you receive from the company as a Wellness partner.
As you can see above, it is possible to charge your own price as long as the price is above the wholesale price (the price you would pay for the products).
#3 Good Reviews Of Amare Global’s Products
It’s clear that some people really like the products.
Obviously you have to take all Facebook reviews with a pinch of salt but there are a number of different sources that suggest they like the products.

Here are some of the bad parts of Amare Global that you should be aware of before jumping into the business opportunity…
#1 Expensive Products That Are Hard To Sell
This is the number one reason you should be wary of the company.
Amare’s Probiotics, Prebiotics and Phytobiotics cost $66.95
Well-Rated Probiotics and Prebiotics cost $30.08 on Amazon
It’s possible to find very similar products for a fraction of the cost.
Yes, Talbott makes the Brain-Gut-Axis “science” sound like they have a unique selling point. But in reality, people want to receive these types of products at the most affordable price.
#2 MLM’s Have An Emphasis On Recruitment
The elephant in the room!
To make good money from this MLM opportunity you will HAVE to recruit more people into the company.
There are different ways to do this, but when you start out you won’t have any proof the business model works.
Yet, you’ll still need to convince people it’s the best opportunity since sliced bread if you want to make serious money.
Some people are great at selling and love this side of it.
However, many people that become a partner are not aware how much of this they will need to do to make good money.
#3 Shawn Talbott’s Shady History & Lawsuit
The FTC shows that Shawn was caught up in a $4.5 million lawsuit for a previous MLM company (Cortislim).
Shawn and two other guys were alleged to have made some exaggerated claims about their products to try and sell more in “infomercials”.
With this information, re-watch the video of Shawn at the top of this page and see if this could be a repeating pattern.
It doesn’t have an impact on Amare Global, but it is something to be aware of.

#4 The Truth About MLM’s: Only 1% Make Money
Another report from the FTC shows quite a shocking stat.
99% of MLM recruits lose money!
As mentioned earlier there are some people that are just great at selling.
They could probably sell anything even if they don’t have experience or proof. However, without the right training or understanding selling, the majority of people hate doing it. And are typically pretty bad at it!
This is the reason why a tiny per cent of MLM recruits make jaw-dropping money. And the rest end up losing money.
#5 Crowded Market
Amare Global is not the only health and wellness MLM company. Here are a few others I have reviewed to give you an example:
Many of them sell similar products and you can see that some of them are much more affordable (check out Farmasi if you’re interested in these).
#6 Ongoing Costs (100 PV)
Yes, the $69.95 annual price tag makes it seem like Amare Global is pretty low cost to get involved with.
You may even be thinking… it may be worth a punt for that money.
However, it’s not the total cost you will need to keep in mind.
You need to sell 100 PV every month to stay active with the company.
I have honestly tried to find out how much that translates to in real terms. But the compensation plan, products sales page and most other reviews seem to hide (or just make it unclear) how much PV you get from selling each product.
Judging by other MLM companies you will need to sell around $100-$150 of products every month just to stay active.
So unless you make these sales guess who needs to pay for them to stay active?
Yep… you will!
So particularly at the start, you are likely going to need an extra $100+ every month (but don’t worry they set up a direct debit for you so you never forget!)
It’s a legit company and the products seem pretty good.
However, with the monthly costs to stay active and the fact that you can find very similar products for a fraction of the cost, I don’t think this is an opportunity worth starting.
If you had a bunch of friends that were looking for an opportunity like this and love their “vitamins and nutrition” then you could quickly get a team set up around you.
However, if you’re like me, you probably don’t want to abuse your relationships and to sell to your friends and family about some “great opportunity”.
Therefore, I only see this as a good opportunity for people that know a lot about nutrition and are good salespeople.
Is There An Alternative?
It wasn’t that long ago that I was still trying to figure out how it’s possible for people to make money online.
I wanted to find a passive income system that ticked a few boxes:
I could work on part-time when I wanted (I was still in a full-time job)
Therefore I needed it to not cost a fortune to start and maintain
Didn’t need me to sell stuff to my friends and family

Wealthy Affiliate has the training, tools and community to help people make money online with affiliate marketing. It is not a “get rich quick and easy” affiliate program. It teaches people how to create content that can be found on search engines to get free traffic every month.

My First Online Sale…
Man, I remember the day that I made my first bit of money online.
It’s such a weird feeling that is super hard to explain.
I was in freezing England after the Christmas break. We were out at dinner with my parents before we were heading back to Qatar when I got this buzz on my phone.

I recently had an email from them saying I had about a week left on my account to hit the required 3 affiliate marketing sales in your first 180 days.
So I didn’t think much of it as I’d hardly used any affiliate links from Amazon on my website.
Then I clicked it and…

This may sound weird but this was possibly the greatest $1.03 I have ever or will ever earn.
Why? Because it was passive income.

2022 update…
It’s actually quite crazy how much I have learnt about affiliate marketing and online businesses since September 2018. I’ve spoken to dozens of 6 figure online entrepreneurs on my podcast (Make Time Online), who share how they started and their best tips.

It seriously is completely free to try out and no credit card details are required.
This is one of the main reasons why there are over 2 million people that have joined as a member (side note- there is nowhere near 2 million people still active inside the community- some people just join for free than do nothing).

Do I need to become a premium member?
My short and honest answer to this is…
Yes, if you want to make money.
If you are totally new to online marketing then check out the free membership so that you can get a feel for if this is something that suits you or not.
You will learn a ton just from the free training, but it takes time and real work to see results. You simply won’t be able to learn everything in one month.
Are there additional costs?
No.
Nada.
Zilch.
This is by far the best thing about Wealthy Affiliate compared to anything else I have seen.
Sure there are other great affiliate marketing training platforms out there but every single one of them requires you to spend more money. And usually you don’t know about this up front.
Some additional costs that other affiliate programs will recommend are:
Website hosting ($70+ a year for a terrible host- good hosting can cost $30 a month alone for one website… WA gives you 10 high quality hosted sites with 24/7 support)
Email autoresponder ($15+ a month… WA’s training shows you how to start making money without using email marketing)
Keyword research tool ($10-$99 a month… WA provides Jaaxy in the membership)
Clickfunnels or a "funnel builder" ($97 a month… totally unnecessary for most people starting, WA never recommends these)
Upsells for more training (it is impossible to pay more than $49 per month for WA. That price includes everything)

The "make money online" niche is so competitive (there are tons of people who write Wealthy Affiliate reviews, promote WA or other courses that are similar and they dominate the search engines).
Why would anyone trust you when you haven’t got any proof yourself?
It is much easier to get traffic from Google in a smaller niche than the “make money online” one to start with.
So you’re probably wondering...
Can you make money with Wealthy Affiliate?
Here is something that most affiliates won’t tell you...
It is very unlikely you will ever make good money directly from Wealthy Affiliate. There are literally millions of people that know about it and a ton of them try to promote Wealthy Affiliate. The odds are not in your favour here… believe me!

So is there any point in using Wealthy Affiliate then?
Well a better question to ask would be...
Can you earn money from affiliate marketing using the Wealthy Affiliate training and with help from the Wealthy Affiliate community?
Yes… the Wealthy Affiliate success stories above are proof that you can.
It’s not easy and affiliate marketing is a competitive industry.
But everything you need to succeed is within the platform. Especially if you can be persistent and think of this as a long term online business model. Be open to the different income streams possible from creating websites, and the options are endless.
Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or legit?
Wealthy Affiliate is completely legit and not a scam.
The training teaches people how to write content to be found on search engines and how to use affiliate marketing to make money from this.
However, some affiliates promote Wealthy Affiliate as a get rich quick scheme… which it’s NOT!
This is a big reason why some people call Wealthy Affiliate a scam.
People get fed up after a few months if they haven’t made any money and point the finger. After all, some online newbie promised them they could make serious dollar quickly (remember, it took me 3 months of working weekends and evenings to even see my first dollar! #replacenetflix)
Here’s another common thing I hear about the "Wealthy Affiliate scam"...
“Wealthy Affiliate members call everything else under the sun a scam to claim that Wealthy Affiliate is the only thing that works.”
Here is what the training actually teaches...
The key with all of your reviews is to offer your readers a comprehensive and accurate experience. It is OK to offer your opinion, but it is important that you do not falsify statements within your actual reviews.
Are there people that abuse this and end up calling tons of things a scam?
Sure!
It’s people’s interpretation of the training that has created this. So is Wealthy Affiliate a scam?
You can be the judge of that yourself.
Is Wealthy Affiliate a pyramid scheme? Is it MLM?
Wealthy Affiliate is not a pyramid scheme or MLM program.
It is possible for members to earn money promoting any products or services with the help from Wealthy Affiliate’s tools and training.
The confusion around this comes because it’s possible for members to earn affiliate commission from promoting Wealthy Affiliate.
First of all let’s get this straight…
What’s a pyramid scheme?
A company that promises members payment for recruiting more people into the company rather than offering a service or product.
As you’ve already seen, Wealthy Affiliate offers some crucial online business services and products such as:
Website hosting (every decent website you have ever been on pays for hosting)
Jaaxy- the Keyword research tool (most affiliate marketers will pay for a tool like this)
Training on how to create your own website to promote anything you want (there are tons of other courses that provide only the training)
BUT…
You can earn money by “recruiting” (aka being an affiliate for) Wealthy Affiliate. This is where the confusion comes from as some people think this is the ONLY way to make money from Wealthy Affiliate due to the thousands of WA reviews out there!
It’s not a Multi-Level-Marketing company either as affiliates don’t recruit a “downline”.
For example, if you were to join Wealthy Affiliate from a link on this page and become a premium member eventually, I would earn a commission. But if you then tell a friend about it who joins from your link, you would get a commission and I wouldn’t get a commission or bonus from that.
Simply put…
It’s possible to use affiliate marketing to earn money from multiple income streams. Whereas it’s only possible to make money from MLMs by selling one company's products or recruiting more people into the company.

It’s safe to say that Wealthy Affiliate is a bit like marmite.

Your money!
Online marketing/ affiliate marketing and “making money online” has developed a bad reputation. This is due to the amount of false advertising and “get rich easy” schemes out there.
They know people want to make money.
They know people want to do it quickly.
And they know people don’t want to work hard for it.
So they claim you can do that if you just “pay $497, right now!”
Getting started means you get to actually take action quicker and it’s by taking action that you will actually learn what you do and don’t need to do.

They do not recommend “use one of the extra amazing keyword research tools for another $99 a month, ClickFunnels for $97 a month... oh and get this hosting for $15 a month” like pretty much every other training I’ve seen.
The price you see is the price for EVERYTHING you need to build your business...

Website hosting (every site needs this- you can host 10 sites at WA)
24/7 support from the site support and WA community
Normally, just figuring out which website hosting to use and what this even means can take a couple of days to figure out when you are starting!
With Wealthy Affiliate it’s all there in one easy to access place.
4. Hosting for 10 websites
Wealthy Affiliate made a huge update to their hosting in early 2020.
Kyle and Carson pumped millions of dollars into improving this and I have to say it’s made a pretty big improvement to website load times.
If you read a review at the start of 2020 or before you may even see “members have slow affiliate sites” as a negative of Wealthy Affiliate.
Here’s mine (under 2 seconds is very quick!)…
If this doesn’t make sense right now all you need to know is that if your website loads fast, people will be more likely to wait for your site to load. This means they stick around more and don’t “bounce” off the page.
Google recognises this and boosts fast websites in their rankings (meaning more visitors to your site, aka traffic, which means more money from affiliate links... yada yada yada).
There are a lot of terrible website hosting sites out there with terrible support and slow loading sites. They often look super cheap up front (i.e. start from $2.95 a month) to entice people in, but you have to lock into a 3 year deal to get this and pay extra for email addresses and site security etc...
*cough* Bluehost *cough*
Many beginners buy all of this thinking they are saving money then give up with their idea just 2 months later and $250 out of pocket!
5. Weekly live webinars
Jay Neil is Wealthy Affiliate’s lead Live trainer.
He hosts a live webinar every week on a Saturday for 60-90 minutes.
You can jump on to the live chat with other members during the training or watch it on catch up if you miss it (including all the previous webinars). Some of the previous trainings include:

6. The WA community
I knew nobody that "did online marketing" before I joined WA.
I now have dozens of people I personally know. I can message them at any time of the day to find out a whole range of stuff.
There will be times when you have a weird question that pops into your head. And that’s where the WA community really comes into its own!
2 million people have joined WA, which means you can get answers to your questions almost immediately.
Write a question anywhere in a comment thread and tick the “ask community for help” to get something answered.
If you have a small issue you can hop on the 24/7 live chat.
If you join Wealthy Affiliate with this link and don’t get the answer you want, I will see your question and help you. Even if I don’t know the answer I will 100% know someone that does.
7. Continually updated
WA has already changed so much since it first started.
As I said, I’ve seen a ton of reviews about it. So I really understand there are some people that look from the outside in, nit pick and call it out for the flaws (see the complaint section for more).
But like I already mentioned Kyle and Carson have just made a huge update to the website hosting servers. And since I joined at the end of 2018 they have added a brand new feature to find affiliate programs because people requested this.
They really listen and are active inside the WA community every day.
2022 update: There has also been a huge Wealthy Affiliate re-structure. A ton of new training, layout and support is now on offer at Wealthy Affiliate.
Wealthy Affiliate cons & complaints
8. No refunds
Wealthy Affiliate makes this very clear and does not hide this.
The Wealthy Affiliate Premium Membership and Paid Services are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis (as per the option you have chosen when you purchased Services) and are non-refundable for the subscription period they are purchased for.
The reason is because there is a free starter account and you can try the full premium membership for $19 for your first month.
It then costs $49 per month.
This gives you so much time to see if the training and platform suits you or not before deciding to upgrade to an annual plan or continuing further.
You can cancel anytime and if you don’t put your card details in there, you’ll never be charged a penny.
Just make sure that if you plan on cancelling your membership that you give yourself plenty of time to get your website transferred off to another hosting server. Site Support will help you to do this efficiently, but once you are no longer a paying member it's much harder to get support.
9. Outdated training
I joined at the end of 2018 and I must say this is something I noticed then! There are some training sessions that were no longer relevant, for example...
Google+ doesn’t exist any more. But one of the training modules still exists for it!!
Many people worry that a lot changes online and the best “new” practices change. However, some of the videos were recorded as early as 2014…
It is true that what worked a few years ago in affiliate marketing doesn’t always work as well today.
But everything that is taught within Wealthy Affiliate are long term and proven strategies. Nothing is a short term fix or jumping on the newest hot trend that may disappear like Tik Tok... it shows you how to write quality content and get your site ranked on Google.
The core training and philosophy behind how to build an online business always lasts:
Write really helpful content that helps people
Wealthy Affiliate teaches completely white hat affiliate marketing techniques. Many other affiliate marketing courses often teach grey/ black hat "link building strategies" that result in your site getting penalised from Google. WA's motto is that if you write the best content that exists, your stuff will rank eventually and pick up "organic backlinks" over time.
The live training every week goes into more detail and depth on current and specific tactics and strategies. The Core training and Wealthy Affiliate course is really to help you get up and running with good foundations.
2022 Update: Kyle and Carson announced that Wealthy Affiliate’s core training will be totally revamped and updated by the “end of summer 2020”. You can read Kyle’s full post here about these changes.
As you can see WA is always changing for the better and Kyle and Carson are still active, present and looking for ways to improve...
10. Not enough information about niche selection
I’ve heard a few people complain about this one.
The core training doesn’t really go into much detail about how to do competition analysis.
There’s a lot of things you can do to find if your niche idea could work such as:
Keyword research (find high traffic, low competition keywords)
Competitor analysis
Look for appropriate high ticket affiliate products to promote
Buy an “aged domain”
Etc. etc.
If I were starting a new site now, I would do this.
But when I started, I had no idea what half of those words meant!
Wealthy Affiliate doesn’t make it overwhelming to get a site up and running. The truth is that your first website probably won’t be your best anyway!
Mine certainly wasn’t!!
A website's direction can change... a lot!
Spending a couple of months getting overwhelmed with what niche to choose before you start is a great way to end up doing nothing. If I had to do this at the start I probably would have given up as it would seem like too much!
There’s a lot to be said for jumping in the trenches and learning things as you go.
Learn something.
Take action.
Learn a bit more.
Take action.
That’s what you’ll get from WA until you understand everything you need to create a profitable website.
Here’s the honest truth though...
If you are looking for thorough analytical niche selection training, Wealthy Affiliate probably isn’t for you. I have an alternative recommendation at the bottom of this Wealthy Affiliate review that may just float your boat!
But if you’re someone looking to take action, learn things as you do it and adapt then it may be a good fit.
Hey, doesn’t that sound similar to what all entrepreneurs need to do? And yes, if you are looking to create a profitable website, blog, or online business, you are an entrepreneur!
11. Irrelevant ranking system
Ah the “spambassadors”!
This is one part of Wealthy Affiliate that I’m not a fan of.
The ranking system inside WA is pretty much pointless and is based on how much people post blogs in there or comment with others.
Remember there are over 2 million people that have created an account with WA. It’s great that there are so many full time online business owners in there and it’s a great way to connect with people that you can learn from. But it also means there are people in there that are beginners that may not always offer the best advice.
... yet they could be ranked in the top 25 Wealthy Affiliate members because they comment on stuff all the time. Or write blog posts about the weather or anything on their mind!
When you ask a question in the WA community just be sure to cross check your answers.
If more than one person says the same thing then it will probably be good advice!
12. Too much emphasis on promoting Wealthy Affiliate
Here is what Wealthy Affiliate recommends you do to start…
The OEC route shows you how to create a niche website in anything you want it to be.
However, this is the wording that annoys some people (and to be honest I can see why)…
If you are REALLY STUCK at this point and you cannot decide on a niche, perhaps you may be interested in the make money/affiliate marketing niche. If you don't have a niche at this point, this will be your niche and we have an Affiliate Bootcamp dedicated to those that are interested in promoting Wealthy Affiliate.
Guess what? A lot of people get really stuck with choosing a niche!
But here’s my advice again…
Do not start with the Bootcamp route!
It’s really competitive because, like I say, there are tons of people that are “really stuck” on choosing a niche.
And if you have no proof of getting your website ranked on Google or making money using the training then it’s a really hard sell!
Top tip- the more specific your niche is, the easier it will be to rank on Google and start seeing results.
You can choose a broader domain name i.e. www.weightloss.com so you can expand eventually to tons of weight loss topics. But focus on only writing about one thing for your first 30 posts or so i.e. running for over 50’s and reviewing running shoes, equipment and clothes etc.
13. Information overload
There is a lot going on inside Wealthy Affiliate with the live chat, blog posts, individuals training’s etc.
If you’re not careful you will find yourself jumping around and trying to take on too much at once.
The training exists for a reason.
Trust it and follow it!

Bottom line: Is Wealthy Affiliate worth the money?

OK, but you won’t like it.
Here it is...
It depends.
I told you that you won’t like it!
I hate cop out answers so here's what I mean... it’s not worth the money if you are this person:
Jumps on shiny objects every 2 months
Gives up as soon as there is a problem
Work too many jobs, have 5 kids and up to your eyeballs in debt
Wants to become “financially free” next month (stop kidding yourself if this is your first gig online)
Want a “done for you system” to “make it rain” (again this doesn’t exist… but if you ever find it, hook me up!)
If you can honestly say you are willing to put in 10+ hours a week of work for the next year and are serious about starting an affiliate marketing online business, then yes Wealthy Affiliate is worth the money.
That is exactly how I started at the end of 2018.
And to be honest if I had taken another of the affiliate marketing courses, I probably would have thrown in the towel sooner.
Other training out there requires you to spend a lot more money up front and can be “too technical” for beginners. When I started I wasn’t sure what I was getting into and by taking action straight away, I found out what I enjoyed and built on my knowledge and improved my skills over time.
Alternatives
Like I mentioned earlier, there are other affiliate marketing courses out there that are legitimate. I want you to have all the options and make an informed decision that is right for you…
The Authority Site System: $997 (you can get it for $599 through the webinar below)
If you love stats, analytics and really want to take a very precise business approach to building an “authority site” (writing content to get ranked on Google and using affiliate marketing) then this may be the one for you.
The niche analysis is very detailed as they argue it's the most important stage to success for your site.
Positives
Analytical people seem to love these guys training
A lot of detail into backlinking methods and techie ways to create an online business
Negatives
You will need to allow additional costs for hosting ($15+ a month) and Ahrefs (a keyword research tool for $99 a month) & even potentially outsourcing content.
Advises some pretty techie stuff (not great for newbies)- this is for people serious about creating an affiliate "authority site"
Project 24: $449 for 1 year and $199 per year after + web hosting
I have not reviewed this course yet as I want to do it justice and buy the course first- a project (pun intended) for next year!
Summary
The focus is on creating a blog in a niche and using high quality content to get backlinks over time. This approach is very similar to WA’s training methods!
Positives
It does not recommend any other tools other than hosting. They actually don’t even recommend keyword research tools.
Very white hat approach to blogging
Negatives
No other tools provided- You’ll need to allow the cost of website hosting (at least $100 a year for a semi-decent host)
Commission Hero: $997 + upsells + tools needed = $7,429 for one year
If you want to get into using Facebook ads then this is one of the better ones I’ve seen for an affiliate marketing course.
The focus is on using Facebook ad campaigns to get “leads” quickly to your Clickbank sales funnel. If you can make an ad campaign “profitable” then it’s possible to scale quickly and throw more money into ads to make more money.
Positives
Some people claim to have gotten decent results
Negatives
Ads need tweaking, it’s possible to lose access to your Facebook account
Clickbank products generally suck
You need to have spare cash to throw at this one and be prepared to lose a lot of money before turning a profit.

Most MLM companies don’t go past their 5th year.
But this isn’t the case with My Daily Choice because they are now operating for more than 6 years since they were founded back in 2014.
There’s a good chance this company is going to stay for years and won’t shut down any time soon.
What I don't like about My Daily Choice
Here are some of the downsides of My Daily Choice you should take notice of...
#1 Expensive products
My Daily Choice sells overpriced health and wellness products. Just take a look at some of the other similar brands:
As you can see, they are way cheaper compared to My Daily Choice’s products. And they also have positive reviews and high ratings.
This means that there’s a good chance people will choose them over My Daily Choice.
#2 Saturated market
The health and wellness and CBD market is already very saturated.
In fact, the health niche is the one with the most number of companies.
This means you’ll have a lot of competitors out there, which also means you’re going to have a hard time selling your products, knowing that there are loads of options out there in the market.
#3 Hidden monthly expenses
Members need to sell $70 worth of products every month, which is the 70 PV monthly quota.
If you can’t do this, then you just have to buy the products yourself.
A fact that MLM companies don’t want members to know is that they are the biggest customer base because members just keep buying their products hoping they can earn big time soon.
#4 Is My Daily Choice a pyramid scheme in disguise?
Members needing to spend $70 monthly to stay active is a clear sign of a pyramid scheme in disguise.

These are illegal in almost every country because it is impossible for every member to make money inside a company structure like this.

Xyngular, like most MLMs, does offer legit products though.
But it is actually very hard for the distributors to cover their own expenses, let alone make any decent money, inside the company... unless they recruit a big "downline". And that, my friend, is a "pyramid scheme in disguise".

Success is hard to find with Xyngular
In fact, success is rare in any MLM company.
Research suggests that between 73% and 99% of all MLM representatives lose money!
Xyngular has a 2018 income disclosure that shares how much their members made for the year (before expenses).
You can see in this disclosure that at least 85% of members made less than $832 for the year. When you account for the fact that members will need to allow costs for at least $2,000 a year to receive all the bonuses it's safe to come to say...
Therefore, at least 85% of Xyngular members lose money.

However, the company saves a lot of money on advertising and marketing because they get everyday people to help promote the products.

In theory, it's like a win-win!
Individuals hunt for tools and strategies to help them lose weight faster, given the increasing prevalence of obesity and the concurrent acceleration of work and technological progress.

Not the most glowing reviews to start with then, but there aren't many people reviewing them on Amazon (technically products are not allowed to be sold here though)! But don't worry, I do more digging later in this review.

Can you make money with Xyngular MLM?
Just by looking at the income disclosure you can see that it is very hard to make money with Xyngular. Only 1 in 166 members make over $27k a year.
And these members will be more like a "sales manager" than "being their own boss".
Typically the most successful MLM members are very active on social media and great at selling the dream of working from home to friends, family and new people they make Facebook friends with.
But they don't stop there... they hold regular "meetings" (via Zoom or Skype) to encourage their "team" to get out there and make more sales because it will help them "be in control of their life"... aka make the upline more money!
It is possible, but don't expect to put in part time work and make $500+ a month.
How to make money with Xyngular MLM
Like most MLMs there are 2 ways you can make money from Xyngular:

Recruit people to sell Xyngular products for additional bonuses
This is how MLMs avoid being shut down by the FTC...
They do not pay bonuses for people directly recruiting others into the company.
They just pay them tons of weird bonuses that nobody really understands for any sales their "downline" makes...
How much does it cost to join Xyngular?
It costs $14.95 to join Xyngular.
Then you will be encouraged to buy a "transformation kit" for $199 to $549.
These kits come with a range of products and at a discounted price. And if you are serious about making money from Xyngular, you should probably use the products yourself so that you can "sell from experience" (but don't be pressured into buying something that you don't want!)
However, the costs do not stop there amigo...
Xyngular monthly cost
Most people have absolutely no idea what "PV" or "volume requirements" means...
In simple English it means that if you don't want to have your account suspended or closed you need to sell 30PV every month. That is around $40 worth of Xyngular products.
If you want to receive all the bonuses available you actually need to sell 120 PV a month.
That means you need to sell around $150 worth of products EVERY month. If you don't you will be encouraged to buy the products yourself so that your account doesn't get closed down (but really your sponsor is encouraging you to keep buying so they make more commission!)
That means you need to allow the following expenses for your first year:

$150 x 12
Total cost for 1 year = $2,013.95- $2,363.95
And this is before you add on any extra training, marketing or shipping & packaging costs.

As you can probably already tell, Xyngular uses a compensation plan that is harder to understand than solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded. They use complicated terms and acronyms like PV, QV, XV, R2D2 etc.
So I will do my best to keep this simple.

Retail profits (10-25% commission)
Rapid rewards program (sign up new customers or recruits with 360 PV)
Quick start bonus ($100 for someone joining with 120PV+ & enrolling 4 people with 120PV in their first order)

Sales pools (get a share of 1% of company global volume if you are a certain rank, see table below)
Leadership bonus (bonuses if you help your team get promoted)

If you are confused after reading that or trying to work out that table... DO NOT WORRY!
It really doesn't matter as all it's doing is distracting you from the fact that there's only 2 things you can actually do to make money:

#1 Expensive products

Highly rated Amazon supplement and meal replacement = $1.46 a day
Now, I know you're probably thinking "surely Xyngular products are better". But the long term nutrition and health benefits from those 2 Amazon products are just as good (if not better) than any similar MLM I have reviewed.
Sure you may get some quick weight loss results from throwing a ton of "hunger suppressant" pills into your body.
However, there's even a lot of research that claims people shouldn't be wasting their money with supplements anyway.
So who is buying this overpriced stuff?...
#2 Hidden monthly expenses
Xyngular's BIGGEST customer is actually their "distributors"...
Just remember they need 120 PV every month to receive all the benefits on offer at Xyngular. That means they need to sell $150+ every month.
That is not easy!
Once they realise how hard it is to convince their best friends to buy this insanely overpriced stuff, they often try to save face by buying the products themselves so they have the chance to prove others wrong and "be their own boss".
The truth is they just become Xyngular's favourite and most loyal consumers.

But the costs do not end there.
The second requirement you need to meet to stay "active" as an ambassador is hitting the required monthly sales quota PV (personal volume)
When you start this will be 28 PV per month and this increases as you "rank up".
1 PV equals around $1 so you need to account for an extra $28 per month.
Yes you can sell this to offset the cost, but so many people have to stump this cost up themselves when they start as they struggle to sell anything!

The products clearly have a good reputation and it seems like they have literally changed people's lives.
This really is amazing and the founders should be super proud of what they've produced.
However... this still doesn't make it a good business opportunity for YOU!
#2 Inexpensive to start
It's another great thing about most MLM programs.
They are pretty low cost to start...
$54.98 is all you NEED to spend to start making money from the company.
But in reality if this is your first business venture, you won't make a penny by only spending that amount and without more education or support.
This leads us onto...
What I don't like about Kannaway MLM
I actually think the idea behind Kannaway MLM is great.
But there are a lot of hidden truths about the business opportunity, which you may not be aware of.
Everyone should know this before they decide to join the program...
#1 Expensive products
This is the first thing I check out when I'm looking into MLM programs.
The reason for this is because it usually gives me a sign that the program is operating as a pyramid scheme in disguise.
This is especially the case when there is a "sales quota" to reach each month like Kannaway has.
Just think about it... why would a customer buy Kannaway products if they could get the same thing for half the price elsewhere? Not many people would (apart from die hard fans). That is the first sign that the "ambassadors" will be encouraged to recruit people to join the company, rather than sell the products.
Kannaway hemp CBD oil = $46.75 per fl oz
Highly rated hemp CBD oil on Amazon = $2-$20 per fl oz
Unfortunately Kannaway is like many other MLM's and offers products that you can pick up for a fraction of the price elsewhere. It's over 150% more expensive than similar products with high ratings on Amazon.
Now I know what you're thinking...
But it "probably is a bit different" especially with something like CBD oil for your health and potentially a cancer cure!
Well check this out...
Medical Marijuana purchased Kannaway in 2015.
They show the common brand names of "RSHO-Gold" sold by HempMeds and "Pure-Gold" sold by Kannaway are EXACTLY the same thing.
Yet Kannaway still costs 27% more ($50 more for the same thing)!
If this isn't a suspicious sign then I'm not sure what is!
#2 It has signs of being a pyramid scheme in disguise
OK so as I briefly explained in the previous concern, Kannaway has signs of acting like a pyramid in disguise due to the excessively high prices and "sales quota" requirements.
But when you dig in, it gets even worse.
Here are some more signs that Kannaway is recruitment focused and the only way ambassadors make good money is by recruiting (not selling the products):

The "deeper your downline" the better your commission (encouraging you to focus on recruiting)
You need to recruit quickly to receive any fastrack bonuses
The whole compensation plan is totally recruitment focused.
So much so that it doesn't ever make it clear what your commissions will be when you sell the products.
I worked out the commission are somewhere between 0-30% but it seems more like you make around $15 per sale no matter what they spend... like I say it's confusing but the best MLM companies are products focused.
#3 Lack of control
You won't really own a business at all by joining Kannaway. Here are some reasons why:
You'll be reliant on the people you recruit (and who recruited you)
You have no say over your website (it's just a replica and you won't be able to get free traffic to it from Google)
You can't control the product prices or what happens to them
Kannaway can suspend you at any time, without giving you a real reason (the most common is if you don't hit your sales quota)
This is a huge issue if you ever end up relying on this as your full time income.
#4 Poor support and complaints
I want to start by saying there really are a lot of positive reviews and comments about the products.
I really think they have something good going here from what people say (but you can pick up the same thing for much cheaper!)
However, there are so many complaints that I came across online it's not even funny!
The most common types were to do with customer support like these...
But some of the more concerning ones were about it ruining relationships with family and friends... like this...
And I think Donna sums up the company brilliantly...
It's always a worry when any company gets a lot of complaints but some of these were so detailed it was clear that Kannaway has upset a lot of people over the years.
#5 Losing popularity
So CBD oil and the legalisation of Marijuana in certain places is still quite a big topic.
However, when you check Google to see how many people are searching for Kannaway, the results don't look so good.
It's already had its initial "boom" which many MLM companies tend to do in the early days in 2014. But since 2018 the searches have been slowly declining every month.
When you compare this to companies that are still in the early momentum phase such as Farmasi, you can see that Kannaway is like betting on a dead horse.

In English, that means that they reject 60% of applicants on the coaching call.
However, if I were a betting man, I'd put money on you being a good fit if you get on a call!... if you catch my drift?!

I don't doubt that there is some decent information inside these 5 modules. However, something to be aware of is that this "launch program" will only give you an overview of how things work.
To really get the most from Elite CEOs you will need to join the coaching program.

Elite CEOs cost to join
It costs $37 to join Elite CEOs Launch Program. This is really just a funnel to sell the premium coaching program. And according to reviews from previous clients it costs over $10,000 to join the 1-1 coaching program.
On the Elite CEOs website, they didn't mention how the coaching course cost.
But I've become a research ninja in recent years and will show you where to find this out soon.
First of all, how much will you need to spend each month to make this course work?...
Elite CEOs monthly cost
It will cost at least $240 a month on additional tools just to implement the training inside Elite CEOs. It's also possible to pay for the coaching membership over a few months. The longer it takes you to pay, the more money you can expect to pay... even as much as $18,000!
Some of the costs to be aware of are:
ClickFunnels (at least $97 a month)
Email autoresponder i.e. Aweber (at least $15 a month)
Tracking software i.e. ClickMagick (at least $27 a month)
Facebook ads/ YouTube ads (at least $100 a month, potentially a lot more)

Elite CEOs has been around for almost 2 years, yet it's still very hard to find reviews about the program apart from on their own sales pages. And let's face it... you gotta take those with a pinch of salt!
Here's a review on TrustPilot that may explain why...
I was finally contacted by Tanner Chidester immediately after posting this review, with a story about the wrong email being used. I provided all account details necessary to access my account/purchase at the time of the original request (Name, Program, email, date of purchase etc.)
Tanner informed me that in order to receive my refund I FIRST need to remove this review. For the record, a refund and a request for removal would have done the trick 😉
Seems like a strange tactic to use for a reputable business, but that’s probably What has worked with poor reviews in the past.
That review actually goes into more detail, and the response from Elite CEOs does them no favours, claiming they accessed more than 25% of the course so a refund wasn't possible (weird!)... I'll let you check that out if you want though.
But by checking places like BBB for TannerFit, Facebook and TrustPilot we can get an idea of what people really think.

No refunds
Very expensive and not worth the money
You're often told it's your fault if you can't make it work
I'd expect this for a $900 program but $18,000!?!? This is a total scam. They told me that with their help I could easily make back my investment in a month. That couldn't be further from the truth!!!
One of the coaches literally told me that if she thought my question was stupid, she won't respond. I couldn't believe it. I try to tell them how I am struggling and all they can say is "you have limiting beliefs. " smfh.
Is Elite CEOs a scam?
Technically no, Elite CEOs is not a scam.
It is just a coaching business...
It will provide you with the information on how to automate and scale a business selling high ticket items to clients using paid advertising.
However, it does make some pretty bold claims... such as make over $10,000 this month.
This is what leads some people to call the program out as a scam.
Elite CEO surely does have a number of strengths. Here are some of the best ones you can get from them...
#1 Tanner has proven experience scaling an online business
Chidester has proven he has made decent money. Just check this photo out...
This shows that he has made over $10,000,000 from an online business using ClickFunnels to help.
You're going to be learning from someone that actually knows what he's doing.
#2 He is obviously not bad at making ads - they're everywhere!
If you've seen one of Tanner's ads, then you've probably seen tons of his ads.
This is because he understands the power of "retargeting traffic" i.e. sending ads to someone that has already seen him somewhere online.

#3 Legit systems to scale a business
ClickFunnels has helped to make a ton of people pretty wealthy.
It's expensive, a bit laggy and there are way better tools and software out there that you can use for a fraction of the price (such as a Thrive membership).
But what it does do is help people realise the power of funnels.
Online funnels are a great way to turn a small business into a huge thriving one. And they are totally legit!
#4 Real testimonials
There are a ton of video testimonials from all kinds of people, such as this one...
It's possible for people to pay actors to do this, but the sheer volume of them that exist on the sales pages shows that something definitely is working here.

And then here are the not so good things about this course that you should be wary of...
#1 It's a sales funnel into the expensive 1-1 mentorship
The first and biggest disadvantage from all this is that the cost is very expensive.
What $37 is expensive?
No silly, the 1-1 coaching membership is!
The $37 course is just part of the funnel to try and get you into paying $10k+ for the membership. Here's another review on BBB that claims...
I did not make anywhere close to my money back and neither did a lot of people. You pay $10k to join his program and there is very little 1:1 support and guidance and Tanner himself isn't even involved. Save your money and go work with a 1:1 business mentor instead.
#2 Additional monthly costs
There are so many hidden additional costs that you simply won't be aware of before you join Elite CEOs if this is all new to you.
ClickFunnels alone is at least $97 a month!
#3 Paid traffic is dangerous for newbies
Tanner does teach "organic" traffic methods.
But this largely looks like messaging people on Facebook!
Let's be serious here...
When was the last time you spent $2k+ from some random person messaging you on Facebook? Or even from someone that you "know, like and trust" for that matter?!
The only real way this works is if you get into paid ads on Facebook, YouTube and other places.

The pros of paid ads are great.
But they realistically only work for people that throw thousands of dollars at it before they see any results.
It does work.
But most newbies give up before they see any profit, so you gotta have a strong stomach for this if you go down this route.
#4 Is Tanner rich from his methods... or his courses?
So here's the thing...
Tanner claims he's made 8 figures from his Elite CEOs coaching business (this program, yo... no idea why I said yo there).
But also 7 figures from selling a service.
Wanna know what that service was?
Coaching fitness business owners how to do this exact same thing!
When you read between the lines you can see that he's made his money by teaching other people how to make money.
But unless you want to start a coaching business charging people $2,500+, he probably won't help you.
#5 Lack of engagement
So I checked out a ton of the sales videos for Elite CEOs.
But one part really caught my eye...
Tanner claims to have helped thousands of people make a s*%* ton of money.
So why are there less than 300 members in all of his courses combined?
Then I figured, "well his ads are everywhere so he must have a good social following"...
But only 5k subs for a YouTube account that's been going for 4 years?!
I'll let him off that his old stuff is gym related, but he's been posting money videos at least one a week for over a year now. And surely his thousands of die hard fans who he's personally helped would follow him?
Fake it till you make it springs to mind here?!
