What is Prime My Body?

Prime My Body is a Multi-Level-Marketing company that is in the health and wellness industry.

They sell different kinds of nutritional supplements, most of which are infused with CBD and hemp.

Here is a 3-minute video about the company...

The firm was founded back in 2009 by John Taylor, an entrepreneur businessman who wanted to bring out the full benefits of CBD and make it mainstream.

Since then, he has built a company composed of more than 50,000 members.

He also markets the company as an opportunity for anyone to make it big and to earn financial freedom.

However, that ideology is put in question as there is no assurance that they ensure the financial freedom of their members just by earning commissions from the selling of their products.

Is Prime My Body a pyramid scheme?

No, Prime My Body isn’t a pyramid scheme. The members of the company are earning cash without having to recruit.

They do this by simply selling the products of the company and earning commissions from it because they can sell it at retail prices even if they bought it as an affiliate member at wholesale price.

Nonetheless, a more fitting question to that is… Is Prime My Body a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme is an organization or company that is promising its members payment whenever they recruit someone.

This is the focal point of the organization of company instead of selling actual products and services.

Most, if not all countries, have already banned this because it is impossible for all of the members to earn money from a business structure which is only designed for recruitment and recruitment alone.

See this diagram from Wikipedia to learn why...

There might be some who make money, but they are the select few. They also recruit as many people as they can by selling the idea of a “business opportunity.”

But is this really one? Well, if you were to closely look at the diagram, you can see that the company isn’t sustainable because you’re going to eventually be running out of members you can recruit…

Know more about how you can spot these “pyramid schemes in disguise? In this 5-minute video from YouTube below...

Let's then know why...

Success is rare with Prime My Body

Frankly speaking, it is hard to achieve success in an MLM such as Prime My Body.

In fact, a statistical report states that between 72.5% and 99.9% of all MLM members are losing money...

This surprising fact happens because MLMs have this so called sales quota which members need to achieve for them to stay active and be eligible in receiving commissions.

Selling a certain number of products and reaching the quota is a huge must if members want to earn.

If they are unable to, then they’ve got no choice but to just buy the products themselves, just so that they can stay active and to earn even if they aren’t literally earning…

This is why MLM members are losing hundreds and even thousands of dollars before they can recruit one person into their downline…

Hey, I'm Mike.

I created a passive income online within a year. I had no marketing skills or online experience when I started.

How does Prime My Body Work?

Prime My Body sells CBD hemp products that come in the form of nutritional supplements, extracts, creams, moisturizers, and lotions.

They also have an affiliate program where the average joe can become a member, work from home, and sell their products for commissions.

It sure sounds like a simple and great idea.

But wait till you learn that they are saving huge cash from their supposed marketing campaigns because instead of engaging in one, they just let their members do all the promotion and advertising to other people.

Before concluding that this is really the case, let’s learn more about...

Prime My Body products

If you are really curious as to what the company is about and you’d like to join, then it’s best that you know their products, and if possible, use them yourself.

This way, you’ll have an easier time navigating your way into the company.

Prime My Body’s best-selling products are:

  • Calm Hemp Extract ($108) - Hemp oil that improves skin and cell regeneration by inducing sleep.
  • Hemp Nox ($219) - A skin cleanser that contains CBD compounds. This gives your skin a fairer and smoother complexion and texture.
  • Body Therapy ($89) - Body ointment for body pains like joint pains and muscle aches.
  • Lip Balm ($52) - Hydrates the lips making it look fresh. It also gives a soothing sensation.

However, be aware that there are a lot of other brands that offer the same stuff, especially that CBD health and wellness products are one of the most common kinds of offerings by MLM.

Here are some of the most notable health and wellness MLMs that offer similar stuff:

All of them claim to be special and to have an exclusive ingredient which makes them stand out. When in fact, they all offer a very similar product and host of benefits to users.

So now that we know this is the case, then what makes Prime My Body different?

Prime My Body flagship product

Hydrate Pure ($119) - A skin moisturizer composed of different kinds of botanical blends infused with hemp. This cleanses the skin, boosts cell regeneration, and gives you an overall youthful glow.

Now that you know about that...

Can you make money with Prime My Body?

Yes, but it’s hard.

There are some who make money, but they work more than 8 hours a day just like sales managers, only to earn an income that’s roughly the same or even lower than minimum wage.

They don’t even have an official income disclosure to prove and show that their members are making enough money...

How to make money with Prime My Body

There are only 2 ways you can make money from Prime My Body:

  • Sell their CBD products
  • Recruit members into the MLM company

But take note that you can only earn bonuses from the sales of your recruited downlines and not by merely recruiting them into the company.

How much does it cost to join Prime My Body?

You must pay an annual fee worth $39 to join and become a member of Prime My Body.

Aside from that, you also have to buy their business starter kits that come at different variants and prices.

These are:

  • Personal Pack - $199
  • Starter Pack - $357
  • Business Pack - $714
  • Sample Pack - $980
  • Premium Pack - $1,071

Sounds like a lot, right? Well, wait till you see this...

Prime My Body monthly cost

You need to maintain at least 100 PV monthly for you to become an active member and be eligible for the commissions.

The costs you are going to incur for 1 year are…

  • $39
  • $199 to $1,071
  • $100 x 12

Minimum costs for year 1 = $1,438 to $2,310

And that’s before you add up all the remaining costs such as training and seminars, as well as travel and gas allowance.

Prime My Body compensation plan

MLM companies always have confusing compensation plans, and Prime My Body isn’t exempted from that.

But don’t worry because I’ll do my best to keep this simple and straightforward.

Prime My Body offers you 3 different ways to earn money as one of their members. These are:

  • Retail Commissions - Earn a 10% to 30% bonus for every sale that you make.
  • Residual Commissions - Earn a 15% to 20% bonus for every sale that your downline makes. This depends on your personal rank and the rank of your downlines.
  • Fast Builder Rewards - Earn a 25% bonus once your newly recruited member purchases products for the first time.

Confused? Well, that’s normal for MLMs.

They do this because they want to make other people think that there are a lot of ways to earn from them even if there are just 2 things to do:

  • Sell their CBD products
  • Recruit members into the company

Here is a 9-minute video about their compensation plan to help you learn more about it.

Or maybe just check out the full Prime My Body compensation plan to see it for yourself.

Is Prime My Body a scam?

No, Prime My Body is not a scam. The company is selling real products and they also pay their members exactly as what they say.

But the thing is… many members are disappointed to learn that the promise of financial freedom is just embellished marketing strategies because instead of earning, they’re losing money.

This is why some dismiss the company as a scam!

The rest of this Prime My Body review will reveal the facts to this so you can come up with an informed decision about the matter...

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. What I like about Prime My Body

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Established reputation

The average life span of an MLM is just around 5 years.

However, Prime My Body has already been operating for more than 10 years as it were founded back in 2009.

This means that they’re doing well in terms of operations and they haven’t had any beef with the authorities. This is a good sign that you can somehow fare well with the company.

#2 Positive product reviews

I checked what people have to say about their products, and I’m surprised to see a number of positive reviews.

As you can see, there are a lot of users who agree that their CBD products are effective.

This is another sign that you can have an easier time selling the products because it has a nice reputation. It’s effective and doesn’t have any negative effects.

What I don't like about Prime My Body

#1 Expensive products

No doubt Prime My Body sells expensive CBD products. You’ll have a difficult time with this because there are a lot of other brands that offer the same benefits at a much lower price.

Here are some examples:

As you can see, it’s a no brainer that customers are going to opt for the cheaper brands because they are more cost-efficient and they offer the same benefits, even much better.

#2 Saturated market

The health and wellness niche in the MLM industry is the most saturated one.

There are a lot of other brands out there that sell health supplements, nutritional products, and CBD infused stuff, which gives customers a lot of options to choose from.

This makes it hard for you to compete with this already saturated market.

#3 Hidden monthly expenses

You need to sell 100 PV monthly if you want to become an active member. PV means personal volume, which is the number or amount of products you must sell every month.

Maintaining 100 PV every month means that you need to sell a minimum of $100 worth of Prime My Body products monthly.

Can’t do that? Then you’ve got no choice but to just buy them for yourself to become an active member and continue receiving commissions.

What MLM companies don’t want their members to know is that their biggest client base is their affiliate members.

They don’t do anything but just continue buying their products and hoping that they’ll achieve financial freedom anytime soon.

#4 Is Prime My Body a pyramid scheme in disguise?

Spending $100 monthly just to stay active means that there is only one way to avoid that, and that is by recruiting members to become your downline.

Here is then what that looks like...

Doing so means that you can pass on the pressure and hassle to them which requires them to achieve 100 PV monthly…

In no way does that sound ethical!

#5 Downward trend

Every time I make a review, I always check Google Trends. This way, I know if people are interested with the company.

This is what I saw with Prime My Body:

As you can see, the trend is going down, which means there’s less people interested in it.

You can also see the stark difference when compared to Farmasi, another famous MLM company.

This only means one thing, and that you’ll have a hard time selling Prime My Body’s products because there are fewer people who like it.

I've created a growing passive income online with no previous marketing skills or online experience...

I've made a special video for you to explain exactly how I did this.

My opinion - Prime My Body

Prime My Body no doubt sells quality and legit products. But they are overpriced, right?

They also have a sales quota which forces members to just recruit and recruit to somehow make ends meet…

So, here’s what I think about their business opportunity...

The only way you can make money is by recruiting as many people as you can even if you know that majority of them are just going to lose money.

It doesn’t seem like an ethical business, right?

It’s all about selling the dream of financial freedom even if you already know that there’s no way to achieve that with this company...

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...
