What is Yoli?

Yoli is a health and wellness Multi-Level-Marketing company that was founded by entrepreneurs Corey Citron, Robby Fender, Daren Falter, and Bobby Jones back in 2009.

Fender is currently serving as the CEO and president of the company while Citron acts as their chief marketing officer. Meanwhile, the other founders serve the other top executive positions in the company.

Yoli claims to provide a healthier lifestyle with the help of its all-natural ingredients that are specifically designed to help people lose weight in the safest and most natural way possible.

It’s also worth noting that Yoli is an Aztec term for “to live.” Their main office is in Salt Lake City, Utah, however, they already have thousands of members across the US.

Here is a 1-minute video that will give you an idea on what Yoli really is...

However, many people ask...

Is Yoli a pyramid scheme?

Nope. Yoli isn’t a pyramid scheme. The members of the company are earning money from the sales of their products, and not just merely from recruiting other people.

However, a more fitting question to this is… Is Yoli a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company, organization, or institution that is paying members whenever they recruit someone. This is the main business model instead of selling actual and legitimate products or services.

Many countries around the globe have already labeled these as illegal as it is just impossible for all of the members to earn a steady income from a company that only pays people for the recruitment that they do.

Here is a Wikipedia diagram that explains this...

The members who are making money from this kind of company are those who do nothing but just recruit until they exhaust all the potential members while advertising this alleged “business opportunity.”

But if you were to look at the diagram more closely, you’ll see that it is just impossible for all of the members to make a steady income from this as you’re just going to be running out of members to recruit…

You can learn more about these pyramid schemes in disguise and how you can spot them from this 5-minute video below...

Let's continue and discuss why...

Success is rare with Yoli

If you’re very optimistic about Yoli, then you better run your hopes low because you are going to have a hard time achieving success with it, or in any other MLM company in general.

Did you know that around  72.5% to 99.9% of MLM agents and members aren’t making money as they’re losing money instead.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This is happening because MLMs have a sales quota which members need to achieve for them to stay active and receive commissions.

If they can’t, then they don’t have any other choice but to just buy the products for themselves just so that they can stay active.

This is why members are losing hard earned money by the thousands before they get their first recruit...

How does Yoli Work?

Yoli works by selling health and wellness products that are aimed at improving the overall function of the body and helping people lose weight through proper metabolism.

They also offer people an opportunity to work from their own homes with their affiliate program. This enables them to sell products at higher prices, thus, they earn commissions.

In theory, it’s a win-win situation.

But little do they know that Yoli saves millions of dollars because they don’t have to have any marketing campaign as their members are the ones doing all the promotion and advertising instead...

Yoli products

Here are a few of the best-selling products of Yoli:

  • Yoli Passion Energy Drink ($104) - An energy drink that gives the body a natural boost of energy. It is specifically designed to help users become more productive with a little energy boost and without compromising the body’s natural mechanism.
  • Yoli YES Protein Shake Canister ($102) - A shake solution that provides the body with crucial protein nutrients needed to boost energy levels, gain mass, and have a generally healthier body.
  • Yoli Thermo Burn ($57) - A blend of raspberry ketones that helps deliver energy and promote stamina and endurance all while speeding up the body’s metabolism and helping you lose weight.

Sounds awesome, right? Well, hold your horses because there are hundreds, if not thousands of other brands that are offering the same stuff.

Here are some MLMs that sell a similar range of products with Yoli:

All of them are claiming to have a special ingredient that is exclusive to them, which makes them stand out from the others.

But in reality, all of them are just offering the same stuff but just in different names, packaging, and flavors.

Knowing that this is the case with MLMs, then what makes Yoli different, according to them?

Yoli flagship product

Transformation Kits ($340) - A bundle kit that includes all the top products of Yoli which help people lose weight fast, improve energy, and enhance overall health.

Another question many people ask is...

Can you make money with Yoli?

Yes, but it’s hard to make money from Yoli.

But still, there are some that do. It’s just that they work for more than 8 hours a day and treat this as their full-time job, and not a part-time work from home opportunity…

What’s more, is that Yoli doesn’t even have an income disclosure to prove that their members are really earning well!

How to make money with Yoli

There are only 2 ways for you to earn money from Yoli:

  • Sell their health and wellness products at retail prices
  • Recruit more members into the company

However, you can only earn bonuses and commissions from your downline’s sales and not from simply recruiting them.

This is a smart way for MLM such as Yoli to avoid being called a pyramid scheme by the government...

How much does it cost to join Yoli?

You have to pay a number of fees if you’d want to join Yoli:

  • $39.95 - A one-time fee for enrolling on their business subscription kit.
  • $20 - An annual membership fee
  • $9.95 - A monthly fee for subscribing to their marketing website and virtual team office

But it doesn’t end there...

Yoli monthly cost

You must maintain 80 PV monthly if you want to stay as an active member.

And here are the costs you are going to incur in your first year…

  • $70
  • $10 x 12
  • $80 x 12

Minimum costs for year 1 = $1,030

Also, take note that the other costs aren’t yet included there such as training and marketing expenses.

Maintaining 80 PV monthly also isn’t enough for you to be considered as an active member because aside from that, you also need to have a minimum of 2 downline members who also maintain 80 PV monthly.

This means that you need to recruit as many downline members as you can so you can assure that you stay active...

Yoli compensation plan

MLMs have complex and complicated compensation plans. But no need to worry on this one as I will be simplifying things up for you.

Yoli is offering its members 4 main ways to earn money:

  • Retail Profits - Earn 20% to 30% commission from every product that you sell.
  • Fast Start Bonus - Earn a 20% commission once you recruit a new member into the company.
  • Refer 3, Get it Free - Get a free Yoli product bundle once you recruit at least 3 members within 1 month.
  • Luxury Car Program - Get $600 monthly for your car loan.
Is Yoli a Scam: Compensation

Don’t worry if you’re stirred up with all those. Yes, it’s confusing.

And that’s normal for MLMs because they use fancy terms and names so that people and members will think that they’ve got loads of way to earn money even if there are just 2 things they actually need to do.

And these are:

  • Sell their product
  • Recruit members

Here is a 3-minute video discussing their compensation plan...

Or might as well check the full compensation plan here.

Is Yoli a scam?

No. Yoli is not a scam because they are selling legit health products that are effective. They are also paying members exactly as they say.

However, many members are disappointed after a few months of being with the company because they realize that they are just losing instead of earning money due to the sales quota they need to maintain.

The next section of this MLM review is going to dive deeper into that and help you decide if it is or isn’t right for you...

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. What I like about Yoli

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Nice reputation

Yoli has been around since 2009, which is a good sign that the company has the capabilities to last long and ensure that all its processes and operations are proper.

This is rare knowing that most MLM companies don’t last for more than 5 years.

Yoli also doesn’t have any previous issue with the law, so it’s another good sign that they’re doing just well and won’t shut down any time soon.

#2 Positive product reviews

I checked Google and searched for any reviews about their products, and I’m amazed at the number of product reviews I found.

Here’s one of them…

Is Yoli a Scam: Pros

As you can see, this customer is one of the many that left a positive review of Yoli’s products. This means that their products are indeed effective.

What I don't like about Yoli

#1 Expensive products

One of the biggest turnoffs for me is that Yoli is selling overpriced products. Just take a look at some of the other brands out there…

Is Yoli a Scam: Cons

You can clearly see that there are a lot of other health and wellness products that are way cheaper and offer the same effects and benefits as Yoli.

#2 Lacks information

Yoli doesn’t have any income disclosure statement. This might be because they don’t want other people to know that their members aren’t making good money. This isn’t a good thing because it shows that the company isn’t that transparent...

#3 Hidden monthly expenses

You need to sell at least 80 PV every month for you to maintain your membership.

This means that you must sell a minimum of $80 worth of products every month for you to stay active.

#4 Is Yoli a pyramid scheme in disguise?

The fact that you need to spend $80 a month just to stay active, shows that there’s something fishy going on here.

And that’s because you need to recruit as many people as you can so that you can avoid this cost… Yes, you can sell products and earn. But you’ll still lose money if you don’t focus on recruitment.

MLM pyramid scheme

#5 Downward trend

Here is what I found on Google Trends.

yoli_updates

The number of people who are searching for Yoli online is decreasing. I also compared it with another notable MLM called Farmasi, and I can say that Yoli is too behind of the competition.

This shows that you are going to have a hard time selling Yoli’s products because not that many people are interested with it.

I've created a growing passive income online with no previous marketing skills or online experience...

I've made a special video for you to explain exactly how I did this.

MTO Income

My opinion - Yoli

Yoli sells effective health and nutritional products. However, it’s a big turnoff that they’re overpriced.

And talking about their business opportunity?...

The fact that the only legit way you can make some money from this company is if you recruit loads of people just shows that this is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

And you also still do this even if you already know that they’re just going to end up losing money in the end.

In no way does this sound like an ethical business to me because you’re selling the dream of financial freedom and leaving it up to your downlines to know that this isn’t the case...

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...
