What is HealX Nutrition?

HealX Nutrition is a Multi-Level-Marketing company that sells CBD products.

It is based in Colorado and was founded just last 2018 by Tom Guilliams and David Brown, who happen to be both medical doctors.

The company is also currently owned by Kulabrands and their products are manufactured by a separate company called Panacea Life Sciences.

What makes this company different is that they cater not only to people because their CBD products can be consumed by both humans and animals.

The company says that their hemp plants which are used for their products are extracted from locally-grown plants and adhere to organic standards. Most of their CBD products are also free from THC and are also certified vegan-friendly.

HealX Nutrition is not a pyramid scheme.

Members of the company can make money by selling their CBD products without having to recruit.

But even if recruitment isn’t clearly the focus here, it is still worth asking… Is HealX Nutrition a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

Companies promising payment to members who manage to recruit more people.

Members are then forced to focus solely on recruitment instead of selling actual products and services for them to earn money. These are already banned by governments around the globe because members can’t earn in the long run knowing that the company only pays for recruitment.

Members making the most money from this company are those who recruit the most number of people.

But again, if you were to look back on the diagram above, you’ll notice that there is no way all members can make money from this system because they are going to run out of members to recruit.

Achieving any kind of success when you are with an MLM is difficult. The same goes to HealX Nutrition.

Statistics state that around 72.5% and 99.9% of MLM members lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This is due to the sales quota these companies have which members need to achieve for them to stay active and get commissions and bonuses.

If they can’t, then they buy the products for themselves just for the same of staying active.

This is why huge money is lost from the personal savings of members before they get their first recruit.

How does HealX Nutrition Work?

HealX Nutrition sells CBD products in the form of capsules, tinctures, oils, gummies, and many more.

They also offer incentives to members who sell their products for commissions. It sounds nice because both parties make money.

But what is really happening here is that HealX Nutrition is just avoiding the huge costs of marketing campaigns as they just let members do all the hard work in promotions and marketing.

If you’d like to try your luck in this company, then it’s best you know what they are selling. This way, you’ll know what you are getting yourself into.

HealX Nutrition’s best selling products are:

  • XPress ($97) - A CBD tablet that helps alleviate anxiety and pain. A bottle consists of 30 tablets with a total dosage of 750 mg.
  • Yummies ($49.95) - Edible CBD tablets that help you deal with stress and anxiety. These are also free from THC, so you don’t have to worry about its intoxicating effects. A bottle consists of a total of 600 mg, with 20 mg. of it being CBD.
  • Canine ($45) - A soft gel capsule that improves the overall health of dogs and makes them less prone to stress and anxiety. Each capsule contains 5 mg of CBD, and each bottle has 30 capsules with a total of 150 mg. of CBD.

It might sound all cool and special.

But it's important to realise that the CBD MLM market is already very saturated. There are tons of companies that offer a very similar product line such as:

This will make it harder to sell these products as there are a lot of companies trying to sell the same thing. 

All of them claim that they are special and have an exclusive formula. But in reality, all they are offering are just rebranded products in different packaging and names.

Heighten ($93) - A dietary supplement that improves the digestive system and overall well being of the user. A bottle contains 30 tablets and has a total of 750 mg. of CBD, with each gel containing 25 mg. of CBD.

So, does this mean...

Can you make money with HealX Nutrition?

Yes, you can. But it’s hard to make money from HealX Nutrition.

Although they might not have a sales quota, the company’s products are already very saturated because there are a lot of other CBD MLMs out there. The products are even expensive.

And they don’t have an income disclosure to show that members are actually making money...

How to make money with HealX

There are 2 ways members can make money from this company.

These are by:

  • Selling their products
  • Recruiting members into the company

Note that members can only make money from the sales that their downlines make and not from merely recruiting them.

This is how the company avoids the authorities from calling them as a pyramid scheme because the recruitment doesn’t happen directly.

How much does it cost to join HealX Nutrition?

You only have to pay a cheap $20 for the annual subscription.

However, you can waive this fee if you manage to sell $200 worth of products in a year.

One nice thing about HealX Nutrition is that they do not have a monthly sales quota, which is very rare for an MLM.

So, this means that the costs you are going to incur on your first year is…

  • $20

But take note that this doesn’t yet include the expenses you are going to incur for the marketing, training, travel, food, gasoline, and many other costs.

MLM companies have confusing compensation plans, and that includes HealX Nutrition.

No need to worry, though, because I am going to do my best to simplify things up for you.

HealX Nutrition has 3 main ways for members to make money:

  • Retail Commissions - Earn 10% to 20% commission from every product that you sell.
  • Residual Commissions - Earn 4% to 18% commission from the sales of your downline members. This depends on the rank and level of your downline members.
  • Affiliate Generational Pool - Be included in the list of members who will divide the 5% of the company’s total monthly sales.

No worries if you are confused with all these.

This is common for MLMs because it is their strategy to come up with fancy terms and names for members to think there are a lot of ways they can make money even if members just have to do these 2 things:

  • Sell products
  • Recruit people

HealX Nutrition is not a scam because they are selling healthy and legitimate CBD products. Members are also paid correctly.

However, some are disappointed whenever they see that they’re not making much money because they sell overpriced products in a saturated market.

This is why they call the company a scam. But this will be further answered and dived deep into in the next section of the review as I’ll show you the pros and cons of this company.

A great thing that I really like about HealX Nutrition is that they are unlike any other MLM because they don’t have a monthly quota.

Good thing HealX Nutrition doesn’t have this, which just proves that there is a higher chance for members to make money, as compared to other MLMs.

#1 Expensive products

HealX Nutrition is selling overpriced products.

HealX does not have an official compensation plan document and income disclosure.

Income disclosures also show that members make money. In this case, we won’t know if they are really making money...

#3 Very new to the market

HealX Nutrition was just launched in 2018.

That is just a minuscule 2 years of operations.

This means that not many people might not know about HealX Nutrition. And note that the average lifespan of an MLM company is just 5 years.

Let’s just hope that HealX Nutrition goes past this crucial stage...

Yes, you can make money by selling their products. But you won’t make good money and lots of it if you don’t recruit.

This also means that you are going to have a difficult time selling their products because not many people are interested in it.

HealX Nutrition sells legal, effective, and legitimate CBD products that improve the overall health of customers.

But the catch is… they are downright expensive and overpriced. And here is what I can say about the business opportunity...

The fact that the only way for you to earn a significant income and money is by recruitment, shows that there is something off and wrong with this company.

What’s more is that you already know that most, if not all, of the members you are getting are just not making good enough money, or worse, not making any money at all.

There are loads of other businesses out there that offer better chances of you to earn lots of money...

What is Bocannaco?

Bocannaco is a Multi-Level-Marketing company that sells hemp oil products.

They say that these have lots of health benefits even if hemp and CBD oil in general are still controversial in the market.

The company was founded by Mark Lammons, Barbara Lammons, Robert Lawrence, and John Daniels in 2018.

They also say that they create the purest form of hemp oil in the market. But is that really the case?

I also just found out that Bocannaco has rebranded their name to Zogena.

We don’t know the reason for that.

Maybe it just sounds better? Or perhaps there’s an underlying issue they’re trying to hide from their brand...

Their members can still earn money by selling their hemp products even if they don’t recruit anyone.

A company which pays members for recruiting people instead of selling products and services.

Many countries have already banned companies which have this structure because not everyone can make money.

The only ones who make good money are the ones at the top. While those below hardly make any. You can even lose money the longer you stay with the company!

All of these brands claim to have a special feature which makes them stand out. But in reality, they’re just offering the same thing!

So, what makes Bocannaco “different?”

The company says that Bocannaco Excalibur, which retails at $149, has “active-driven” terpenes and THC-free hemp ingredients combined with a variety of vitamins and minerals, can help relieve body pains and anxiety.

But then again, its effectiveness isn’t fully proven.

Evidence also suggests that more research needs to be done to prove if it actually has any noticeable benefits to anyone.

Yes, you can. But it’s very hard to make money from Bocannaco.

There might be a few people who are earning, but it’s just slightly higher than minimum wage. And for what? Working like a full-time sales manager?

If that’s the case, then I would just say no… would you?

Bocannaco didn’t even release any income disclosure statement...

How to make money with Bocannaco

There are 2 ways to make money from this MLM:

  • Sell their hemp products to earn commissions
  • Recruit people into the company and earn bonuses

But before diving into the compensation plan, let’s first find out...

How much does it cost to join Bocannaco?

You’ll spend $99 per year to join Bocannaco and become their member distributor.

Aside from that, you also need to purchase their products. The funny thing is, there’s no information on how you can become a distributor.

Perhaps, you can just email support@bocannaco.com. That just doesn’t sound right...

There’s also no information on what you can get if you’re a distributor, except for the usual wholesale price.

Bocannaco compensation plan

MLM companies love to make their compensation plans confusing and difficult to understand. Bocannaco is no different.

But no worries! I’ll try to keep this as simple as possible...

There are 3 ways you can earn money from Bocannaco:

Residual Income

Earn 15% profit for every product you sell. You’ll also earn bonus commissions weekly and monthly based on your personal sales volume.

Sale Bonus

Get a bonus from the sale of your downline member.

You’ll earn more if your downline also has their own “downlines.”

Earn bonuses from the total sales of your entire downline, up to 7 levels deep.

#1 Low cost to start

One of the few things I like about Bocannaco is that you only need to pay $90 for the entire year’s worth of membership.

 That’s not that much if you were to compare it to starting your own restaurant!

#2 Positive product reviews

I also found a number of positive reviews about their products.

What’s better is that these aren’t those regular spammy testimonials. They’re legit and reputable as I traced the person who wrote the reviews.

The products are free from THC, which is the chemical responsible for the “high” feeling you get from cannabis or marijuana.

Their products are also lab-tested, so I guess those are good signs that you can sell their hemp products.

What I don't like about Bocannaco

But as always, the cons outweigh the pros for these so-called MLMs...

#1 Expensive products

Bocannaco sells expensive products — a huge turn off and an obvious red flag that the company is a “pyramid scheme in disguise.”

Their cheapest product is the BocannaCaine Gel priced at $99. The Excalibur and Macy Mask are also priced at $149.95. Then there’s the CannaGize energy drink at $129.

It just doesn’t make sense why you’re going to buy that instead of a cheaper $5 Starbucks coffee or $2 Gatorade that basically does the same thing as those overpriced hemp products.

#2 Lacks information

Another big turnoff for me is the lack of information on how you can become a distributor. This is the only thing in their site that’s related to being a distributor...

It doesn't even mention the word "Bocannaco" because they've just rebranded! You’re going to have a hard time selling their products with this...

#3 Legalization issues

Hemp and CBD in general aren’t yet fully legalized.

In fact, they’re still banned in a number of states!

If this is the case, then how the heck are you going to sell this to as many people as possible?

Not only are you putting yourself at risk of being caught, but you also endanger the safety of your customers!

If you can create a steady traffic to your website from people who are into CBD and hemp, then there’s a chance this could work.

You can also get legit leads to your website anytime and anywhere with actual people buying your product and joining the company.

But there’s another way to do this without you having to sell expensive and overpriced hemp to anyone you meet...

HempWorx is a CBD oil Multi-Level-Marketing company.

It was founded in 2014 and merged with  My Daily Choice in 2017. It has jumped on the Cannabis legalisation bandwagon as it sells hemp based supplements and oils. 

It's also possible for everyday people to make money by selling these products and recruiting more people.

But you're smart enough to know this is just a sales video.

A company that promises payment to its members for recruiting more people into the company rather than selling a product or service.

These are totally illegal in most countries. 

This is because it's impossible for everyone to make money in pyramid schemes as this Wikipedia diagram shows...

Most MLM companies do sell legit products or services. 

However, some MLMs use their product to hide the fact that they are really just a pyramid scheme. This is when the only way to make any decent money and not lose money is by recruiting people. 

Typically these companies have expensive products and monthly sales quotas to hit.

Success is rare with HempWorx

In fact, it's hard to see success in any MLM company.

Did you know that between 73% and 99% of all MLM representatives lose money?

If they don't sell this much then they have to buy the products to remain active.

HempWorx produces CBD related products.

They claim the thing that makes them different to all these other similar companies is that they own their own farmland in the USA. 

It means they know exactly what is put into these products.

CBD oil has some benefits for certain illnesses and diseases such as:

  • Relieving pain
  • Reduce anxiety and depression
  • Alleviate cancer symptoms
  • Reduce acne
  • Ease Parkinson's and epilepsy symptoms
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Reduce diabetes

However, there is very little benefits for everyday people to take this regularly.

Plus, the evidence suggests more research needs to be done to prove any of these benefits. 

The below video is the same as the one above (they really do save their money on marketing!) but it will start at the part about the products if you'd like to learn more about them...

How to make money with HempWorx

This is probably the part you're most interested in!

So we won't hang around...

There are 2 ways you can make money as a HempWorx MLM member:

  1. Sell the products and earn a commission
  2. Recruit more people into the company and earn bonuses from your "downline"

Note- You earn bonuses from your "downline's" sales NOT by just recruiting them.

So before we dive into the compensation plan let's find out...

How much does it cost to join HempWorx?

It costs $20 as a one time fee to become an "affiliate" (often called distributor, ambassador, consultant etc.)

Once you are enrolled you will likely want to purchase a product pack so that you can try some of the products or even potentially sell them on in person.

This will set you back $39-$599.

But the costs do not stop there amigo...

At first glance I really thought that you didn't need to hit any monthly sales quota at HempWorx.

This is always a great signal to me that an MLM company does not work like a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Just look at the compensation plan...

However, when you read the fine print you see this...

Again this seemed to me like you don't "have to" sell a certain amount if you just want to be an affiliate. 

However, after some more digging I found that you do need to sell 40BV (at least $69) every month to remain active and receive any commissions from sales you make.

That means that if you do not sell this in a month you will need to buy it yourself to remain active.

This means the total cost for one year as a HempWorx affiliate is:

  • $20
  • $39-$599
  • $69 x 12

Total potential expenses for year 1 = $887 - $1,447

This is obviously much lower than starting your own bricks and mortar business like a restaurant. But it's also much more than $20!

After some more research I also found this on the income disclosure...

The average annual expenses of an affiliate was actually $1,608. 

So my estimated calculations above actually under exaggerate your costs!

For some reason most MLM companies make their compensation plan harder to understand than solving a rubik's cube blindfolded. 

HempWorx is no different.

So I will try to keep this simple...

There are 8 ways that HempWorx will pay you as an affiliate:

  1. Retail commission (25%)

  3. Binary commissions (see diagram below)
  4. Leadership check matching
  5. Global bonus pool
  6. Rank bonuses (see all ranks below)

Well you honestly don't need to understand all of this to get started. All you need to know is what you need to do to get paid:

What I like about HempWorx

There are genuinely some things that I like about HempWorx. 

I think some of them make this MLM stand out to other similar ones on the market...

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from referring others to the service rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Low cost to start

It will only cost you $20 to join and then a product pack to start promoting HempWorx products. 

So for $59 you can give this a shot and see if it's something you like. 

It's not a lot of money but it is important to remember that if you want to stay active you will need to sell at least $69 worth of products every month. 

If you can't sell this then you'll need to buy it.

#2 Positive product reviews

Some MLMs have loads of obvious spam positive reviews from their MLM members. 

However, it's clear to find some good reviews from real people for HempWorx...

When people write real stories like the ones above it's more likely that they come from genuine people who use and like the products. 

This is another good sign that HempWorx is not a scam.

#3 Marketing materials- landing pages & emails

This is the part that makes HempWorx stand out compared to other MLM opportunities out there for me.

There is a marketing system provided by My Daily Choice as you can see in the video below...

First of all I want to say this...

There is probably some sort of monthly or annual fee for this but I can't find any information about it online. Maybe it is actually free, but I'm afraid I can't say for certain.

Secondly, these "done for you" or "plug and play" systems still need to get visitors or "traffic" to the website aka landing page. 

People don't just stumble across these ready made pages.

So in reality for this to work you need to allow a budget of at least $100 a month for "paid ads" on things like Facebook, Google and YouTube. 

These are all a skill in themselves, just because you pay for an ad it doesn't mean people will actually click it!

But if you can get traffic to these pages and they actually do what they say they do, it's more helpful than a "replicated website" that most MLMs leave you with.

What I don't like about HempWorx

So here are the hidden truths that I believe everyone should know before joining HempWorx...

#1 Expensive products

This is always the first thing I check when I review an MLM company. 

Expensive products combined with a monthly "sales quota" is a HUGE red flag that the company operates like a pyramid scheme in disguise. 

I'll explain why soon, but for now just check this out...

  • HempWork CBD oil = $69/ oz
  • High rated amazon CBD oil = $5- $20 per oz

So HempWorx sells their very similar CBD oil for 200% - 1,000% more than other products. 

These are not some average CBD oils on Amazon but oils that have over 4 stars from thousands of reviews.

Just ask yourself this... 

Why would anyone pay 200% or more for basically the same thing?

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

This is the really sneaky part.

At first I really thought that you could be an "affiliate" and not have to hit any monthly sales quota...

But on further investigation into the compensation plan I found this...

I still thought... oh maybe they just don't earn bonuses from their downline and they can still earn commission from sales, which isn't too bad. 

But then I found these on the Better Business Bureau...

It appears that if you do NOT sell 40BV ($69) worth of products a month your commission goes to someone else that is "active".

When you combine these two points together you can start to see why...

#3 HempWorx is a pyramid scheme in disguise

If you need to keep spending $69 a month to remain active, there is only one way you can make sure it's not you that keeps losing $69 on overpriced hemp oil each month...

And that is to recruit some people under you.

Then you can guarantee that they will need to sell $69 worth of products (or more likely they'll have to buy this amount!... but at least it won't be you ey?!... that's a bad joke by the way)

Even if you still don't think HempWorx sounds like a pyramid scheme in disguise from this, then some of these hidden truths add up to something a bit fishy...

  • 7 out of 8 ways you get paid require you to recruit some people
  • The only way to move up the ranks is to recruit people
  • Every sales video or compensation plan has a chart or picture similar to the one above

Let's get this straight right now...

HempWorx is NOT a pyramid scheme.

But you have to agree that HempWorx is very similar to a pyramid scheme in disguise. 

#4 Low income potential

Here's the hard facts...

0.38% of HempWorx distributors earn more than $15,891 on average per year.

Put another way...

1 in 300 members make over $15k in a year.

Because the numbers above only includes "active affiliates". So all of the people that join and do not hit the $69 monthly sales quota are not included in these stats.

#5 No training on how to get traffic

This is the biggest concern for me. 

Anyone new to internet marketing will see that video about the marketing materials and think...

"Ah, amazing this is how I can really scale my "online business" with HempWorx."

But here's the truth...

That whole funnel will not work unless you get "traffic" to the sales page.

The only way you can do that is by messaging people directly (which defeats the point of the online thing) or by paying to place ads to get traffic there. 

I only know this because I fell for these kind of sales tactics before and realised that without visitors these "done for you funnels" are useless.

Since then, I've learnt how to get traffic to my websites for free every month...

#6 Downward trend

The final nail in the coffin for HempWorx is this chart from Google trends...

If you can create an online business and drive traffic to your website from people that are interested in CBD oil, then it could work.

You could get "qualified leads" to your website 24/7 and chances are some people would buy the products or be interested in joining the MLM company. 

But there are ethical ways to do this without having to sell overpriced hemp oil to unsuspecting victims...

After all, it comes from the cannabis plant so there is still this grey area around the legality of the products in certain states and countries.

It's important to understand that CBD oil contains a tiny trace (less than 0.3%) of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the part of cannabis that gives people the high. Whereas, Marijuana contains around 20% THC. 

It's been proven that CBD oil has great benefits for certain illnesses and diseases such as:

  • Relieving pain
  • Reduce anxiety and depression
  • Alleviate cancer symptoms
  • Reduce acne
  • Ease Parkinson's and epilepsy symptoms
  • Reduce blood pressure
  • Reduce diabetes

So let's dive straight in.

There are 2 ways you can earn money as a CTFO associate:

  1. Sell their products to make 30% commission
  2. Recruit people into the company and earn bonuses from the sales they make

It's important to note that you do not make money directly from recruiting people into the company. You only get bonuses from the sales of your "downline". 

But since every "associate" needs to spend $47.47 a month, you can see that the more people you recruit the more income and bonuses you make. 

How much does it cost to join CTFO?

It's completely FREE!...

Or is it?...

But realistically you will need to buy some products so that you can test them and market them to people you meet. 

So it's recommended that you buy a "business builder pack" when you join...

It actually also costs you at least $47.47 a month on products. Once you recruit 10 people into the company then you don't need to pay for this any more.

So in reality the total cost for 1 year:

  • $299.97-$1,299.97
  • $47.47 x 12

Total cost for a year = $869.61 - $1,869.91

Whilst this is far less than starting a normal bricks and mortar business, it is certainly NOT free to become a CTFO associate.

Here are the only 5 ways you will get paid as a CTFO associate...

  1. Retail Income (30% commission)
  2. Unilevel Commissions - bonus for your downline sales (5 levels deep - 20% or 4% depending on your downline positions)
  3. Matrix Commissions - more bonuses from downline sales (21 levels deep 1% bonus)
  4. Profit Sharing Positions In The Matrix (PSP’s) - only 3 people below you in the matrix 
  5. Infinity pay bonus and the Top Gun bonus - more bonuses from your downline

But that still is pretty confusing, right?

It's OK, I'm here to make it simple...

You don't need to know any of this! The only thing you need to know when you start is that you make money in 2 ways:

  1. Sell products
  2. Recruit people

And you can only sell so many overpriced products to your friends and family, so the reality is you will need to recruit a lot of people to make any decent money.

To be totally honest, even this one was a bit biased...

CTFO negative review is it a scam?

Independent review websites such as BBB or Consumer reports these reviews were lacking in any depth or detail. 

I found a few on individual review sites but anyone can leave a review here (such as CTFO associates). 

The screenshot about seemed to be a pretty legit one so it's good to hear that the products have helped some people.

But do you see that CBD oil isn't really needed for most people without "inflammation" or some kind of illness or disease?

OK, here are some of the hidden truths I uncovered from researching CTFO.

I think everyone should be aware of these before joining and then that way at least your eyes are "wide open"...

#1 Expensive products

This is always the first thing I check when I research MLM companies. It's the BIGGEST red flag for any MLM company. 

First of all just ask yourself this...

Why would anyone pay 100% or more for a very similar product? (or even arguably worse product)

The reason is simple... 

They wouldn't... 

Unless they have to (aka CTFO associates... they need to buy $47.47 of products every month).

  • CTFO CBD oil = $119.97 per oz
  • Highly rated Amazon CBD oil = $5-$20 per oz

CTFO CBD oil is 500%-2,000% more expensive than highly rated CBD oil on Amazon.

I know it's not all the same, but it just goes to show that good quality CBD oil can be picked up for a fraction of the price elsewhere. 

I don't know about you, but my conscience wouldn't let me sell 1,000% more expensive products to my own Mom or best friend! 

#2 Monthly sales quota

When you combine this with the above point it really raises concerns.

This is the exact reason why up to 99% of MLM recruits lose money. 

The monthly sales quota combined with ludicrous prices means that most associates are hundreds of dollars out of pocket before they even make one sale. 

This also leads onto...

#3 Is CTFO a pyramid scheme in disguise?

When your sales pitch to people becomes...

"You may as well join the company because you get 30% discount on the products AND you could make some pocket money"

instead of...

"This is genuinely the best CBD oil I have tried and you'll find it hard to find anything for a better price"

You have to admit that alarm bells are ring-ding-a-linging!

I mean just check out this screenshot from the compensation plan video above...

Does that shape look familiar?

If this isn't enough add in these factors:

  • 4 out of 5 ways you can make money requires you to recruit people
  • You keep paying $47.47 a month... until you recruit 10 people
  • The only way to make passive income is if you recruit people that can sell more products

Now don't get me wrong, CTFO is NOT A PYRAMID SCHEME!

They have worked very hard to make sure they used the correct wording and loopholes to make that happen. 

But I think anyone would find it hard to disagree that CTFO is very similar to a "pyramid scheme in disguise".

#4 Not transparent- no income disclosure

Most MLM companies openly disclose how much their associates make. 

For some reason CTFO doesn't...

Any business targeting disabled people on social media and not open and transparent about their methods is a company that I want to avoid.

#5 Downward trend

This is the final nail in the coffin for me. 

You probably know that the most successful MLM recruits are the ones that "get in early" whilst the company is in a "momentum phase". 

It's safe to say CTFO is not in this phase any more...

Although if you really wanted to help them you'd find a better priced alternative and show that to them!

Funny enough, there are actually people that do earn money by doing exactly that...

What is hempSMART?

hempSMART is an MLM company and subsidiary of the Marijuana Company of America (MCOA), which is a company based in Escondido, California.

They sell various CBD-based health and nutritional supplements such as drops,oils, capsules, and topicals.

Aside from their products, they also offer Business Development Packs for their members, which they call as their affiliates or representatives.

I also found out that even if they’re headquarters are in California, they still sell products worldwide, with their global target market being the UK.

They even have an office in Manchester, England, which I believe is a backup support in case their main office in the US gets shut down knowing that CBD isn’t yet widely regulated and affirmed by the government.

But what makes hempSMART different from other companies is that their products can be purchased by members at special and discounted wholesale prices instead of the regular retail prices.

Members then sell these products to the market at retail prices.

Affiliates can also recruit members and build their own downlines to earn more (more on this later).

Who is Donald Steinberg?

Donald Steinberg is the CEO and founder of hempSMART. He runs the company together with his close friend and associate, Ian Harvey, who serves as hempSMART’s global sales director.

Donald also founded the Marijuana Company of America in 2015.

He still runs his company up until now and is planning to expand it more overseas while improving the reputation of CBD and cannabis in general to the mainstream market.

Is hempSMART a pyramid scheme?

Technically no, hempSMART is not a pyramid scheme because distributors can still earn money by selling their products.

However, hempSMART has a lot of similarities with pyramid schemes in disguise.

Let me explain what I mean by this...

What is a pyramid scheme?

A company which pays members to recruit more people into the company instead of selling products or services.

Check out the Wikipedia diagram below to see why it's impossible for everyone to make money inside a pyramid scheme...

And like most MLMs, hempSMART does indeed offer real products that have health benefits even if most don’t have any therapeutic claims (at least they’re effective based on customer testimonials, though!).

But take note that if the products are very expensive and the focus is on recruiting instead of selling to earn good money, then it’s very likely that this is a “pyramid scheme in disguise.”

It has been proven time and time again that you can’t make good money in an MLM. What’s worse is that you can even lose money, just like what a recent study states where between 73% and 99% of all MLM members lose money.

And based on the looks of it, I can easily tell that this is because their members aren’t really making good money! Or even losing money...

How does hempSMART Work?

hempSMART is an MLM company selling CBD products.

And for the company to save money on marketing and advertising campaigns, they get everyday people to promote and sell their products.

These everyday people who most likely don’t have any sales or marketing background get the opportunity of making money on the side.

It sounds like a win-win, eh?

But hold your horses because there’s more to it than that...

It helps improve brain health and function, which supposedly can make you smarter. It also says that it helps you to remember details easily while also improving your focus.

This can be applied to the skin to reduce inflammation from allergies, as well as hydrate and rejuvenate the skin (and make you look younger?).

This is another pain reliever, but unlike the capsulized version, this one comes in the form of a cream which you simply have to apply on the part which aches or where you feel pain. It contains CBD, terpenes, and CBG.

It is important to realise that the CBD MLM market is already very saturated. There are tons of companies that offer a very similar product line such as:

This will make it harder to sell these products as there are a lot of companies trying to sell the same thing. 

So you may be asking yourself...

Can you make money with hempSMART?

You can make around 10% to 30% commission on anything that you sell.

But you need to plan ahead on how many CBD products you can sell to your friends and family monthly so you don’t end up paying for it just to retain your membership.

The very few people (less than 5%) in MLMs that make good money recruit lots of people and act like sales managers.

This means that they’re not just doing the selling on the side but they treat it as a full-time job! You even have to aggressively encourage people and do your best to help your downline just to sell more.

Plus, you need to be really “extroverted” and have some professional sales experience to earn any money from this MLM...

Here’s a fact that most MLMs and recruiters won’t tell you…

If you’re planning to make money on the side and work just a few hours weekly — then you won’t make any money!

How to make money with hempSMART

There are two ways you can make money from hempSMART, which is common for any MLM company:

  • Sell hempSMART products
  • Recruit people and build a downline to get bonuses and incentives

You won’t get paid directly for recruiting people. You instead will earn from the bonuses from the sales coming from your downlines.

Why? Because that’s how hempSMART, and many MLMs avoid being labelled as an outright pyramid scheme and bring shut down!

I’ve created a clear explanation of the company’s compensation plan.

But before we proceed to that, you’re probably wondering...

How much does it cost to join hempSMART?

There are three options when joining hempSMART:

  • Associate Registration Pack worth $49
  • Fast Track Registration Pack (250 mg) worth $99
  • Fast Track Registration Pack (500 mg) worth $129

Associate

Avail the Associate Registration Pack worth $49 to become an official associate. You gain a 15% discount when buying hempSMART products, which you can eventually sell at retail price.

This lets you recruit more members to the company and include them in their downline — which again, is normal for any MLM.

Becoming an associate also means that you’re qualified to get the rewards and compensation for your sales and downline bonuses. You’ll also have your own replicated hempSMART website, which is an ecommerce store where people can order from you.

There's also free business training and access to the exclusive and members-only app and resource library, as well as technical support.

But you don’t have any products to sell.

That’s what separates this start pack from the more advanced Fast Track option.

Fast Track 250 mg.

You get all the perks present in the Associate registration pack, plus a 250 mg Full Spectrum Mint Drops and Full Spectrum Strawberry Drops.

Fast Track 500 mg.

If you’ve got the money and you’re willing to risk to increase your chances of earning more soon, then you can go for the Fast Track 500 mg option.

I’ve noticed that most, if not all MLMs have confusing compensation plans, that there are times I realize it’s easier to solve a Rubik’s cube blindfolded!

hempSMART is no different.

So, I’ll do my best to keep this simple and easy to understand. There are 3 ways to earn money:

  • Retail Sales (10% to 30% profit)
  • Downline Commissions
  • Bonuses

Retail Profits

You can buy hempSMART products at a discounted price, which is 10% to 30% lower depending on your rank. You can then earn a 10% to 30% profit from every sold product.

Downline Commissions

You earn commissions from your recruited downlines. The amount of commission you get depends on your rank.

PQV refers to Personal Qualified Volume, which is the amount of products you’ve sold monthly. GCV refers to Group Qualified Volume, which is the number of products sold by your group/downline monthly. You need to maintain those figures for you to remain or upgrade in rank.

Bonuses

No, hempSMART isn’t a scam. The company offers real and legitimate products. They also pay their affiliates properly.

However, aside from selling their products, members need to focus on recruiting more people to include in their downlines to earn good money.

This makes many people skeptical about the company because it’s like a pyramid scheme in disguise because of its focus on recruitment instead of selling.

There are a number of things that I really like about hempSMART if I were to compare it to the other MLMs that I did deep research about...

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from referring others to the service rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Low registration fee

Most MLMs cost more than $1,000 to start. That isn’t the case with hempSMART because you have 3 options.

You either choose the $49, $99, or $129 starter pack. It’s a good sign that hempSMART is not a scam as they are confident that their products will sell and they don’t have to overprice it just to get money.

#2 Healthy products

The CBD products they offer have health benefits such as helping relieve pain, inflammation, and can even smoothen out the skin thanks to their rejuvenating features.

What I don't like about hempSMART

One of the biggest downturns to MLMs is that they have some hidden truths that they don't want to show to people. And unfortunately, these people won't know about them until they join.

If you know the real deal with MLMs like hempSMART, then you could prepare for these challenges ahead...

#1 Lacks income disclosure

hempSMART’s income disclosure is nowhere to be found.

Perhaps, they intentionally did this because their members aren't making enough money, which isn’t surprising for an MLM.

#2 CBD market is saturated

Selling CBD products is becoming more difficult because the number of MLM companies selling CBD is increasing. And what about MLMs? They’re downright aggressive in selling!

So, does this mean...

Can you make money with Touchstone Essentials?

Yes, you can make money from Touchstone Essentials. But it’s difficult.

First off, is that the few people who manage to make a few bucks are extroverts who exhaust their energies in recruiting as many people as they can even if they already sound funny.

Second is that the amount of money they make can be compared to minimum wage.

What’s worse is that most of the time, it’s even lower than minimum wage!

Touchstone Essentials doesn’t even have an income disclosure for other people to see if their members really do make money.

How to make money with Touchstone Essentials

To make money from this MLM, you need to do these 2 things:

  • Sell their CBD products
  • Recruit members into this CBD company

But you can only get bonuses from the sales of your recruited downline members and not from just recruiting them.

How much does it cost to join Touchstone Essentials?

You must pay $20 for the annual subscription fee.

And aside from that, you also have to buy a starter pack that comes in 3 different options:

  • Detox Super Pack ($130)
  • Transform Pack ($150)
  • Advantage Pack ($660)

The best choice here is the most expensive one because you get bigger discounts on this and get more products.

Plus, the bonuses that come with it are also higher.

Touchstone Essentials monthly cost

Members must maintain 100 PV monthly to stay active. And staying active means receiving bonuses and commissions.

Here are the costs you are going to get in your first year…

  • $130 to $660
  • $100 x 12

Minimum costs for year 1 = $1,350 to $1,880

Note, though, that the costs for training, marketing, gasoline, and many more, are not yet included there.

So that means you are going to spend way more than what is stated here...

Touchstone Essentials compensation plan

MLM companies always have complicated compensation plans that just confuse members and wannabe members.

That’s no different with Touchstone Essentials because they also have one confusing compensation plan. But I’ll simplify them for you...

Touchstone Essentials offers 5 main different ways for members to make money:

  • Residual Commissions - Earn 5% to 7% commission from your downline sales. This is going to depend on their rank and level.
  • Retail Sales - Earn 10% to 20% commission every time you sell a product.
  • Referral Bonus - Earn 5% to 25% commission once your recruited member buys their first product pack. This depends on your rank and level.
  • Team Builder Bonus - Get $150, $300, or $600 if you get promoted to regional manager, national manager, or director, respectively.
  • Star Bonus Program - Earn a $500 to $75,000, or even a Tesla Model S if you reach massive quotas. This only applies to executive levels.

However, most members are annoyed with the fact that they don’t earn enough money and they even lose money because of sales quotas. Hence, they resort to calling the company a scam.

#2 Established reputation

The average lifespan of MLMs is 5 years.

But Touchstone Essentials went past that because they started operating in 2012. That’s a full 8 years of continuous operations.

This means that the chances that the company will shut down anytime soon is very low...

What I don't like about Touchstone Essentials

#1 Expensive products

Touchstone Essentials sells expensive and overpriced CBD products.

Just take a look at some of the other brands in the market:

As you can see, they are way cheaper and also have high ratings.

This shows that there is a huge likelihood that customers are going to choose other brands over the products being sold by Touchstone Essentials because they are expensive.

#2 Saturated market

The CBD market is already very saturated because there are a lot of other MLM companies out there that sell CBD products.

In fact, this, along with health and wellness products are among the most common MLM companies.

This means that you have to compete with all of the other brands, which is basically just difficult for you.

#3 No income disclosure

MLMs must have an income disclosure to prove that their members make money.

But there’s none in Touchstone Essential’s case.

Maybe their members don’t make enough money and the company doesn't want others to know about it, or they just don’t care if they don’t have one.

#4 Hidden monthly expenses

Members should sell 100 PV monthly for them to retain their active status.

Doing so, then lets them avail the commissions and bonuses. Selling 100 PV also means selling at least $100 worth of products monthly.

If you cannot do this, then you buy them yourself. That’s if you still want to become an active member and get the commissions.

A fact that MLMs don’t want their members to know is that their members are considered as their biggest market because they always buy their stuff in the hope of making lots of money.

#5 Is Touchstone Essentials a pyramid scheme in disguise?

Members are most likely going to spend $100 a month just to stay active. However, they can avoid that by recruiting members.

Here is how their system works…

This saves them the hassle and burden because they will then just wait for their downline members to sell the products and get passive commission from them.

With this, it’s not hard to see that the only and legit way to stay active is by means of recruitment.

Hence, Touchstone Essentials is surely a pyramid scheme in disguise...

#6 Downward trend

I always refer to Google Trends whenever I do MLM reviews. This way, I’ll see if the company is actually popular and interests a lot of people.

Many attest to the effectiveness of their products as well.

But they are overpriced and their business opportunity is...

The only way to make money is by recruitment. And you do this even if you know that the recruited members are just going to lose money.

This just is not right because you sell the dream of financial prosperity and freedom even if you know this is not the case.

There are a number of other better business opportunities out there that can help you make good money...

What is Emris International?

Emris is a health and wellness Multi-Level-Marketing company.

They claim to be a “direct sales” company, but they’re not really… because they pay distributors commissions for sales in their downline.

Basically, you are getting paid to recruit more people into the company, therefore, it is an MLM.

MLM’s are not all scams, by the way, they just have a pretty low success rate.

The company focuses on selling CBD/ hemp oil plus it has a range of other health and wellness products.

Now, I can almost hear your mind asking…

Is Emris International a pyramid scheme?

Technically… no.

Emris International pays distributors a commission of every sale they make for their products.

Basically, if someone clicked on a link on your website (which the company would provide you with) you would earn a commission from any purchases they make.

This is very similar to affiliate marketing, which is another type of business model, that I personally use to make money from home. However, there isn’t any training in how you can get people to look at your website.

No visitors = no clicks on the links = no money made.

The issue is, with most MLMs, you can only make good money by recruiting more people into the company.

And Emris International is the same in reality.

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is when a company recruits members by promising them payment for recruiting more members.

They are illegal in almost all countries in the world nowadays.

The reason is that there aren’t enough people in the world for everyone to achieve success or make money from them.

Most MLM companies require you to recruit at least 6 people to make enough money to work from home.

However, if everyone did this, the world would run out of people just 13 levels deep. If an MLM has been running for many years then chances are it will already be more than 13 levels deep (but hardly anyone actually manages to recruit 6 members).

There is already a range of products at Emris International and it only started in 2019.

Some of the main categories include:

  • Hemp/ CBD oil ($79-$99)- An isolate of cannabis with supposedly a lot of health benefits. People think it’s so on-trend right now!
  • Nutrition and supplements ($74)- helps immune system and digestion etc.
  • Weight management ($62) – pills that do what it says (apparently)
  • Skincare products ($86-$162) – cleanser, creams and anti-ageing products

How to make money with Emris

Like most MLM companies, there are 2 main ways you can earn money from Emris International:

  1. Commission from direct sales of products
  2. Bonuses from sales your downline makes (either themselves or sales they make)

Most compensation plans try to complicate this, but when you boil it down this is how you will make money.

Before we delve into it…

How much does it cost to join Emris?

You will need to pay $49 for a business kit.

But it’s not as simple as that…

Emris International Ambassador

This gives you one year as an ambassador of Emris International.

That is what gives you access to be a “direct seller” and get a commission from sales you make (remember… you get a website that people can purchase from, it’s not like you need to go out the house and haggle with people!)

Emris International Brand Ambassador

If you want to be a “Brand Ambassador” you will need to maintain a minimum of 80 PCV (Personal commissionable Volume) for the last 5 weeks.

This gives you extra perks and bonuses.

80PCV equals around $80. So if you don’t sell $80 of products yourself in 5 weeks… you will need to purchase $80 of products every 5 weeks!

If you want to be eligible for the “binary compensation plan” which can provide residual income, then you will need to have 2 active Brand Ambassadors that you have recruited to the company (“one on each leg”).

Judging by the stats and facts alone, chances are you will lose money if you join this company as a distributor.

However, you can use the duplicated website to “drive traffic” and make product sales without having to recruit anyone to the company.

If you know how to use Facebook/ Google ads and a have a bit of social media presence then it’s certainly possible to make some money.

You will need to learn more about online marketing if you want to make money. And you won’t get the best training from Emris International on how to do this.

This is a huge positive for any MLM company.

If they have some legit products and you can earn a decent commission from selling them, then it’s possible to make money.

#2 Good leadership

The leadership team has over 50 years of business experience.

  • Aspen Emry, the CEO, has over 15 years of experience in direct selling.
  • Ilean Harris puts together the systems to grow and scale a business.
  • Matthew Harris has the experience of growing up in a 3rd world country who has transformed his life from direct selling.

Is Emris International a Scam? The Team

You can tell the corporate team is hungry for success and they have a clean record without and lawsuits or legal battles in their history (yet… they are still relatively young!)

#3 Possible to get in early

The company only started in 2019.

The best thing about this for MLM companies is that you have the chance to get in early still.

Some of the more well known MLM programs are usually pretty useless to join as the money has already been made.

If Emris takes off and you’re there near the start, you could piggyback off their success.

Emris International: The hidden truths

Here are some of the bad parts of Emris International that you should be aware of…

#1 Crowded market & CBD oil losing a trend

The health and wellness industry is just so crowded.

There are so many similar MLM companies that I have previously reviewed, such as:

But this isn’t my main concern about Emris International.

Just take a look at the trend of Hemp oil and CBD oil recently…



It’s on a massive downward spiral!

People are simply not searching for it as much anymore and you can see the direction it is going.

That means Emris’s unique selling point is actually one of the worst-selling points about joining this MLM.

#2 Expensive products

This could easily have been the number one hidden truth, but I think the graph above sums up the whole Emris International opportunity.

Saying that, when you see a big price difference in MLM companies products that is a big red flag.

It means the company is not really trying to sell their products, but the MLM opportunity.

So having the website and a decent commission shows they are trying to put an emphasis on selling the products (what the best legit MLM companies do), the price of their products tells a different story.

Is Emris International a Scam?

Compare Amazons $1.37/ Fl Oz to Emris’s $74/ Fl oz.

That is a 5,000%+ markup in a comparison.

Who in their right mind would choose that?

I’ll tell you who… someone who’s desperate to quit their day job and willing to try a “work from home” program, therefore is willing to spend silly money on a random product.

And there’s the issue…

The people you are trying to sell to are not raving customers…

But people desperate to work from home that they’ll give the product a go to see if they can make money.

And when they don’t make money, this happens…

#3 MLM’S success rate (1%)

They quit!

The FTC released an article showing that 99% of distributors lose money.

To me, it’s pretty disgusting that people sell this dream to people who are desperate to believe them, even though they know the chance of success is so small.

#4 No sign of growth despite being new

So one of the last things that Emris has going for it is that it’s a new company.

Well, Google trends to the rescue once more…



Compare this to another company that only started in the US in 2019 and you can see they are not really growing at all!

There’s no need to make something so complicated!

It’s to disguise the fact that the main way to make money is by recruiting more people.

It seems like there are all these ways to make money, whereas, in reality, it’s by doing one thing…

Recruiting more people aka pestering your friends and family.

The only way you won’t be required to do that is if you know how to drive traffic to a website with ads on Google or Facebook.

The thing is… there are other ways to get traffic to a website.

And this is the skill that the 1% of successful MLM distributors learn how to do.

What is 18k Ronaldinho?

18k Ronaldinho is a Multi-Level-Marketing that sells digital watches. However, they also are offering the arbitration and trading of cryptocurrencies.

It was founded by Marcelo Lara back in 2015, with the name 18k Watches. However, after 2 years, it changed its name after opening its own shopping center kiosks.

It was then the time when Ronaldinho, a famous retired Brazilian football star, entered the scene and endorsed the products.

It was an effective marketing scheme for Lara back then, but it was short lived as all it did was use Ronaldinho as an endorser of the product.

Rebranding

This then prompted him to change the company’s direction and rebranded it all the way in 2019 to 18k World Trading and Criptoativos.

But still, they’re still selling the same watches, but with the added offering of cryptocurrency service assets through their own Digital Academy of Money.

It’s also worth noting that the company’s base is in The Bahamas. However, their watch factory is located in Hong Kong.

Their LinkedIn page also says that their base is in Sao Paolo, Brazil, which is kind of confusing.

Yes, there are a lot of signs that 18k Ronaldinho is a pyramid scheme.

First off, is that the main focus of their members is to recruit people so that they can earn.

Yes, they sell watches and offer crypto services, but the information on them is just so confusing that it seems like just a cover up stage for their main focus, which is recruitment.

What’s more, is that the Brazilian Federal Prosecution Service is already in a further investigation of the company due to the alleged claims that it is a scam.

But despite that, it’s still worth asking… Is 18k Ronaldinho a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is a company that offers monetary payment to their members who manage to recruit people into the company.

This is the sole and main focus instead of creating and selling legitimate products and services.

Countries all around the globe have already considered these as illegal because everyone can’t earn any sustainable income from a company which is only paying solely for recruitment.

It sounds like a win-win situation, but if you were to look closely, 18k Ronaldinho saves a lot of money because they don’t have to start or maintain any marketing campaign.

Instead, they just let their members do all of the marketing. I know, it’s a wise strategy.

It is necessary that you know what the products this company is selling. This way, you’ll know what you’re getting yourself into if ever you do decide to become one of their members.

18k Ronaldinho sells primarily digital sports watches. Not much is known about it because they don’t advertise it that much. But here’s their best-selling model:

In fact, you’re going to have a hard time seeing this as a stable source of income.

In fact, its members don't make more than minimum wage even if they work for more than eight hours per day.

To make the most out of your membership, you need to spend at least $2,100 to $12,000, which is just an awful amount of money!

No way would I or neither you pay just for a membership for this company...

#2 Lack of information

18k Ronaldinho doesn’t have any income disclosure, which is a sign that they might be hiding something.

They also don’t have an official compensation plan document, except for the one that’s found in YouTube.

Although that can be counted as one, it still isn’t enough to prove the legitimacy of the company, knowing that they don’t have an official copy of their compensation plan in their website.

There’s a ton of negative reviews out there about their digital watches…

First off is their product, a digital sports watch which initially looks good, but has quality issues.

Second is their expensive subscription packages. And finally, is the depressing business opportunity

Frankly speaking, this is what I can say about their presented business opportunity...

You can only make good money if you recruit many people, which is entirely wrong especially that you know all of your recruited members are just going to lose money.

There are a lot of better MLMs out there that present more interesting compensation plans and opportunities for you to earn big...

Damsel in Defense is a Multi-Level-Marketing self-defense company that manufactures self-defense weapons that range from stun guns, pepper sprays, and personal alarms.

They also develop and sell safety accessories such as breakaway lanyards, RFID wallets, and striking tools.

It was founded back in 2012 by Jimmy Lin and Mindy Lin. Jimmy is the CFO of the company while Mindy is the CEO. Their headquarters is located in Jacksonville, Texas.

Their mission is to provide safety not only for women, but for men and children alike. And what sets them apart from other safety products is that they create ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing self defense weapons and products.

They are also most likely the only self-defense MLM there is.

To be honest, if you do not use the products yourself or understand them, then there's not much point in thinking about joining because you are going to have to sell these... a lot!

There are some who make money that is comparable to minimum wage, but they work for more than 8 hours a day, much like a full-time job.

The company also offers normal people an opportunity to work from home by selling their products and getting commissions. Sounds like a win-win situation, eh?...

But there’s a catch, and that is Stella & Dot saving millions of dollars in marketing and advertising campaigns because they just let their members do all the promotion and hard work.

It’s important that you know the products that Stella & Dot is selling before you decide joining the MLM.

You should also be prepared to take the risk. If possible, it would even be better that you try the products yourself so you can somehow increase your chances of success.

All of them also say that they have something special that’s why they stand out from the others. But in fact, they are just offering the same opportunity.

It is hard to make good money inside Stella & Dot. There might be a few people who make some money, but it’s just slightly higher than minimum wage.

These people are also extroverted and they exhaust their energy recruiting anyone they meet and all they know.

It’s just like working as a full-time sales manager without any assurance of success.

Their income disclosure also shows that 96.6% of members earn less than $10,600 a year which is way below the minimum wage.

How to make money with Stella & Dot

There are 2 ways that you can make money from Stella & Dot:

  • Sell their fashion products
  • Recruit people into the company and let them sell the products

Note that you can only earn from the bonuses of your downline’s sales and not solely from recruitment.

How much does it cost to join Stella & Dot?

There are 3 subscription options you can choose from if you want to join Stella & Dot.

  • Essentials Kit ($350)
  • More To Love Kit ($499)
  • Ultimate Kit ($699)

The Essentials kit includes basic items that are in the low-tier price category such as regular bags, clothes, and necklaces.

The More to Love Kit includes mid-range items, while the Ultimate Kit has all the premium items including their flagship product which I’ll be discussing later on.

Stella & Dot monthly cost

Stella & Dot also has a quarterly sales quota of 500 PV, which means a monthly quota of 167 PV.

What this means is that you need to sell at least 167 PV or around $170 worth of items every single month to stay active.

If you cannot then you can either buy it for yourself, or sacrifice your active status, thus rendering you unable to receive commissions.

The costs for 1 year are…

  • $350 - $699 x12
  • $500 x 4

Minimum costs for a year is $6,200 - $10,388.

And this is before you add up the other costs such as training, marketing, gas, and other miscellaneous expenses.

The thing with MLMs is that they always make their compensation plans confusing. Well, Stella & Dot is no different…

No worries, though, as I’ll try to keep this straightforward and simple…

There are 3 ways that Stella & Dot will pay you as one of their members:

Retail Commissions

Earn 25% commission if you can sell 500 PV every 3 months. This increases to 30% for every 2500 PV sold quarterly and 35% for every 10,000 PV respectively.

Residual Commissions

Earn 3% to 10% commission bonuses depending on your rank and current level.

Smaller Bonuses

Earn a variety of bonuses such as generation, rank achievement, and star maker.

For sure you’re confused with all that. Well, these MLMs use fancy terms and complicated acronyms so that members will see that there seems to be loads of ways to make money.

When the fact is, there are only 2 ways that you can do:

  • Sell their products
  • Recruit people

No, Stella & Dot is not a scam. The MLM company sells legit and real products and they pay their members like what they say they will.

However, some members are disappointed when they realize they’re losing more money instead of earning. This is why there are some that might call the company a scam.

A fun fact would be knowing that 1 out of 3 MLM companies go beyond their first 10 years.

Well, Stella & Dot has been around since 2003. So, that means a full 16 years. Thus, it’s safe to say that this won’t be gone tomorrow or anytime soon just like other companies out there.

It’s also a great sign that Stella & Dot haven’t encountered any FTC shutdown issues.

What I don't like about Stella & Dot

#1 Hidden monthly expenses

Did you remember seeing that members must sell 167 PV every month or 500 PV every 3 months just to stay active. Sad to say that this just makes no sense.

167 PV means that you need to sell more than $170 worth of items every single month.

If you can’t, then you buy them yourself to be eligible to earn commissions.

Here’s the truth that many people don’t know…

Stella & Dot’s biggest client base is their members who just keep buying their stuff and hoping that someday soon, they’re going to be their own boss.

#2 Is Stella & Dot  a pyramid scheme in disguise?

If you must spend more than $167 every month just to stay active, then there is only one way that you can do to avoid losing $167 monthly.

And that is by recruiting people to become your downlines and passing the buck to them.

That is a clear sign that this one’s a pyramid scheme in disguise.

#3 Saturated market

There are already a lot of fashion and jewelry MLM companies out there. This means that you’re just going to have a hard time selling those items because of the amount of competition you have to face.

#4 Only 1 in 183 members earn over $18k a year

You can see in the Stella & Dot income disclosure that 90.7% if all members earn a minuscule $1,200 in a year, while 98.8% are earning $10,600 annually.

That means 0.54% of members earn just $18,000 a year.

My opinion - Stella & Dot

Stella & Dot surely sells interesting products compared to other MLMs.

But what do I see about their business opportunity?...

The only legit way that you can make money (that’s if you can make money) is by recruiting hundreds of people in a single month and encouraging all of them to sell aggressively just to stay active and earn.

Letting them do that just means that they’ll just end up losing money instead of earning money from Stella & Dot.

No way does that seem like an ethical business model to me...
