What is Max International?

Max International is a Multi-Level-Marketing company based in Utah that sells health and wellness products that are based around glutathione.

The company’s mission is to empower the lives of people and build a legacy that will create a significant change in the lives of the people around them, especially that of their members.

They are also regarded as a “glutathione company” because all of their nutritional supplements are based on glutathione.

Aside from that, the MLM is also considered as one of the leading brands in the research and development of glutathione products.

Here is a 4-minute video that will help you know more about Max International...

Who is Steven Scott?

Steven K. Scott is the founder of Max International. He is an entrepreneur and author of many best-selling books.

He founded the company with the help of Joe Voyticky and Jim Stevralia, who are now serving as the CEO and president of Max International, respectively. Meanwhile, the company’s CFO is Tyler Kent.

Their headquarters is based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Max International was founded back in 2006, and since then has received numerous accreditations, one of the most notable ones being their A+ rating from BBB.

Is Max International a pyramid scheme?

No, Max International is not a pyramid scheme.

This is because the company still has members which can earn money by simply selling their glutathione products without having to recruiting other members.

But if you were to ask me, a better question to that is… is Max International a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company that is promising their members payment if they manage to recruit people into the company instead of selling actual products and services.

Most countries have already labelled companies like these as illegal as not everyone can earn money from a company which only pays for recruitment.

Look at this  Wikipedia diagram to know why...

Moreover, the members who make the most money are those who recruit many people to join this supposed “business opportunity.

But if you were to closely look at the diagram above, you’ll see that it is just impossible for all members to earn as you are just going to run out of members that you can recruit.

Hence, I suggest you learn more about how to know these “pyramid schemes in disguise.”

Here’s a 5-minute video showing just that...

Success is rare with Max International

If you’re asking yourself if you can be successful in Max International, then I’ll say that you can’t.

In fact, it is hard to see success in Max International as 98.72% of Max International are losing money. What’s more is that around 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM agents lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This happens because MLMs have a sales quota which members need to reach for them to stay active and earn money.

If you can’t sell this much products, then you just have to buy them for yourself. This is why hundreds and thousands of members lose huge money before they can recruit a single member.

We’ll be digging deep into the Max International income disclosure later to know more about this...

How does Max International Work?

The company sells health and wellness products, more specifically nutritional supplements that contain glutathione, a chemical which helps improve the overall wellness of the body.

Aside from this, the firm is also offering normal people an opportunity to work from their own homes by becoming agents that sell their products to receive commissions.

It seems a win-win… but Max International saves a ton of money because they let their members do all the hard work on advertising and marketing.

Before seeing if this is really the case, let’s learn if...

Max International products

It is vital to understand what the actual products are if you are really curious and decided to join the company.

This way, you’ll know what you’re doing and what the brand you are carrying is.

Max International sells products which are in the health and wellness industry. All of them are designed to boost the body’s glutathione levels, which in theory should make you healthier. Well, it really does!

Their products are also mostly weight management supplements, dietary supplements, and also a few meal replacement stuff.

Here are some of their products:

  • Cellgevity ($79) - A health supplement that contains prime nutrients which help strengthen the body’s cellular structure. It helps in cell regeneration and improves body detoxification.

  • Switch ($75) - A supplement capsule which aids the body’s metabolism. This aids weight loss in a healthy manner because of its antioxidants.

But take note that there are a multitude of other MLM products out there which offer the same stuff.

The most notable ones are:

All of them claim to be special even if they are just offering the same opportunity, but just in a different package and container!

So, if this is the case, then what makes Max International different?

Max GXL ($69) - Supports the body’s cellular structure and improves organ functions. It also fixes the body’s deteriorating cells, oxidises the bloodstream and gets rid of harmful toxins and chemicals.

So, let's proceed in knowing if...

Can you make money with Max International?

It is hard to make good money from Max International.

There might be some who earn, but it’s just slightly above minimum wage. They also work like full-time sales managers, which is downright exhaustive. And for pay that’s very low?

Aside from that, their income disclosure also shows that there’s just very few people who make commissions from Max International.

How to make money with Max International

There are 2 ways that you can make money from Max International.

You either:

  • Sell their products
  • Recruit members into the company

But take note that you can only earn bonuses from sales of your recruited members and not from directly recruiting them. This is how MLMs like Max International saves themselves from being called a pyramid scheme.

Before going straight to the company’s compensation plan, let’s learn...

How much does it cost to join Max International?

For you to join Max International, you need to pay a one-time subscription fee of $49.

Next is the annual fee worth $25 which you have to pay every year. This is for the maintenance of your virtual office.

Then there’s the Enrollment Pack which contains the products you’re going to sell. This range in price, based on the package you’re going to choose.

The choices are:

  • Personal Package: $150
  • Professional Package: $549
  • Premiere Package: $999

Max International monthly cost

Max International has a sales quota of 100 PV that you have to maintain. 100 PV is worth $100 of products.

The costs for 1 year are...

  • $49
  • $25
  • $150 - $999
  • $100 x $12 = $1,200

Minimum costs for year 1 = $1,424 to $2,273

And this is before adding up all the extra costs of training and expenses you’re going to incur for your travel, food, and gasoline allowance when promoting and selling the products.

Max International compensation plan

Based on the many reviews I did, I discovered one thing, and that all MLM companies have confusing and complicated compensation plans.

And Max International is no different. But there’s no need to worry because I will be explaining them in the simplest and most straightforward of ways.

There are 4 main ways you can earn as a Max International member:

  • Fast Start Income - Earn 10% to 20% bonus for your sales in the first 60 days since enrolling.
  • Preferred Customer Income - Earn 25% in bonuses for every sale made by preferred customers and if you have generated at least 50 PV.
  • Max Living Bonus - Earn $250 to $750 bonus every month once you have reached the Platinum rank.
  • Global Bonus Pool - Earn 1% of the total global sales of the company once you have reached 1000 PV.
Is Max International a Scam: Compensation

I know, you are still confused… well, that’s completely normal with MLMs as they use fancy terms and complicated names just to sound like there are a multitude of ways you can earn from the company.

When what’s really happening is that there are only 2 things for you to do:

  • Sell
  • Recruit

Here is a 15-minute video of their compensation plan if you’d want to learn more about it.

Or maybe just check out their  full compensation plan.

Is Max International a scam?

No, Max International isn’t a scan. The company is selling legitimate products and they also pay members just like what they say in their deal.

But the thing is, many members are annoyed with the false promises that the company keeps on saying where they can become rich just by working part-time in selling their products.

Members discover this isn’t the case after months of staying with the company and realizing that they are losing more money than making...

This is the reason why many have called Max International as a scam. The remaining part of this review will reveal the surprising facts about Max International so you can come up with an informed decision if it’s for you or not.

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. What I like about Max International

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Proven history

Note that only 3 out of 10 MLM companies go past the first 10 year mark.

Well, Max International has been in the industry for more than 14 years as they were founded back in 2006.

Since then, they have been operational and has expanded their products to more glutathione-based products.

Knowing this means that the company won’t be closing down anytime soon. This is also a good sign that Max International isn’t a scam because they weren’t shut down by the FTC.

#2 Positive product reviews

I’ve looked for reviews on the internet about the products of Max International and I’m surprised that they really do work. Here is one that I found…

Is Max International a Scam: Pros

As you can see, they walk their talk and their products really do provide some kind of health benefits.

#3 Backed by scientific studies

Health and wellness companies are everywhere. But that doesn’t mean Max International is one of those lame MLMs. Their products are backed up by scientific and medical claims of actually being effective.

What I don't like about Max International

#1 Expensive products

If MLMs have overpriced products, then that’s a good sign that the firm is a pyramid scheme in disguise. Instead of selling affordable and quality products, their focus is instead on recruiting members...

Is Max International a Scam: Cons

As you can see in the prices of their competitors above, you’ll know that they’re way cheaper than those sold by Max International even if they have the same benefits and also have good positive reviews.

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

Becoming a member means that you need to sell at least $100 worth of products every month to be active and to earn bonuses.

If you can’t, then you won’t earn anything.

Selling $100 worth of Max International products monthly means reaching their quota of 100 PV. You doubt that you can sell this amount of products? Well, you can always buy it for yourself…

This is what usually happens with MLM members because their biggest customers are their agents who just keep on buying their products and hoping that they can get rich soon.

#3 Max International is a pyramid scheme in disguise

Spending $100 monthly just to stay active means that you can pass that burden to other people by recruiting them into your downline.

MLM pyramid scheme

This means that they should sell at least $100 every month. At least it’s not you, right? Well, kidding aside, that is still in no way, ethical...

#4 Only 1 in 119 members earn over $10k a year

If you were to check out the Max International income disclosure, you’ll see that 97.9% of members are earning an annual income of just $539.

Meanwhile, 98.99% of the members are earning $1,607 and having an average expense of $1,202 annually.

Is Max International a Scam: Cons 2

In simpler words, this means that only 1 in 119 members earn over $10k a year.

#4 Downward trend

I checked Max International’s popularity via Google Trends and see that they are actually losing momentum. I even compared it to Farmasi, a well known health and wellness company.

max_international_updates

This means that you are going to have a hard time selling their products because people aren’t anymore searching for the company, which also means there’s less people interested in Max International.

My opinion - Max International

Max International sells good and quality health and wellness products. But if you were to look at the business opportunity, it’s not really that good...

The fact that you need to recruit a lot of people just to make good money means that you’re in a company which disguises itself as a pyramid scheme.

What’s more is that members are just going to lose money in the long run as they have to buy the products themselves. In summary, I can say that this isn’t an ethical business model...

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...
