What is Reliv International?

Reliv International is Multi-Level-Marketing company that sells health and wellness products in the form of weight loss, dietary, and nutritional supplements.

Their aim is to help people become healthier by getting the right nutrition from vitamins and minerals. They also sell hemp-based products.

The company was founded by Robert Montgomery in St. Louis, Chesterfield, in 1988. Reliv currently has more than 40,000 distributors around the globe.

Who Is Robert Montgomery?

Robert Montgomery is an entrepreneur who started Reliv International at just 23-years-old.

I did some thorough research about his educational background and work experiences, but there’s hardly enough info I can find apart from the fact that Reliv is his first business venture.

But you sure are smart enough to know that it's another sales video, right? So...

Is Reliv International a pyramid scheme?

No, Reliv International is not a pyramid scheme.

Members can make money from the MLM company without recruiting anyone.

They just have to sell their products and promote to as many people as possible. If Reliv isn’t a pyramid scheme, then what is it?

Well, a more fitting question to that is… Is Reliv International a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company which promises members payment for recruiting people to join the company instead of selling actual products or services.

Pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries because not everyone can make money inside this company that’s only paying its members to recruit.

The very few that make money are extroverted people who keep promoting the company’s offerings to every person they meet day and night while selling the idea of “becoming your own boss.”

But based on the diagram, it’s very clear that it’s just impossible for you to make money inside a company with a structure like this because you’ll eventually run out of people to recruit.

It is hard to achieve success in Reliv International or any other MLM in general.

Note that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This happens because of this so-called “sales quota!” This means that members will only stay active and be eligible to receive commissions if they sell a certain amount of company products each month.

If they don’t, then they have to buy the products themselves just to stay active.

This leads to many members losing hundreds, if not thousands of dollars each month even before they recruit a single person.

Aside from that, the company also offers everyday people an opportunity to work from their home by selling their products and receiving commission from the sales and downlines later on as long as they meet the minimum sales quota of 50 PV per month.

It’s like win-win in theory, right?

But the catch is… Reliv International saves tons of cash because they have to ditch their entire marketing campaign entirely as they just let their members do it for them!

ReversAge ($55) - It’s an anti-aging supplement that gets rid of wrinkles and dark spots while strengthening your muscles and bones. In short, it combats the signs of aging.

All of them claim to be special and that they stand out with purely natural and scientifically-proven products. When in fact, they’re just offering the same thing over and over again…

I’ll tell you frankly… it is very hard to make money from Reliv International.

There might be a few people that do, but they’re just making slightly above minimum wage, mostly even lower!

To make things worse, they’re working like a full-time sales manager ‘round the clock…

There are 2 ways that you can earn from Reliv International:

Sell their products to earn commissions
Recruit people into the MLM

Note that you don’t earn bonuses by merely recruiting them. That’s Reliv’s “trick” that keeps them from being labeled as a pyramid scheme… Ingenious, I should say.

So, before diving into their compensation plan, let’s learn...

How much does it cost to join Reliv International?

You’ll spend $100 to join Reliv International. But that doesn’t include anything apart from just being a member of the company. After paying the joining fee, you then have to buy a starter pack.

These packs vary in price from $100 to $1,500, depending on the inclusions.

Here's also a table showing how much their members are really earning (or spending):

You'll see that around 85% of members make only an average of $100 yearly. The highest earnings is also just a minuscule $2,267 annually.

The other 10% then makes only $1,500 to $6,000 annually, while the remaining 5% makes $52,000 annually.

This means that joining Reliv International is most likely going to lead you to lose money...

I find it funny to think that most, if not all MLM companies make their compensation plans confusing and hard to understand.

Reliv International is no different! So, I’ll do my best to keep things simple and easy to understand…

There are 4 ways you’ll get paid by Reliv International:

Retail Commision

Get a 20% to 40% discount every time you purchase a product from Reliv.

That’s if you're an affiliate member. You can then sell these products at retail price, thus earning you a commission.

Override Commission

Earn 2% to 8% commissions from overrides.

But take note that this is just eligible for those in the Master Affiliate ranks and higher. You’ll also get paid up to 5 levels deep on your downlines.

Get a 5% to 20% wholesale profit on any volume purchased by the retail distributor.

Yes, I know, you’re confused with all that! That’s not surprising, though, because that’s completely normal with MLMs.

They just love to use weird acronyms and fancy terms to make it seem like there are lots of ways you can make money from them.

When in fact, there are just 2 things to do:

Sell products
Recruit people

You also have noticed that all of those ways require you to recruit people in one way or another. Maybe not directly, but they still motivate you to recruit as much as possible.

No, Reliv International is not a scam. The company is selling legit products and pays their members exactly as they say.

But the thing is… many members are disappointed to know that the “be your own boss” experience, which their recruiters are trying to promote, is just a false promise.

They’ll also realize that the claims are just misleading and that they’re losing money in the long run…

Did you know that only 30% of MLMs survive the first 10 years?

If that’s the case then Reliv sure did a good job in maintaining their company as they’ve been operational since 1988.

That’s more than 32 years!

The FTC also hasn’t shut it down, so that’s a good sign that this company is legit and abides by the rules.

#2 Positive product reviews

I did some thorough research on the products Reliv International is selling and I’m glad to see that they’ve got a lot of positive reviews.

What I don't like about Reliv International

#1 Expensive products

If an MLM has overpriced products, then that’s a clear red flag that the company is a “pyramid scheme in disguise.”

Instead of selling nice and affordable products, they’re focusing more on recruitment!

I wanted to see if this is really the case, and I’m surprised to see the price difference between Reliv’s $50 to $150 health products compared to other brands that have a price of around $18 to $27 that offer similar benefits.

This is completely normal for MLMs because they offer the same thing but for an insanely expensive price!

So, who the heck wants to buy these overpriced stuff?

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

Here’s another con you should take note of…

Do you remember seeing that members must sell 50 PV monthly to “stay active?” That to me (and surely to many of you) just makes no sense.

50 PV per month means that you must sell more than $90 worth of products every single month. If you can’t, then you need to buy them yourself.

Here's what I found on their official income disclosure...

Here’s the ugly truth… Reliv’s biggest clientele is their members who keep buying their products hoping that they can “be their own boss” as soon as possible.

#3 Is Reliv International a pyramid scheme in disguise?

If you must continuously spend more than $80 monthly to stay active, then there’s just one way to avoid losing that money…

And that’s by recruiting people under you.

Here’s what it really looks like:

You can then guarantee that they must keep on selling over $80 worth of products monthly to earn… That doesn’t sound right to me, or you, eh?

#4 Saturated market

There are loads of health and wellness companies out there selling nutritional supplements that “slows down” the aging process, helps lose weight, and improves health.

It’s just hard to sell products that if there are lots of competitors out there, which unfortunately, are more popular and established than Reliv International...

#5 Downward trend

The final deal breaker for me is what I found in Google Trends…

The number of people who are searching for Reliv International is becoming smaller.

What’s worse is that the figures are very volatile as they keep going up and down. It’s easier if you’re going to sell something that many people want.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t sound like Reliv International...

The only way to make good money is by recruiting as much people as you can and saying that they need to sell and recruit to stay active and earn money.

The truth is… majority of these people are just going to lose money from Reliv International.

That doesn’t sound like an ethical business model to me...

There are 2 ways you can make money as a Poofy Organics MLM member:

Some people get confused at the second point above.

They think that the company will pay them to recruit people into the company. That is not how any legit MLM company works.

They pay you bonuses or commissions on the sales that your "downline" makes.

It's a slight change that makes all the difference in their legalities!

Anyway, you're probably still wondering...

How much does it cost to join Poofy Organics MLM?

It will cost you $39.95 to join.

If you are serious about marketing the products and want to sell them ethically, then you will probably need to test the products out yourself.

If you like the products and would buy them yourself anyway then it will make it much easier to recommend to friends and family than if you have no idea about them.

Allow an extra $100+ for these products.

Poofy Organics monthly cost

Now there are some obvious monthly costs made clear by Poofy Organics and others that are not so obvious.

First of all you will need to pay $9.95 each month for your "replicated website" where you can send people to and you can make a commission without ever needing to handle the products yourself.

However, there is also a monthly cost to "stay active" which is only mentioned in the small print...

If you want to "build a team" and earn bonuses from them then you HAVE to sell at least $200 worth of products every month.

If you have no interest in building a team you will still need to spend $200 on their products every 4 months if you want to receive commission from any sales you make.

These costs can be offset by the sales you make, but it is important to be aware that if you do not sell this amount then you will need to pay for the products yourself.

So the be an "active member" for a year your total costs could be:

$39.95
$9.95 x 12
$200 x 12

Total expenses for year 1 = $2559.35

This is clearly a lot less than starting a regular bricks and mortar business like a restaurant, but it is much more than $39.95!

Poofy Organics compensation plan

For some reason MLM companies get a kick out of making their compensation plans harder to work out than the the Da Vinci Code.

They put so much jargon in there like PV, breakage, GSV, Leg etc. I mean just look at the crazy table below...

So I will do my best to keep this simple.

There are only 3 ways you can get paid...

Retail sales commission & bonus (25% + bonuses for lots of sales)
Rank bonus (sales bonus depending on your rank)
Rank advancement bonus (bonus for "ranking up" or if your downlines get promoted)

You really don't need to understand all the ranks and how to get promoted when you start.

The only thing you need to do is:

Sell products
Recruit people

If you're interesting in making good money ($1,000+ a month) then you need to know that you will need to recruit people to make this happen (or be very good at internet marketing).

There are a couple of things that I really like about Poofy Organics...

Not only is the story of why Kristina started this company very heart warming (her Mom had breast cancer and needed organic products), but it already has a proven history.

It started in 2006 and only 1 in 3 MLM companies last longer than 10 years.

This is a great sign that Poofy Organics is not a scam and won't disappear overnight.

#2 Positive product reviews

There are also many people that have written some very personal and genuine reviews about the products online.

You always have to be wary about MLM positive reviews as it can easily be the "distributors" trying to sell the products.

However, there were so many different stories that it's clear to see real people do use these products and love them!

What I don't like about Poofy Organics MLM

So there are some touching stories about Poofy Organics and I don't deny it's a great reason why this family run business has started.

However, the main reason you are here is probably because you are wondering...

"Can I really make money from Poofy Organics?"

Well here are some of the hidden truths that I think everyone should be aware of before diving in...

#1 Expensive products

This is always the first thing I look at in any MLM company.

Expensive products signals to me that the company could be a "pyramid scheme in disguise". I'll explain why soon but for now just check this out...

Poofy organics = $1.93/ Fl oz
Amazon = $0.39-$0.53/ Fl oz

For some highly rated organic soap on Amazon you can get the same thing that Poofy Organics offers for a fraction of the price.

Poofy Organics is around 250%-500% more expensive than similar products!

Maybe when the company started in 2006 it was hard to find organic personal care products. But these types of products are becoming the norm now.

Would you spend 250% more on a similar product if you didn't have to?

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

At first glance I was pleasantly surprised to see that you didn't "have to" sell a certain amount each month with Poofy Organics.

However, I then found this...

A big warning sign in any MLM is when they have expensive products and then force you to sell a certain amount each month just to "say active".

Let's be honest here...

It's hard to sell $200 worth of soap in any month.

However when an MLM makes this compulsory for you to earn any commission or bonuses it's a sign that...

#3 Is Poofy Organics a pyramid scheme in disguise?

The reason the previous two points combined show that the Poofy Organics MLM is operating as a pyramid scheme in disguise is simply because of this...

To "remain active" you will need to recruit more people into the company to help you achieve your PSV every month.

If you recruit one person guess what they will need to do to remain active?...

Yeah sell (or more likely buy) $200 worth of Poofy Organics products every month.

It leads to a downward spiral of people recruiting people so that they do not need to keep forking out hundreds of dollars a month on soap!

If this isn't enough to convince you it's operating like a pyramid scheme in disguise take this into account...

You are constantly encouraged to "get paid for team building" aka recruiting
2 out of the 3 ways to get paid involves you recruiting
The only way you can get "promoted" is by recruiting

A system like this is not possible for everyone to make money. Unless organic soap become gold overnight, there is not the demand for people to buy and use this enough to pay everyone commission.

The focus is, unfortunately, on recruiting.

#4 Poor customer service & failed product launches

Yelp shows that there are a lot of similar complaints about the company...

The lack of customer service is very apparent and understandable for such a small family run business.

Poofy Organics also tried to launch their CBD product a while ago.

It tanked massively.

We also checked it in Google Trends and we compared it to another reputable MLM, and this is what we saw...

#5 No momentum

This leads onto the last nail in the coffin for the company.

Maskcara is a cosmetics company that features an Multi-Level-Marketing affiliate program as its business model.

Customers can purchase their products online or from official Maskcara Beauty members. They sell an array of cosmetic tools and skincare products with the goal of improving the looks and beauty of their users.

Aside from that, they also have their own contour makeup, bronzers, highlighters, eyeshadows, cheek stains, and a bunch of other cosmetics.

Who is Cara Brook?

Cara Brook founded Maskcara in 2013. Brook is a makeup artist and a blogger of anything that relates to beauty and fashion.

She believes that makeup should be used to enhance the true and inner beauty of women, and not be used to cover things up. Because of this, she started her own company that is built on that idea.

Is Maskcara a pyramid scheme?

No, Maskcara isn’t a pyramid scheme. Members can still earn some good money by simply selling their cosmetics and beauty products without recruiting people.

But a more fitting question to that is… Is Maskcara a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

Companies promising members payment for recruiting people into the company instead of selling actual services and products.

This business model has been banned in a lot of countries because not all members can earn money from a company that is only paying for recruitment.

There might be a few members who make money, but these people do nothing but recruit as many members as people while selling the idea of an alleged “business opportunity.”

What many don’t know is that it is hard to become successful from an MLM company such as Maskcara.

In fact, statistics state that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members are losing money instead of earning...

The reason for this is the sales quota that MLM companies have.

What this means is that members can only become active and be capable of receiving commissions if they reach or much better, go beyond the minimum number of products that needs to be sold monthly.

If they can’t, then they have no choice but to buy the products themselves just to stay active.

This is why hundreds, if not thousands of members are losing thousands of bucks before they can recruit one, single person.

Aside from that, the firm is also offering average people an opportunity to work at the comforts of their own home by selling the products and receiving commissions from them.

It sounds like a good thing as both sides earn from it. But the catch is that Maskcara saves tons of money as they just let their members do all the hard work in promoting and advertising…

Brush Collection ($175.00) - Includes 7 makeup brushes that makes the cosmetics and makeup process easier and more fun.

L’ete Collection ($125.00) - A makeup collection that includes a lipstick, lip tint, cream, moisturizer, and powder foundation.

They provide a fairer complexion, while getting rid of uneven skin tones, wrinkles, and dark spots.

There are a few people who do, but the amount that they make is just similar to that of minimum wage, and they work like full-time sales managers.

How to make money with Maskcara

There are 2 ways you can make money from Maskcara:

Sell their cosmetics and beauty products
Recruit members to join the company

But note that you can only earn commissions and bonuses from the sales of your recruited downlines, and not just from simply recruiting them.

This is how the company saves themselves from being called a pyramid scheme as you cannot directly earn from recruitment alone.

There are 2 options to choose from if you want to become an official Maskcara member:

The kits include brochures, product samples, tools, and promotional materials to kickstart your business, with the higher end option having more inclusions.

Unlike most MLMs, Maskcara doesn't have any sales quota.

However, you are going to incur these expenses in a year…

Minimum costs for year 1 = $318.4 + $518.4

And take note that the costs for training, gasoline, travel, food, and other miscellaneous expenses aren’t yet included there.

MLM companies have compensation plans that are downright confusing. And it turns out that Maskcara is one of them.

That’s not surprising, though! Good thing you’re here as I’ll do my best to keep this simple and straightforward.

There are 4 ways you can earn money from being a Maskcara member:

Enroller Bonus - Earn 5% to 7% bonus from the sales of your newly recruited members every month.
Personal Leader Bonus - Earn 2% of the entire sales made of your downline team every month.
Generation Bonuses - Earn 3% in bonuses once one of your downline members reach any of the influencer ranks.
Maskcara Retailing Commissions - Earn a 20% commission on every personal sale that you make.

Don’t you worry if you’re still confused. That’s completely normal especially if you’re dealing with an MLM.

But what is happening is that members are disappointed after a few months in knowing that they aren’t earning any money as they spend more for their subscription and monthly fees.

This is the reason why there are a handful of members who dismiss the company as a scam.

#1 Positive product reviews

One of the best things that I like about Maskcara is that their products have loads of positive reviews.

Check out some of them:

As you can see, you’ll have a clear feel that their products are of high quality, effective, and worthy of your purchase.

#2 Brand reputation

Maskcara is regarded as one of the most reputable cosmetics company in the globe.

They are even compared to the likes of other notable beauty MLMs like Mary Kay, Avon, and Belcorp. They also don’t have any lawsuits or issues saying that they’re a scam or pyramid scheme...

#3 Doesn't focus on recruitment

Another nice thing that I found on Maskcara is that they’re very different from other MLMs as they don’t have any sales quota.

This is a great thing because it dismisses them as a pyramid scheme which focuses on recruitment.

Nonetheless, there’s still a bit of this idea present in their “training period” where members must sell a minimum of $800 worth of products before graduating from the training phase and becoming an official member that earns commissions.

It doesn’t sound very nice, but that’s still way better than the constant sales quota most MLMs have.

#4 Informative website

The official website of Maskcara has tons of information that tells everything you need to know about their products, ideals, company, and many more.

They’re very informative and has all the details needed to help you decide which is the best product for you. This is a very good thing especially if you want to make your products as sellable as possible to potential buyers.

Their website even shows the full compensation plan which includes video tutorials and marketing tools.

#5 Upward trend

I checked Google Trend to see how Maskcara’s popularity fares, and I discovered that it’s doing pretty well.

In fact, it’s on an upward trend, which shows that you’ve got a high chance of achieving success if you were to become a member as many people are interested on it.

You can even compared it to Farmasi in red, another successful MLM, and you’ll see that Maskcara is keeping up with it.

What I don't like about Maskcara

#1 Expensive products

Maskcara sells expensive products. This isn’t a good sign especially if you want to sell as much products as possible to as many customers you can.

Just check out these other beauty products from similar cosmetics companies:

You can see that they’re way cheaper and if you were to check their reviews, you can see that they’ve also got loads of positive reviews...

#2 No income disclosure

Maskcara doesn’t have any income disclosure.

This is very rare for MLMs knowing that they usually have income disclosures.

What’s more is that Maskcara is a well-known company, and despite that, they still don’t have any income disclosure.

This is a huge turnoff because you will have a hard time enticing people to join the company as you don’t have any solid details that they can earn from it.

#3 Expensive subscription

Maskcara has an expensive subscription as you have to pay either $199 for the Basic Artist kit or $399 for the Pro Artist kit.

It might be just a one-time fee, but that’s still a considerable amount of money. Aside from that, there is also a $9.95 monthly fee for the back office maintenance...

#4 Saturated market

There are loads of beauty and cosmetics MLM companies out there that sell the same stuff.

Just take a look at this:

As you can see, you’re going to have a hard time selling Maskcara products because there are a lot of competitors out there...

#5 Is Maskcara a pyramid scheme in disguise?

If you need to regularly spend $9.95 a month to stay active, then it’s a hint that this is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

It might be just a small amount, but that amount still matters especially if you are unable to sell products for a month.

#6 Downward trend

I checked Google Trends and this is what it showed...

This is clearly not a good sign that you can make money from this MLM because not many people are searching about it...

ASEA has numerous branches around the globe, specifically in 10 different countries. It’s also listed as one of the 100 best MLM companies in the world.

Is ASEA a pyramid scheme?

No, ASEA isn’t a pyramid scheme.

Their members can make and earn money from the company by simply selling their products without recruiting.

But a more accurate question to that is… Is ASEA a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company which pays members for recruiting people instead of letting them sell their offerings which may come in the form of products or services.

Many countries have already banned pyramid schemes because not everyone can earn good money from it. These companies also just pay people to recruit and not sell legit products.

The reason for this is because MLMs have these sales quota which forces members to sell a certain number of products monthly to stay active and receive commissions.

If they can’t sell the minimum number of products then they have to buy it for themselves.

So what does that mean? They buy their own products, thereby losing money instead of earning!

This should be a win-win… But the catch is that ASEA saves tons of money on advertising and marketing because they just let their members do all the hard work.

Before we see if this is actually what’s happening, let’s learn more about...

Before proceeding, it’s very important that you know the actual products that the company is selling before you try your luck becoming one of their members.

You need to understand them really well so you’ll have an easier time selling them.

That’s if you're ready to take the risks...

Here are ASEA’s most popular products:

ASEA RENU 28 ($50) - A skin gel that can be used on your face and throughout your body. It improve skin health by getting rid of wrinkles, dark spots, and freckles while increasing moisture.

RENU Advanced ($75) - Tones up skin color and improves skin cell renewal to slow down the signs of aging. It also cleanses your face and remove makeup.

ASEA Via ($12) - A nutritional supplement containing whole food-based nutrients. It improves general health wellness and speeds up cellular recovery and regeneration.

Note that there are lots of brands out there that are offering the same benefits as the products ASEA is selling.

There are even hundreds of MLM companies that offer very similar products just like:

All these companies say that they are special and that they have a very rare and unique product. When in fact, all of them are just offering a very similar thing.

So, what makes ASEA special?

ASEA Redox - flagship product

Strengthens the immune system and improves the body’s response to inflammations. It also modulates hormone production and improves cardiovascular and digestive health. It's priced at $35.

Their products sound interesting, right? But...

Can you make money with ASEA?

ASEA will give you a hard time earning money.

There might be a few people to make a few bucks that’s just slightly above minimum wage.

But they work like full-time sales managers. For what? For payment that’s just above minimum wage or even lower?

Their income reports even show that hardly anyone makes money from ASEA.

How to make money with ASEA

There are 2 ways you can make money from ASEA:

Sell products to earn commissions.
Recruit people and earn bonuses from downlines.

Note that you can only earn bonuses from the sales of your downlines and not from having to recruit them.

This is one of the reasons why MLMs like ASEA save themselves from being called pyramid schemes because they don’t earn directly from recruitment.

But even if that’s “technically” the case, the earnings are still from recruiting...

How much does it cost to join ASEA?

There are 4 subscription options to choose from when joining ASEA.

These are:

ASEA Advancing Life - $120
Basic Plus - $240
Builder - $370
Express Builder - $720

The first package includes only 1 case. The second one has 2, the third has 4, and the fourth package includes 8 cases. Each case contains 4 bottles of ASEA Redox.

ASEA monthly cost

It costs $15.95 a month to get access to your free website and stay an active member.

But you can see on ASEA's compensation plan that members need to sell a minimum of 100 PV per month which costs $100+ a month. You need to maintain 100 PV every month to stay active and be eligible to earn commissions. 100 PV is equivalent to 1 case.

The costs for 1 year are...

$120 - $720
$100 - $200 x 12

Minimum costs for year 1 = $1,320 - $3,120

And this is before you add in all the additional costs such as training on how to sell this stuff, marketing, and other miscellaneous expenses.

ASEA compensation plan

What I observed in all MLMs is that they make their compensation plans hard to understand by giving it complicated terms, diagrams, and computations.

Well, ASEA is no different! But you don’t need to worry because I’ll keep this simple…

There are 4 ways you can earn from ASEA. These are:

Retail Commissions

Earn 20% commission from each of your sales.

Preferred Customer Bonus

Earn $25 from every sold case whenever you recruited a new member for the company’s autoship program.

Recruitment Commissions

Earn $20 for every pack that is purchased by the newly recruited member.

Team Commissions

Earn 10% of the total sales volume of your team every month. Only those who have built a downline leg worth 300 PV are eligible for this commission.

Don’t worry if you’re still confused with all that because that’s completely normal for MLMs.

These companies use weird acronyms and complex and fancy terms to make it look like there are lots of ways to make money from the company.

When in reality, there are only 2 things that you can do:

Sell their products
Recruit more people

Did you also notice that all of the ways you can get paid require you to recruit members? I smell something fishy here…

The thing I like most about ASEA is that they’ve been in business since 2009.

This is very rare for companies like these because most MLMs don’t go beyond their first 10 years.

So, it’s safe to say that ASEA won’t be gone tomorrow or any time soon like many MLMs. It’s also good to know that ASEA isn’t a scam because they’re not shut down by the FTC.

#2 Positive product reviews

Another good thing I’ve found about ASEA is that their products have a lot of positive reviews.

What I don't like about ASEA

#1 Expensive products

The usual thing that happens with MLMs is that their products are expensive because of the supposed “proprietary ingredient” that’s present even if it’s just a case of branding!

Companies like these just want to earn huge profits without adding value to their products.

This brings me to my next point…

Would you drink a $35 bottle of “saltwater” when you can drink an energy drink from a reputable company like Gatorade for more than half the price cheaper?

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

Do you remember reading that you must sell 100 PV every month to stay active?

That makes no sense because in the first place, why do you need to have a sales quota? Sounds like a pyramid scheme in disguise to me...

The fact is… ASEA’s biggest customer base is their member distributors who are obliged and forced to continue buying their products with the hope that they can be their own boss in the soonest possible time.

#3 Is ASEA a pyramid scheme in disguise?

If you must continue spending over $100 every single month just to stay active, then there’s only one way that you can make sure that you won’t lose that $100 of yours on overpriced saltwater…

And that’s by recruiting people to be a part of your downline!

You can see in the ASEA income disclosure that 0.03% of all members earn an average of $147,144 per year...

This means that 0.25% of all members earn over $30k a year.

In simple words, this means that only 1 out of 493 members make more than $30k a year!

MONAT stands for “Modern Nature”.

They claim to be the leading cosmetic and hair company backed by science.

Luis Urdaneta founded the company in 2014 and the main focus of the company is to provide solutions to common problems such as hair loss.

It is also a Multi-Level-Marketing (MLM) company.

This means it’s possible to become a representative and sell these products to other people and earn money for doing so.

Basically you can start a home business using MONAT Global MLM.

What Is The MONAT Global Product Line?

MONAT Global offers a wide range of products.

They fall under 2 main categories though:

Hair
Skin

They range from hydrating, volumising shampoos & conditioners to moisturisers and body scrubs.

There are options for men, women and even pets!

Their big selling point is that supposedly the products are all science-backed & natural to help with anti-ageing and hair loss.

There are 58 products on their website at the time of writing (November 2019) and range in value from $22-$99 ($19-$84 as a VIP).

You get the basic training material including:

But you do also get some support as a VIP at MONAT Global including the active Facebook Group to ask questions or share results.

You get your own personal website that is set up for you so you can send people directly there to earn commissions.

Plus, the most important support you will receive is from the person who referred you. This can obviously vary quite a lot so spending some time researching (YouTube and Google) different options is important here.

You receive a 30% commission on retail sales and 15% commission on VIP Customer sales as a market partner.

This is an incredible start for the company and shows that the founders certainly knew what they were doing to market and promote the brand.

#3 MONAT is Not a Pyramid Scheme

Many people may ask “Is MONAT Global a pyramid scheme?”

The short answer is no.

The longer one is below…

A pyramid scheme is basically one that operates by getting people to join and only paying them to recruit more people.

When you actually think about this, there is no way these companies are sustainable because soon enough everyone in the world would join and there would be no one left to sign up.

These kinds of companies mean the people at the top (the founders and ones who got in early) can do really well. Anyone joining now doesn’t.

However, as you’ve already seen MONAT is not a scam.

This is because they offer products. Market Partners can still earn commission and money from selling the products to customers.

Everyone will always want shampoo, conditioner and moisturisers.

When they run out, they will look to get more. Therefore, it is possible to make money from the program even if you join now.

#4 No Need to Stock Inventory Or Design a Website

MONAT Global ships directly to your customers.

This means you do not need to stock up on inventory and then ship it off yourself.

In fact, with your own website, it can become quite automated if you can get people to your website every month.

You could technically be anywhere in the world with Internet and still promote your business.

MONAT Global Review: The Not So Good

Chances are you’re starting to think MONAT Global sounds amazing.

Unfortunately, every company or business opportunity has pros AND cons.

Here are some of the bad parts of MONAT Global that you should be aware of before diving in…

#1 Poor Quality Overpriced Products

Here is just a simple Amazon search…

As you can see MONAT’s shampoo costs around $28 and has a rating of 3.5 stars out of 5.

Another brand that sells the same kind of thickening shampoo costs $20 (almost $10 cheaper) and has 4.5 stars from over 1,000 ratings.

This may get alarm bells ringing when you consider your whole business model is based on MONAT’s products.

#2 Customer Complaints: Modern Nature Hair Care Reviews

Trust Pilot gives MONAT Global 3 stars out of 5 from over 2,000 reviews.

This again proves the products are not so great!

A reaction to scalps and hair falling out from a “natural” product!

There have also been over 990 complaints on the Better Business Bureau in the last 3 years. That is a LOT! This is a big reason why so many people question is MONAT Global a scam?

#3 Multiple Lawsuits

If this wasn’t enough there have been numerous lawsuits recorded against MONAT…

I don’t know about you, but I want to make sure the products are high quality in any business I’m interested in joining (or at least not making people’s hair fall out and irritate their scalp!)

#4 The Media Exposes The Company

If you’re like me then you probably know the media can blow things out of proportion.

My big concern here is not necessarily the stories themselves or the fact that the media has put stories like these out there (even though they are pretty bad!)

The biggest concern is what people will now start to think about MONAT. It’s so easy for the media to influence people’s decisions and thoughts about certain brands and companies.

How easy do you think it will be to sell these products to other people now they are asking “is MONAT Global a scam?”

#5 Lack of Support

So yes, MONAT does provide some starter training and a website that is your own.

However, the actual support from the customer service at MONAT does not sound good.

This is not the only report on the BBB with a similar complaint. Deceitfulness from the sales team and poor support to clients!

#6 It’s Cheaper on Amazon… How Will You EVER Sell Any?

Just check out these 2 screenshots…

The exact same product sells on Amazon for $31 compared to $99 on MONAT’s site.

Now that you know this, how can you possibly ethically and morally sell these products to other people?

The best way to market anything is when you genuinely believe in the product and cannot recommend a better alternative.

Imagine you were selling it to your own family… you want to find them the best deal! As you can see, becoming a MONAT Partner will not let you make money by selling the “best” deal to your customers.

#7 Typical MLM Participant Earnings

So much for working from home and living life on your own terms with that kind of salary!

No.

Is it a good business opportunity?

No.

MONAT is not a scam or a pyramid scheme. However, the products are average at best as you can see from this MONAT review.

It’s going to be very hard to sell them now that you know the hidden truths of the program.

I personally believe MONAT started very well. However, it isn’t as good of an opportunity as it once was.

As with all MLM programs you will earn most of your money from recruiting other Market Partners and VIP members. If you know the truth about the program, can you honestly say you are happy to encourage others to sign up?

Blake Roney, Steve Lund, Sandie Tillotson, and Nedra Roney founded the company in 1984.

Blake Roney was once the richest person in Utah with a net worth of $600 million. He was the CEO and chairman of Nu Skin at one time but took leave to become a mission president for the LDS church in France in 2012.

He earned a degree in business finance in 1983 and has clearly but his business acumen to good use.

Any company that has been around for 30+ years is clearly doing something right!

Whilst the credentials of the Nu Skin owners are pretty impressive, the company hasn’t gone without setbacks.

How to make money with Nu Skin

This is probably the reason you’re reading this Nu Skin review!

Like most MLM companies there are 2 main ways you can make money from Nu Skin as a distributor:

Earn a commission on sales you make
Recruit more distributors into the company and get rewards and bonuses for sales they make (for themselves or to others)

We’ll dig into this a bit more in a moment, but before that, you’re probably wondering…

How much does it cost to join Nu Skin?

There are 2 costs to be aware of:

$35 start-up fee
$20 annual membership fee

But in reality, you will need to buy products to sell on and the minimum order for a product pack is $100.

Therefore, it will cost around $155 to start.

But there are other requirements to be aware of.

Active requirements:

You’re recommended to join the automatic delivery rewards (ADR) program to ensure you “stay active” as a distributor.

The lowest package is $100 a month, meaning you need to account for an additional $100 a month outgoings!

The person who introduced you to the model may tell you that it’s OK as you can just sell these products on to other people (and you get a discount… so you make a profit!)

However, wouldn’t it be nice to know about this before jumping in?

Here is a quote straight from the Nu Skin compensation plan:

DISTRIBUTOR AND QUALIFYING EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR: 200 L1 VOLUME & 5 CUSTOMER SALES PER MONTH EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR: 2,000 GROUP SALES VOLUME & 5 CUSTOMER SALES PER MONTH

In English, this means you have make around $200 – 350 in sales each and every month, to qualify as an “active distributor” and earn commission and sales bonuses.

The bottom line:

Set up a $100 monthly standing order
Sell $200-$350 of products each month

Nu Skin compensation plan

Have you noticed that MLM compensation plans are crazily complicated before?

Here’s my theory as to why that is…

It makes it seem like you can get paid in loads of ways, when really it’s just the two mentioned above. Plus it hides the fact that the best way to get paid is recruiting people.

Depth maximiser
Incentive trips

Important (but confusing) Terms:

PSV: Personal Sales Volume is the monthly wholesale point value of the products and services you and your retail customers purchase from the company.
CSV: Commissionable Sales Value is the value associated with product purchases from the company, used to calculate monthly commissions.
GSV: Group Sales Volume represents the total PSV in your Circle Group, including your own PSV, for a given month.
GCSV: Group Commissionable Sales Value is the value associated with product purchases from the company in your circle group.

See what I mean about unnecessarily confusing?

Remember, there are ONLY 2 ways to get paid:

Sell products
Recruit MLM distributors

Keep it simple!

Technically speaking Nu Skin will pay distributors to sell their products.

Therefore, it is not a pyramid scheme.

However, if you want to make serious “quit your day job” money then you will need to recruit people to join the MLM company.

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is when a company recruits members by promising them payment for recruiting more members.

It’s actually surprisingly sooner than you may think too!

As you can see just by recruiting 6 members each the world’s population is not enough to cope with a 13-level company!

…and most pyramid schemes require you to recruit more than 6 people each to make any decent money!

#1 Long and proven history (over 30 years)

Nu Skin has existed for over 30 years.

It’s impossible for an outright scam to do that.

FACT.

Every business has challenges along the way but to stay active for 30 years means they must be doing something right.

#2 Good Nu Skin reviews on products

There are a lot of people that seem to be delighted by the products on offer at Nu Skin.

#3 Good commission payouts

Getting a 30% commission for selling anything that isn’t yours is pretty good.

Especially considering some of the products are over $100 a piece you can see how it’s possible to earn some good money just by selling Nu Skin’s products.

This commission is paid because you can buy the products at a 25% discount as a distributor.

When you sell their products for the retail price to other people you basically keep the difference.

#4 Charitable work

Nu Skin gives back.

This is so important that big companies do this as it really helps to improve aspects around the world.

Their Nourish the Children foundation has helped to provide over 400 million meals to children who normally don’t eat.

Hats off to a great cause.

Nu Skin: The not so good

Here are some of the bad parts of Nu Skin that you should be aware of before diving in.

The company certainly has a lot of good things about it, but some of these are hidden truths that everyone should know.

#1 Overpriced products

When you compare their products to similar ones on the market it’s quite alarming.

Very highly rated toner comparables on Amazon sell for $0.63/ Fl Oz and $2.55/ Fl Oz.

Nu Skin’s toner sells for $27.02/ Fl Oz!

That’s a 1,000% mark up compared to the more expensive comparison!

This is one of the big red flags of any shady MLM program.

They mark their prices so high typically because they make new “recruits” need to buy products.

This means that every new distributor the company gets puts a nice healthy chunk of money in their pocket.

If you find an MLM who has reasonably priced products it usually means there is more focus on selling the products, rather than recruiting more people.

#2 Crowded market

There are thousands of makeup and skincare brands.

No one will ever create anything that is brand new or stand out in this market. You can guarantee it has already been done!

Typically, most women find a brand they like and want to stick with it.

So if you go around telling all your friends they should convert to this crazy high expensive brand you all of a sudden start promoting, they will likely be a bit wary and won’t want to buy it at all.

#3 Nu Skin Lawsuits

Nu Skin was fined $47 million in China for being accused of being a pyramid scheme.

They also had additional charges to pay once it was uncovered that they tried to bribe the officials!

This is not the only lawsuit they have faced though!

Here are some of the other lawsuits Nu Skin has been accused of:

Deceptive advertising (1992 & 1994)
Unproven claims (1994 & 1997)
Bribing officials (2014 as the above example)

Does this sound like a company that uses ethics at the forefront?

#4 Nu Skin Is Not Growing

This is my personal biggest worry.

It’s well known that the best MLM distributors are the ones that get in early near the top of the “food chain”.

If you join Nu Skin now there are 30 years worth of people that are ahead of you in the pecking order.

Nu Skin is NOT in trend or growing anymore!

When you compare it to other new and exciting companies like Farmasi you can see people are not searching for it as much on Google any more.

#5 MLM’S success rate (1%)

Did you know the FTC released a study into over 350 MLM companies?

Well they did!

And they found that 99% of MLM recruits lose money!

#6 98.55% of Nu Skin distributors make less than $19k/ year

I’m not even lying!

I understand there are people that make some insane money from Nu Skin as a recruiter. But these are elite salespeople with thousands of people on their “team/ downline”.

Personally I’d rather take my chances on a business opportunity like affiliate marketing.

I have personally spoken to dozens of people who use this business model to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a month… and they are not salespeople who love selling to their friends and family and destroying relationships they have built.

Here are some examples:

Jeff and Ben (make $240k month… they didn’t know what affiliate marketing was 4 years ago)

She seems to have a pretty clean track record and has only had one suspicion on being sued in 2018 without any real evidence provided as to why or how this went.

Joni oversees over 500 employees at SeneGence and is known for her Cristian religious beliefs, her patience and work ethic.

Her husband, Ben, is SeneGence chief strategy officer.

It’s clear to see that Joni is a shrewd businesswoman and has created a great company in SeneGence.

How Does SeneGence Work?

SeneGence claims to use a direct sales business model (paying commission to people that sell their products).

In reality, it’s much more in line with an MLM structure as distributors get the most rewards when they recruit more MLM members.

However, the part that makes the company stand out is that Joni and her team finds unique ingredients around the world for their original, patented and proprietary formulations.

Technically a pyramid scheme is a company that only pays you when you recruit more people into the company.

SeneGence has been around for 20 years.

If a company can get through all the challenges every business faces for that long it shows it’s likely able to do so for the future.

You cannot survive for that long and become a multi-billion dollar company if you’re a scam!

#2 You Can Make Profit From Selling Products

Many MLM’s main focus is on recruiting new members.

However, SeneGence pays its distributors 20-50% commission for every sale made.

You’re about to find out how to make really good money, but it certainly is possible to make a decent income just from selling their products.

#3 Popular Products Already Established

It’s much easier to sell something that people already want.

Lipsense is a product that people already know about and there are many people who use it religiously.

SeneGence: The Not So Good

Here are some of the hidden truths about SeneGence that you should be aware of before you jump in…

#1 No Income Disclosure Statement

This is a pretty big red flag.

Some people actually believe it is a law for MLM companies to display their income disclosure.

It’s not a law, however, most MLM companies do display this.

It’s often a selling tactic from the company.

This tells me something is wrong and either:

The income statements are so bad that the company doesn’t want to display it publicly
The compensation plan is so confusing that they cannot accurately track it

My guess is it’s a bit of both but only they can tell you why they don’t display this.

#2 Negative Product Reviews

For me, this is a big nail in the coffin.

There are loads of negative reviews around a whole range of their products.

The most tcommon ones are:

Products are not safe/ sealed
Lipsense only lasts for a few hours (not all day)
Certain products leave rashes or blemishes on the skin

#3 MLM’S Success Rate (1%)

The FTC produced a report on over 300 MLM companies.

One pretty jaw-dropping stat was that:

99% of MLM recruits lose money.

I knew it was a lot, but I had no idea it was that bad!

Obviously this doesn’t count for every MLM opportunity, but judging by the lack of income disclosure, I would bet it’s no better than average!

#4 No Stock = No Sales

This must be so frustrating for their MLM distributors.

Again there are numerous complaints about the same topic.

It sounds like people panic buy their products whenever they are in stock as they know it won’t last very long!

#5 The Costs To Stay Active Are Expensive

Before you start as a distributor you probably think…

“I can easily sell $300 of stock in 3 months”.

Well, just by judging from the MLM stats and the reviews of SeneGence… it’s not that easy!

If you cannot sell this amount of products then you will need to buy the products yourself to stay active.

If I had to choose an MLM company to start with right now… it wouldn’t be SeneGence.

It’s great that it’s been in business for 20 years but when you are looking to make money yourself, this is often a bad thing!

The most successful distributors get in early on the opportunity to create a big “downline” of other distributors.

It becomes a huge uphill battle just to break even that most distributors give up before they make their money back (hence the 99% that lose money).

You probably think that the answer to “is Bellame a scam” answers this one.

However, it’s actually two different questions.

It is possible to make money from Bellame without recruiting more people into the company.

Therefore, it’s technically not a pyramid scheme.

But because of the lack of money you can make from selling their products it is actually very close to being a pyramid scheme in disguise…

What Is A Pyramid Scheme?

A pyramid scheme is when a company recruits members by promising them payment for recruiting more members.

Technically there are no products sold or any other ways for recruits to make money other than recruiting more people to join the company.

The issue with this is… eventually the world will run out of people that can join!

It’s actually surprisingly sooner than you may think too!

As you can see just by recruiting 6 members each the world’s population is not enough to cope with a 13-level company!

…and most pyramid schemes require you to recruit more than 6 people each to make any decent money!

Bellame: The Good

Here are some of the things I like about Bellame…

Key Terms:

Black Hat Methods – Using lies and unethical methods to make someone buy something
White Hat Methods – Being honest and genuine to help people make informed decisions about purchases
Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from referring others to the service rather than providing a product
Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so

#1 Focus on Sales to Get Promoted

You will need to sell a lot of products and generate a lot of income for Bellame through PV and GV points to get promoted.

You could technically get promoted all the way to the highest trank by only recruiting 4 or 5 people.

However, in reality, you will actually need to recruit a lot more than this as we’ll find out later in this Bellame review…

#2 Experienced Owners

Melissa Thompson has a lot of experience in the beauty industry.

She also understands the importance of “social selling”.

For any MLM partner to do well, they need to use the power of the internet to help sell for them 24/7/365.

Her husband, Scott, also has experience as a digital marketer.

If you can find a good “sponsor”, with online marketing experience, you could be onto a winner with this company.

#3 Still New

This is actually quite a good thing for MLM companies.

Typically the most successful MLM partners join the program in the early days as there are a lot more people that can still join.

If an MLM company has been going for years you can often have missed the boat on getting in at the best time.

Bellame: The Not So Good

Here are some of the bad parts of Bellame that you should be aware of before diving in…

#1 Expensive Products That Will Be Hard To Sell

You probably know that there are so many other similar products on the market.

For comparison, Avon’s Eye Cream is priced at $22, and its lip gloss is at $11.

Bellame’s Hydrating Eye Cream is $61 and their moisturizing Lip Gloss costs $27.

Many women would gladly spend more on a quality skincare product.

However, there are so many to choose from that it’s possible to get great quality products for a fraction of the price.

This leads us onto…

#2 Crowded Niche

The personal care market is super crowded.

There are just so many products out there.

The majority of women find a product that they like and to stick with it.

Close friends may be tempted to try some of the makeup or skincare samples but if they prefer their usual brand, they won’t buy it again.

People are creatures of habit so you are totally reliant on the products selling themselves compared to the thousands of others out there.

This means you don’t really have too much control over your own “business”.

#3 MLM’S Success Rate (1%)

The FTC produced an eye-opening study.

From over 300 MLM’s in the study, they found that 99% of MLM recruiters lose money!

You probably knew the number would be high.

But if you’re like me I bet you didn’t know it was that high?!

#4 No Income Disclosure Statement

Bellame is still too new to produce an income disclosure statement (although they will probably have to by the end of 2019).

This means you have absolutely no idea how well other MLM recruits are doing like other more established MLM companies.

Obviously this doesn’t always mean you will achieve the same results as others but at least it gives you an idea of what’s possible.

#5 New… But Already Plateauing?

This is a major red flag for me!

The best thing about getting into a new MLM is that you can jump on the upward trend and interest of people joining.

However, when you compare the company to other very similar MLM companies like Farmasi, the data doesn’t look good…

This is the trend of how many people are searching for Bellame compared to Farmasi on Google.

It just isn’t as good as other similar opportunities.

If I was set on joining a beauty MLM company I believe Farmasi is far superior because:

There is a huge upward momentum still
The products are much more reasonably priced
You don’t have ANY monthly costs/ need to hoard products

In my opinion, anyone that does well from MLM companies understands the importance of selling online.

The internet can sell for you 24/7/365 even when you’re sleeping or spending time with your family.

This is why there is such a difference in income between the super high earners and 99% of recruits that lose money.

However, if you are anything like I used to be, you probably have no idea where to even start with online marketing…

What is Global Dream Network?

Global Dream Network is a Multi-Level-Marketing company located and based in South Africa that follows a peer-to-peer cash gifting business model system.

Members can send cash donations to other people through this system. It was founded in Jan. 2019, making it just over a year old.

I did some further research into it and discovered that they were only referring to one person named Akim Sibande.

So with this, I can conclude that he most likely might be the founder, despite the lack of any information that this is the case.

Check out this 2-minute video that talks about the company...

Their LinkedIn profile also says that the company is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

However, there’s no solid info about the exact address of their office.

Is Global Dream Network a pyramid scheme?

There are a lot of signs that show Global Dream Network as a full-blown pyramid scheme.

First off, is that their members can’t earn money aside from recruiting people into the company.

The only way they can earn some bucks is by getting other people to join the cash gifting system. I’ll be digging deeper into that later.

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company or organization that is paying members to recruit people instead of offering legitimate products and services.

A lot of governments have already banned this because not everyone can earn from a company which only pays for recruitment.

There are members who do make money, but they are mostly extroverted people who work for more than 8 hours a day and acting like full-time sales managers for payment that’s only slightly higher, or worse, even lower than minimum wage.

And if you were to closely examine the diagram above, you can see that it’s just impossible for all of the members to make money from a system because you’d just eventually be running out of people to recruit.

Success is rare with Global Dream Network

It is hard to reach or achieve any kind of success when you’re with an MLM such as Global Dream Network.

Statistics even state that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members don’t make any money.

The reason to blame for this is the “sales quota” that most, if not all MLMs have.

This means that the only way for members to stay active and earn commissions is by reaching and going beyond the minimum sales requirement every month.

How does Global Dream Network Work?

Global Dream Network works by letting you donate money to someone you aren’t acquainted with.

Doing so then means you earn a commission from it once you’ve invited and recruited other people to do the same process.

I analyzed the company’s business model and realizes that they are a peer-to-peer and crowd sharing platform, much like the GoFund Me campaigns we all know today.

This means that members can raise funds for emergencies, advocacies, or even business ventures.

Global Dream Network products

Global Dream Network doesn’t sell any product or service.

Instead, their business model is designed in a way that acts like a donation drive where you can join them, send monetary donations to someone, and then earn commissions by recruiting other people to do the same process that you did.

But then again, I checked their site and this is what shows up:

How does this work? Simple.

All you have to do is pay (or donate) $24 for the membership.

They said that they’re giving this amount to the beneficiary. You then recruit at least two people who should do the same.

When they’ve paid their initial dues and recruited two more people, you then receive $48. This cycle goes on and on, and you earn more $24 the more downlines you get.

Aside from that, there’s no other product or service offered, which makes this a bit suspicious knowing that the business model is only focusing on recruitment.

There are no incentives for the number of products sold as well, which is again, a clear sign that this is a scam and an outright pyramid scheme.

Can you make money with Global Dream Network?

Yes, but it’s hard, and you’ll just eventually lose that money.

There might be a few people who do make some bucks, but they treat it as their full-time job or business, and not just a part-time gig.

There isn’t even any income disclosure which proves that Global Dream Network members are really earning.

How to make money with Global Dream Network

There’s only 1 way you can make money from Global Dream Network, and that’s by recruiting members.

The more members you recruit, the higher chances of earning.

How much does it cost to join Global Dream Network?

You need to pay $24 to become a member.

This then activates your account and enables you to send monetary donations, and at the same time recruit people.

However, as your rank increases, the amount you have to pay or donate also gets higher.

In fact, reaching Rank 2 means you have to pay $48, which is double the amount. Reach Rank 3, and you’ll need to pay $72, and so on...

Global Dream Network compensation plan

MLM companies always have confusing compensation plans. Well, Global Dream Network isn’t an exemption.

But don’t worry as I’ll be doing my best to simplify it as much as possible...

There’s only 1 way you can earn money from Global Dream Network, and that is by means of recruitment.

Global Dream Network divides its members into 4 levels.

These are:

Level 1 Affiliate
Level 2 Affiliate
Level 3 Affiliate
Level 4 Affiliate

You need to pay $24 if you’re Level 1. You then expect a return of $48. Get promoted to Level 2 and pay $48 for a return of $96.

If you get promoted to Level 3, you then have to pay $96 and expect a return of $192.

Is Global Dream Network a Scam: Compensation

The cycle goes on and on until you reach the highest rank, which I believe is Level 5.

It sounds pretty simple, and I’m sure it had you thinking of joining them… But hold your horses, because this is common for MLMs to make their compensation plans as enticing as possible.

When in reality, the only way you can make money from them is through:

Recruiting members

Unfortunately, I can’t find any official compensation plan from Global Dream Network, which makes it sound fishier...

Is Global Dream Network a scam?

Yes, Global Dream Network is a scam.

They don’t sell any products or services and the only way members can make some kind of money is by recruiting members into the system.

What I like about Global Dream Network

I dug deep into their business model, compensation plans, company background, or any detail I can see, but unfortunately, I really can’t find anything good or nice about Global Dream Network.

#1 No real product

The biggest red flag in Global Dream Network is the absence of any real product or service.

Although they have a system where members can send donations or monetary payment to other people in need.

But they just do this for the sake of earning bonuses from recruiting other people to do exactly the same process that they did.

Anyone with common sense can immediately conclude that this is just a mere chain recruitment system where you spend more money just to recruit more people and get back the money you’ve just spent.

#2 Lack of information

Another thing I don’t like about Global Dream Network is that there’s no information on their website. Here’s what their site looks like:

They don’t even have an income disclosure or official compensation plan to prove and show that they are really a legitimate company.

This shows that there’s something fishy going on here!

#3 Hidden monthly expenses

The $24 subscription fee isn’t just a one-time fee, but you need to pay that regularly for you to stay as an active member.

In fact, you’re going to spend more when you reach a higher rank, which means that the $24 you are supposed to pay, will double, triple, or even quadruple soon.

This is a huge deception from the company, because they say that it’s free to join, when in fact, you need to pay, or as to what they say, donate the initial $24 to someone.

#4 Is Global Dream Network a pyramid scheme in disguise?

There’s no denying that Global Dream Network is a pyramid scheme because there is no other way to make money from the company other than to recruit members.

This is how their business model looks like:

The only way you can avoid spending the minimum cost of $24 every month is by recruiting people.

The more people you recruit, the higher the chances of you earning more money.

In no way is this an ethical business model...

#5 Unpopular

I always check Google Trends to see how an MLM fares well in terms of popularity with the people. And what I always see are trends that are going down. But this time, it’s different.

Here’s what I saw…

As you can see, there’s no information available because there are not many people searching for Global Dream Network.

In fact, the figures, if there any are, is just plain irrelevant that Google decides to not just show it.

This means you are going to have a hard time selling whatever it is that Global Dream Network has to offer.

Global Dream Network doesn’t sell any product or any kind of service. What’s even worse is that the only way members can make money from them is by recruiting members, which is a very clear sign of them being a pyramid scheme.

The only way you can make some bucks is by recruiting as many people as you can and letting them hope that they can earn big time if they do the same, even if you already know that this isn’t the case.

It’s all about selling the dream of becoming rich by mere recruitment, which isn’t right at all angles...

What is Cowboy Wealth?

Cowboy Wealth claims to be a Multi-Level-Marketing company that is made up of an international team of marketing executives.

They also partner with another e-commerce company called Melaleuca which sells health and wellness products.

Not much is known about Cowboy Wealth because it just doesn’t give any solid information about their operations, history, background, and exact offerings.

However, they do say that they help people live a healthier life by educating them about proper diet. They also mention their “thorough groundbreaking technology” that will help people save lots of money. It just sounds like a hyped up marketing campaign to me...

Furthermore, I also found out in my research that Cowboy Wealth just hints about these things based on what their website says:

Receive money in the form of checks from Amazon
Earn money by shopping at Costco
Create a strong network
Online and offline marketing training

And the most elaborate claim they make is that they have already paid out more than $5 billion in earnings from the commissions.

It’s just plain impossible, frankly speaking, especially if you were to look at their website which doesn’t have any real “meat” to it.

I can't find any proper video that explains what Cowboy Wealth is, aside from this very short 10-second video with plain text...

What is Melaleuca?

Melaleuca is the company that Cowboy Wealth claims to be their main partner.

This company is way more legit than Cowboy Wealth because it is a legal company that was founded back in 1985 by Frank VanderSloot.

They sell health and wellness products, and they also have an affiliate program where members sell their products for them to earn commissions.

Who is Chris and Cathy Sorensen?

Chris and Cathy Sorensen are the founders of Cowboy Wealth. They claim to have more than 30 years of experience in the entrepreneurship world.

But this isn’t backed up by any claim.

Ask yourself this...

There are a lot of signs that show Cowboy Wealth as a pyramid scheme. First is that they don’t have any product or service offered.

They just say they have but they don’t show any sign that they have. They also don’t say anything about members earning commissions…

Note that between 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members are losing money.

This can be blamed mainly on the sales quota imposed on them which forces them to sell a certain amount of products monthly for them to stay active and receive commissions.

If they can’t do this, then they just buy the stuff to themselves just to stay active and get money.

Hence, most members lose a large amount of money from their own pockets before they can recruit their first member...

How does Cowboy Wealth Work?

They do this in partnership with Melaleuca, which is another health and wellness MLM company.

Aside from that, they have an affiliate program where members become agents, and in turn, sell their products in exchange for commissions.

It’s like a winning situation for both sides, but it’s actually just Cowboy Wealth that benefits greatly as they save lots of money knowing that the members are the ones who do all the promotions and marketing.

Cowboy Wealth says that they train members to become an expert in online and offline marketing.

This way, they can attract leads and investors not only in a national level, but around the globe. They also say that they help members set up online accounts with the potential customers internationally.

Furthermore, they say that their members can then receive residual income from their recruited downline members who purchase their products and services.

But the thing is, they didn’t mention anything as to what their actual products and services are.

They just keep on saying they provide excellent training programs to members. And that they have already shelled out $5 billion worth of commissions to members.

All of that without any evidence of some sort!

Nonetheless, their partner company, Melaleuca, offers some real products:

Melaleuca Renew ($35) - A lotion that moisturizes dry skin and gets rid of any signs of flaking, redness, itching, and scaling.
Melaleuca Herbal Shampoo ($36) - A shampoo that features botanical extracts that strengthens the hair and makes it shine more.
Melaleuca Mineral Supplement ($25) - A multivitamin supplement that strengthens the immune system and makes you generally healthy.

Note that there are a lot of other MLMs that are selling the same stuff. It’s just not them.

It is hard to make any money from Cowboy Wealth.

There might be some who do, but they earn very small amounts of money. Sometimes, it doesn’t even compensate for the expenses they make and energy and time they spend.

And they do not have any income disclosure to prove that they have members who do make money.

How to make money with Cowboy Wealth

Although it was not clearly stated, it can be implied that members can do these 2 things to make money:

Sell the products and services offered by the company
Recruit members into the company

But then again, there is no strong information that supports this, other than mere assessments of the content they put up in their site.

How much does it cost to join Cowboy Wealth?

You just have to pay a meager $19 to become an official member.

This is for the subscription fee that will be recorded in their system.

Cowboy Wealth compensation plan

Cowboy Wealth does not have a compensation plan.

However, they describe their system of providing a business opportunity to members in a short and curiosity-inducing manner as what is stated in their site.

They say that members can earn $500 to $2,500 if they work part-time. Meanwhile, they can get $2,500 to $10,000 a month if they go full-time.

They then said to call a specific number to ask for more information. But it was out of service...

I tried it again and I filled out the form on their site so that I can see what information lies ahead.

But after signing up, there’s literally none. I mean, what actually does this company do if it can’t even show any clear sign of business in this early stage?

No worries if you are confused. Because no doubt it is confusing! MLMs always do this so many will think there are loads of ways to make money.

But things got a lot worse with Cowboy Wealth because they don’t have a product, service, or even a clear description or explanation of their compensation plan.

I'm note sure if this diagram which they say is their compensaiton plan is true because it just came out of nowhere, with no backup claims or whatsoever.

I also can't find a compensation plan video of Cowboy Wealth or even Melaleuca.

Is Cowboy Wealth a scam?

Yes, there is a good chance this is a scam.

They offer no product or service, they just settle on providing hype, and when you contact them, they are nowhere to be found.

There’s not much to say about this because I know you are already convinced as early as now that this is a scam…

But hold on, because the next section of this review is going to show you if this is really the case.

Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so

#1 Ignites curiosity

I am supposed not to include this because it’s not really a pro.

However, I decided to because they do a moderately good job in provoking the imagination and curiosity of potential members.

As you can see, the poster doesn’t say much, but it’s enough to make people think as to what really is this company.

What I don't like about Cowboy Wealth

#1 No product or service

Cowboy Wealth has no product or service. How can a company even function or survive if it doesn’t offer anything?

They say they sell health and wellness products as well as financial training courses.

But there’s just none.

There is no evidence that any of the stuff they say is true and factual.

#2 Shady business model

There is no clear company structure. They also say that they partner with Melaleuca, a more renowned health and wellness MLM.

But for what?

I can accept this if they show any product. But there’s just none…

It’s all talk, and no action.

#3 Hidden monthly expenses

Members should sell 50 PV monthly to stay active.

If they can’t, then they become inactive and unable to receive any commissions they make.

But then again, there’s even no evidence that Cowboy Wealth even pays. They’ve got no compensation plan, no income disclosure, and no clear rules or requirements about the business opportunity they are talking about.

#4 Is Cowboy Wealth a pyramid scheme in disguise?

There is a good sign that Cowboy Wealth is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

And even though they did not give any clear description of how their members earn money, they mentioned recruitment on their site.

Also, considering all the shady vibe this business has, it’s very possible that this is a pyramid scheme in disguise...

#5 Downward trend

Google Trends shows me this...

As you can see from the diagram, the popularity of Cowboy Wealth has decreased significantly.

This shows that people are not anymore that interested with this MLM company...

My opinion - Cowboy Wealth

I’ve mentioned this numerous times already.

But I’ll say it again, Cowboy Wealth does not have any product, service, income disclosure, compensation plan, and even a decent website.

That’s really all there is about the company.

Here is what I can say about their business opportunity...

I don’t like to say this, but…

Cowboy Wealth is just no good.

It’s all about creating something that will ignite the curiosity of potential members and customers, so that they can recruit to earn money, even if there is no real substance as to what the company really is.

You’re safe with other better business opportunities out there...
