What is LurraLife?
LurraLife is a Multi-Level-Marketing company founded by Dan Putnam in 2012.
Putnam is an entrepreneur who has put up a number of businesses before LurraLife.
One of these is O2 WorldWide, which many agree is the predecessor of LurraLife.
Not much is known about Putnam, but it’s common knowledge that Putnam’s two previous companies called One80 and Modern Money Team were labeled as scams and pyramid schemes.
Lurralife isn’t yet on that stage, but based on the looks of it, it’s heading there...
Here is a 6-minute video that shows you what the company is about...
So why are their many people who are asking...
Is LurraLife a pyramid scheme?
Nope, LurraLife isn’t a pyramid scheme.
This is because of the fact that the members of this company are earning money by selling the products without having to recruit people.
But even if that is the case, it’s still necessary to ask if… Is LurraLife a pyramid scheme in disguise?
What is a pyramid scheme?
A company that is offering payments to members who recruit people. This is the main source of income of the members instead of selling legitimate products and services.
Countries all over the globe have already banned these companies because it is impossible for the members to earn money from a company that only pays for recruitment.
See this Wikipedia diagram to know why this is the case...
There might be a few members who make money, but they do nothing but just recruit as many people as they can and tell them about the business opportunity.
But if you were to check back on the diagram, you can see that this isn’t really a business opportunity because members are just going to be running out of people they can recruit sooner or later.

It's also necessary to know why...
Success is rare with LurraLife
If you’re looking for a new career path, then this surely isn’t what you need. LurraLife will give you a hard time in searching for any kind of success.
In fact, statistics state that between 72.5% and 99.9% of members are actually losing money.
This is because MLMs have this so-called sales quota which forces members to sell a certain number or amount of products for them to stay active.
If they are unable to, then they just have to buy the products for themselves for them to stay active.
This is why there are a lot of members who lose a lot of money before they can get their first recruit...
How does LurraLife Work?
LurraLife works by selling health and wellness products that provide a healthier overall lifestyle for people.
They also have their own affiliate program where members can become agents that sell their products for commission. It sounds like a great way to earn money, but it’s not as simple as it seems.
You see, LurraLife skips their marketing campaigns and because of it, they are able to save huge money.
They just let their members do all the hard work in promoting and advertising. Before we see if this is really the case, let’s learn more about...
LurraLife products
LurraLife is selling different products that aim on improving one’s health. It’s best that you know what these are and what they can really do if you really want to become a member.
Here are a few of the best-selling products from LurraLife:
- Lurra Life LurraFit Coffee ($40) - Improves your energy levels and increases stamina, making you become more productive. This also helps burn fats and speed up weight loss.
- Lurra Life Thrive Green Drink ($44) - Improves cardiovascular health and supports the body’s insulin generation, making this good for those who have high sugar levels.
- Lurra Life LurraFit Capsules ($66) - Improves focus and intelligence levels while also facilitating natural weight loss.
It’s important that you know that there are a lot of other brands out there that are offering a very similar range of products.
The most notable MLMs are:
All of them are claiming to be special from one another because of their exclusive offerings.
When in reality, they are just offering the same stuff but just in different packaging and flavors.
So, what makes LurraLife different and special?
LurraLife flagship product
Lurra Life Dr. Miller's Detox Tea ($37) - A natural tea that helps improve blood pressure and lowers down cholesterol. This also improves mental clarity, increases energy levels, and boosts the immune system.

Let's then know if...
Can you make money with LurraLife?
Yes, but it’s very hard to make money from LurraLife.
There are a few people that do, but they are just earning an income that’s comparable to minimum wage.
There are even some that earn less than minimum wage even if they work throughout the day, just like full-time sales managers…
Even their income disclosure shows that the majority of their members aren’t making good money from LurraLife. How to make money with LurraLife
There are just 2 things you need to do if you’d like to make money from LurraLife, and these are:
- Sell products
- Recruit members
Take note, though, that you can only earn money from the commissions you earn from your downline’s sales and not from simply recruiting them.
Before we go straight to the compensation plan, let’s find out more...
How much does it cost to join LurraLife?
There’s no subscription fee for LurraLife, but you need to pay between $14.95 to $497 for their business kits...
LurraLife monthly cost
Also take note that you must maintain 15 PV every month for you to stay qualified.
Here is a summary of the costs you are going to incur on your first year…
The costs for 1 year are...
- $15 to $497
- $15 x 12
Minimum costs for year 1 = $195 to $677
And that doesn’t yet include the other costs such as training, marketing, and miscellaneous expenses. There’s a good possibility that this can triple or even quadruple...
LurraLife compensation plan
Many MLMs always make confusing compensation plans. Well, there’s no need to worry about that, though, because I will do my best to simplify things up for you…
LurraLife is offering members 2 main ways to earn:
- Retail Commissions - Earn 50% commission from every product that you sell.
- Residual Commissions - Earn 5% to 10% commission from your total sales volume, depending on your rank and level.
That’s the simplest explanation I can give, but for sure, there are still some who find this confusing.
Well, that’s completely normal because MLMs create fancy terms and names so that their members can think that there are a lot of ways you can earn from the company even if there’s just 2 things to do, which are:
- Sell their products
- Recruit as many people as they can
I've also found a 29-minute video you might want to check out to have a better understanding of their compensation plan...
Or you might like to check out their full compensation plan here.
Is LurraLife a scam?
LurraLife isn’t a scam. They are a legit company that sells legit products. They also pay members properly and on time.
But why is it that many people call it as a scam?
Well, that’s because they realize after a few months of being with the company, that they aren’t really making money, but losing money!
Hence, they conclude that the company is a scam...
The rest of this MLM review will help you see the truth to this so that you can come up with the right decision if this is worth the try or not...
Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.
I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. What I like about LurraLife
Key Terms:
- Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
- Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
- Red Flag - A warning sign
#1 Positive product reviews
The first thing I look at when reviewing an MLM are the reviews. In this case, LurraLife got loads of nice outputs from its customers
As you can see, their best-selling products have excellent ratings, which just proves that they indeed sell nice products...
#2 Gaining momentum
Here is what I found on Google Trends…
This shows that there is a growing number of people who are interested in LurraLife because of the increasing searches it has. This is a good sign that you can sell the products to many people.
What I don't like about LurraLife
#1 Expensive products
The first and biggest turnoff I have with LurraLife is that they sell overpriced products.
You can clearly see that there are a number of products out there that are way cheaper, but still are effective and have nice reviews from users.
This alone shows that there are a lot of other choices out there for your potential customers...
#2 Saturated market
The health and wellness market is already very saturated because the majority of MLMs are in that niche already.
This means that you are going to have a hard time competing with the other brands out there...
#3 Hidden monthly expenses
All members are required to sell at least 15 PV every month for them to stay active.
This means that you need to sell a minimum of $15 every month for you to be an active member and to earn commissions.
Can’t do that? Then you are faced with no choice but to just buy the products for themselves.
This is why the biggest client base of MLMs are their members, as they just keep buying their stuff regularly, and hoping that they’ll make it big...
#4 Is LurraLife a pyramid scheme in disguise?
Although it’s not clearly stated that you need to recruit for you to earn money, it’s already very obvious knowing that it’s the only way you can gain commissions.
Yes, you can just sell the products and earn commissions from it.
But that’s not enough for you to sustainably treat it as a legit and reliable source of income because of the expenses and costs you have to incur in order to stay active.
Here is a diagram that shows what's happening here...
With this, you can easily dismiss LurraLife as a pyramid scheme in disguise because of its dependence on recruitment for a stable income source.
It’s all about the recruitment for you to achieve your goal of earning big time, even if you can’t...
My opinion - LurraLife
LurraLife is at first glance, a good company.
They sell effective health and nutritional products, and also pay their members correctly. But the thing is… the products they are selling are just overpriced.
And what can I say about their business opportunity?...
The only way you can make money is by recruiting people just goes to show that there is something going wrong here, especially that the majority of the MLM’s members are just going to lose money...
This isn’t an ethical business model because you are selling the dream of becoming your own boss even if you already know that your downlines are just losing money...
How I make passive income online
MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.
Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:
- You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
- You never need to sell to friends and family
- It's completely free to start
In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.
But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...
