Univera is a health and wellness  Multi-Level-Marketing company that sells health and wellness products such as nutritional supplements and skincare regimens containing aloe vera.

Yunho Lee founded the company in 1976. However, they only started selling products in 1999.

Their main goal is to provide people an opportunity to live a fit and healthy life with the help of the aloe vera-based products they are selling.

They also have an affiliate program where members can join and earn money from their sales and downline commissions.

Is Univera a pyramid scheme?

No, Univera isn’t a pyramid scheme.

Their MLM members can make money by selling nutritional supplements without recruiting.

But a better question to that would be… Is Univera a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company promising members payment for recruiting people into the company.

Recruitment is prioritized instead of selling the actual products or services of the company.

These are illegal in many countries because not everyone can make money inside a company that only pays people for recruiting.

The only members who make the most money in this company are those who recruit people to join this “business opportunity” and experience “being their own boss.”

But based on the diagram above, it’s impossible for every member to make good money inside this system because you’ll eventually run out of people you can recruit.

Success is rare with Univera

The fact is… it’s hard to achieve success in Univera or any other MLM company in general.

According to a study, between  72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

This is because MLMs have a sales quota which forces their members to sell a certain number of products monthly to stay active and be eligible in receiving commissions.

If they can’t reach the quota, then they have to buy the products themselves just to say active.

This leads to many members losing thousands of dollars before they recruit a single person...

How does Univera Work?

Univera sells health supplements that contain aloe vera, a plant which is known for its many health benefits such as lowering blood sugar, sun protection, and as a natural laxative.

Aside from their products, they also offer everyday people the opportunity to work from home by selling their products and receiving commissions.

Theoretically speaking, it’s like a win-win.

But the thing is…

Well, Univera is no different!

No need to worry, though, because I’ll do my best to keep this simple and straightforward…

There are 3 ways you can get paid from Univera:

Retail Sales

Earn between 10% to 20% in commissions from your sales.

Signing up a regular customer means you get 10%, while signing up and selling products to a new recruit means you get 20%.

Unilevel Commissions

Earn money every time your recruited downlines make a sale.

This goes down up to 4 levels deep. The amount of money you earn also depends on your rank and the rank of your downline that made the sale.

Generation Pay

Earn 3% to 15% of the entire volume sold, depending on your rank and the rank of your downlines.

Yes, I know… you’re confused! Don’t worry if that’s the case because that’s perfectly normal.

MLMs use weird acronyms and fancy terms to make it look like there are loads of ways you can make money.

When in fact, there are just 2 things to do:

• Sell their products
• Recruit members to join the MLM

Nope, Univera isn’t a scam.

The company sells legit products and they pay members exactly like what they say.

Unfortunately, many of their members get annoyed by the exaggerated and false promises and claims that they realize only a few months after they’ve been in the company and losing money…

This is why some call Univera a scam!

I found out that only 1 out of 3 MLM companies survive the first 10 years.

Univera started in 1998 and they’ve been operational since then.

Yes, Univera might be another health and wellness MLM, but there’s one thing that makes them different — aloe vera.

The plant has been scientifically proven to have many health benefits, and there’s not many brands out there that sells aloe vera-based products...

What I don't like about Univera

#1 Expensive products

If an MLM has overpriced products, that’s a big red flag that the company is a “pyramid scheme in disguise.”

A proper company should focus more on selling good and affordable products.

But that’s not the case with Univera because the products they’re selling are just so expensive.

To make matters worse, they’re focusing on recruitment instead of the actual selling process...

As you can see, they’re way cheaper and comes from known and reputable brands...

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

You need to sell 40 PV per month which is valued at around $60 to $80.

If you can’t reach that quota, then you’ll be inactive and could not receive any payments from the company. It just doesn’t make any sense...

If you can’t sell 40 PV (or whatever it is they call it), then you need to buy it yourself — $60 to $80 worth of Univera products every single month.

Here’s the truth… Univera’s biggest customer base is their affiliates who just keep buying their stuff hoping that they can “become their own boss” instantly.

#3 Is Univera a pyramid scheme in disguise?

If you must spend $60 to $80 every month to stay active, then there’s only one way for you to not lose $60 to $80… and that is by recruiting people.

You then need to motivate them to sell $60 to $80 worth of Univera products.

At least that isn’t you, right? Well, kidding aside, this just shows that Univera is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

#4 Downward trend

The final nail in the coffin for Univera is what I discovered in Google Trends…

 There’s just not many people that search for Univera. The popularity also goes up and down, making it very volatile.

This means that sales is just unstable. You just can’t sell products if people aren’t interested on it, just like the case with this as proven by the Almighty Google…

My opinion - Univera

Univera sure has a number of interesting products compared to other MLMs.

But what do I think about their business opportunity?...

The only legit way you can make any money is by recruiting many people and falsely motivating them to sell and stay active for them to earn some bucks.

The truth is that most, if not all of these recruited members will just lose money from Univera sooner or later…

Is that an ethical business model you want to be a part of?

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

• You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
• You never need to sell to friends and family
• It's completely free to start
