Technically, no. Total Life Changes is not a pyramid scheme.
It’s because distributors can make money by selling their products without having to recruit anyone.
But then again, I see that it’s very hard to make good money this way. You even have to spend your money to cover the monthly sales quota!
With this, I am very sure that Total Life Changes has a lot of similarities to a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Iaso Tea - flagship product
Total Life Changes’ flagship product is the Iaso Tea. It’s priced at $49.95 for a pack of 4.
I find this tea interesting because it claims to be a weight loss program which speeds up the weight loss process in as fast as 5 days.
Though I won’t really believe that, it’s still worth a try!
But then again, the company didn’t provide any medical and clinical studies that can back up these claims (which is completely normal for any MLM).
Yes, I know exactly what’s on your mind… it’s still too damn similar to the other beauty and wellness products you’ll find in the store.
So to deal with this issue, I thought that the best way to know if their products are really good is to literally try them. Or perhaps check out the reviews of their users…
So far, I found many positive reviews of Total Life changes, which is a good sign...

Can you make money with Total Life Changes?
Over 95% of Total Life Changes members lose money.
With this fact alone, you can easily say that it isn’t easy to make money as one of their distributors.
And can you really consider this as a source of “residual income” for your sideline business?
Frankly speaking, no.
The few people who make money from Total Life Changes are extroverts who aggressively use social media to advertise the company’s products.
They market these as becoming your own boss to any people they meet, endlessly scouring for potential “downlines.”
The few successful ones in fact serve as full-time sales managers.
All they do is motivate their so-called “team” to sell the products and recruit more people to earn money and get bonuses.
The sad thing is… most, if not all of their “team” really lose money because they need to buy the products themselves just for them to stay active.
How to make money with Total Life Changes
There are just 2 real ways you can make money if you’re in Total Life Changes:
- Sell products
- Recruit people (to earn commissions and bonuses from their sales)
This is common for all MLMs. But why are they still operating and there’s still lots of them? Well, the answer to that is they don’t get “paid directly” for recruitment.
Because if that’s the case, then that’s an outright pyramid scheme!
Instead, these MLMs give bonuses to the members.
It’s easy to spot the difference...
This is a big turn-off to me because a proper company should reward you for your performance and now how much you shelled out in payments...
How much does it cost to join Total Life Changes?
Spending a minimum of $40 in buying any Total Life Changes product makes you an automatic affiliate member.
This means you can sell their products and recruit. But you can also avail their leadership packs if you want to make more money.
Here are the prices for each kind of leadership pack:
- Leadership Pack 1 ($199)
- Leadership Pack 2 ($499)
- Leadership Pack 3 ($999)
Buying Pack 1 gives you 5% on binary commissions good for 2 months. Get Pack 2 and you still get 5%, but for 4 months. Pack 3 is basically the same as well, but is good for 6 months.
In simpler words, the more you pay, the higher your chances are of earning.
This is a big turn-off to me because a proper company should reward you for your performance and now how much you shelled out in payments...

Total Life Changes is no different! But, I’ll do my best to make this simple.
There are 5 ways to earn money from Total Life changes...
Qualification
Maintain $40 worth of monthly autoship. It’s not that you’re assured you’ll be earning with this $40, but it’s just your “entry pass” to earn. And nothing more.
Retail Commissions
Get 50% in retail commissions from your personal sales to customers.
Fast Start Bonus
Get a 50% bonus on the first order placed by your newly recruited distributor.
Corporate Expenses Account
The company didn’t disclose any specific percentage or amount you can get, other than that you can get up to $1,000 in bonuses.
Sounds pretty vague to me...
Don’t worry if you’re confused with all these because most of us do! MLMs use salesy acronyms and complex terms so that people will have an idea that there’s many ways you can make money.
When in fact, there are just 2 actual things to do:
- Sell products
- Recruit people

Why?
Because they sell legit products. They also pay you with the exact figures they say.
The thing is… too many hopeful people join the company without really knowing the things they must do to make good money.
Some might try for a few months or maybe a year, and then they get tired of all this and just stop.

#1 Expensive products
It’s a big turnoff to me that Total Life Changes sell downright expensive products.
This is a sign that it’s a pyramid scheme in disguise. It also shows that the company focuses more on recruitment instead of sales.

Frankly speaking, why would anyone even dare to spend over 10 times the amount on a common product? Who the heck would buy these overpriced nonsense?...
#2 Hidden monthly expenses
Yes, you’ve read that right…
To become an active Total Life Changes distributor, you need to sell at least 40 PV monthly.
This just makes no frickin sense.
40 PV means that you must sell at least 40 Total Life Changes products every single month.
You’ll then be promoted to higher ranks once you make 80, 100, 120, and so on PVs…
What happens to many distributors is that they buy the products themselves if they can’t sell them.
The truth is… the distributors are the biggest customer base of Total Life Changes.
For what? To get the “be your own boss” experience?
Sounds silly...
That just sucks...
#3 Low Income Potential
Commission rate might be a bit high at (*input amount). Unfortunately, the earning potential is very low.
The company released a statement saying that they made $88 million in profit revenue. I did some research and found out that they also have currently 49,000 distributors.
The thing is, Total Life Changes didn’t release an official income statement. So, I automatically assumed that the $88 million was divided from their 49,000 distributors.
If that’s the case, then each made just $1,872. What’s worse is that the $88 million most likely didn’t come from the sales of distributors!
A little less than $2,000 made in a year is just low and worth the effort...
#4 Autoship
Autoships are just downright ANNOYING. Why do you need to spend a set amount monthly just to get commissions?
The $40 autoship might be a bit lower compared to most MLMs, but that is still a huge financial burden to members because they’ll just continue getting stocks unless they stop subscribing.
Unsold products will just overstock. What do distributors have to do about these?
Well, buy them for themselves!
It’s just plain silly...
#5 Total Life Changes is a pyramid scheme in disguise
The only way you can avoid losing money is to recruit people into the company and pass the burden to them.

Total Life Changes offers nice and quality products. But they sure are overpriced!
So, what’s up with the business opportunity?
You’re going to have a hard time making money because you need to recruit lots (and I mean lots) of people to make any money.
Add into that the fact that you have a 98% chance of losing your hard earned cash. That doesn’t sound like an ethical business to me...
Because all you have to do is to advertise the business opportunity as a “be your own boss” experience, only to realize that you won’t make any good money...
How I make passive income online
MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

The fact that over 95% of members in any scheme or association are losing money is a good enough warning for me to stay away. You’ve clearly outlined the modes through which these losses occur but I’m sure that the hope that they’ll one day break through keeps them hooked. I don’t disagree that people do “retail” only, but I do guarantee none of them make enough money to “live life on their own terms” or “be their own boss”, to do that they have to recruit. I have no problem with anyone that wants to make some pocket money and who genuinely loves the products. I do have an issue with people pretending to others that this is the answer to all of their dreams… all they have to do is “join their team”.
