What is Impact Mailing Club?

Impact Mailing Club is a direct mail Multi-Level-Marketing company that was founded by a lady entrepreneur named Rose Alameda.

They claim to help members earn $500 to $1,000 by just sending letters and postcards.

What makes this a bit fishy is that they don’t have their own official website. Instead, they have a Facebook group that has more than 5,000 members.

Not much is known about the company aside from the fact that it basically has its own platform which invites anyone to join.

They then send out letters to random people and wait till one of them accepts the invitation.

Check out this 3-minute video about the company...

Let us dive deeper and know if...

Is Impact Mailing Club a pyramid scheme?

There are a lot of signs that show Impact Mailing Club is a pyramid scheme.

First off, is that their members can only earn money by recruiting other people.

They don’t sell tangible products or services. Instead, they just send mail and wait till they recruit.

Because of this, it’s also smart to ask if… Is Impact Mailing Club a pyramid scheme in disguise?

What is a pyramid scheme?

A pyramid scheme commonly takes the form of a company that is paying members whenever they successfully recruit new members into the system.

This is the reason why a lot of governments have labeled companies like these as illegal as there is no way they can continue operating especially that they don’t have products or services to sell.

See this diagram from Wikipedia to know how this works...

Members who are making money are those who exhaust all their effort to recruit people.

But if you were to check back on the diagram, you’ll see that it’s impossible for the recruits to earn money because sooner or later, they are going to exhaust all the potential customers and members they can recruit into the company.

So, why do many say...

Success is rare with Impact Mailing Club

Yes, you read that right. Success is hard to achieve with an MLM, especially when you’re with Impact Mailing Club.

In fact, a report states that between  72.5% and 99.9% of members don’t make any money at all. And more specifically speaking, these guys lose money.

92.3 Percent of Members Lose Money in MLMs

This is happening because the expenses members incur happen to be higher than the money they earn, thus they lose money.

That is exactly what happens with Impact Mailing Club.

There are also other MLMs which have sales quota where members need to sell a certain number of products to receive commissions.

This is why most MLM members lose huge money from their own savings before they can get a single recruit.

How does Impact Mailing Club Work?

The company works by maintaining a direct mail gifting system. This is a platform where members send mail to random recipients inviting them to join the company.

They then earn money whenever they successfully recruit a member into the system.

You can see as early as now that there’s really something fishy going on here because what they are merely doing is recruitment. And nothing more.

But is that really the case?

Impact Mailing Club services

Impact Mailing Club is different from most MLMs because this does not have any product or service.

Instead, what they do is that they maintain their own direct mail platform. This is where members can join the company and mail letters to a random list of people which they call as leads.

They’re called leads because they are prospect members who can be recruited. If they buy into your mail and they become a member, you then earn a commission.

Your recruited members then become your downline. And what they do next is to do the exact same thing you are doing, which is sending mail to random people and hoping they can recruit.

It’s all about building a team, but what kind of team are you exactly building?

A team that’s made to recruit?

You can again see that the recruitment process keeps on going even if there is really no product offered.

Is Impact Mailing Club a Scam: Services

It’s all about chain recruitment...

There are a lot of direct mail schemes like these in the MLM world, though, so be warned.

Below are some of the other direct mail MLMs that are popular:

They claim to be special and different, even if they are all just the same and operate by means of recruitment...

Here is another diagram to help you learn more about what they really are offering...

Is Impact Mailing Club a Scam: Flagship

Here is a 4-minute video that will help you see what you'll do if you are a member:

Note this video has been removed. It may be because of how bad Impact Mailing Club is, but that's just me speculating!

Now, let's ask...

Can you make money with Impact Mailing Club?

It is very hard to make money from Impact Mailing Club.

Not only do you have to shell out a huge capital for the subscription investment. But the chances of you recruiting other people is hard.

There might be a few who do, but they work very hard trying to recruit people.

And it functions just like a full-time job instead of the part-time business you’re looking for.

There is even no income disclosure to prove that members actually do make money.

How to make money with Impact Mailing Club

You have to do these one thing to make money:

  • Recruit as many members as you can

And then again, you can see that there’s something odd going on here...

How much does it cost to join Impact Mailing Club?

You have 4 subscription choices if you want to be an Impact Mailing Club member:

  • Emerald ($100) - 2 stamp books or 100 leads
  • Ruby ($250) -  4 stamp books or 200 leads
  • Sapphire ($500) -  4 stamp books or 400 leads
  • Diamond ($2,000) -  5 stamp books or 1,000 leads

The stamp books mention there are the mail units you are going to send out later.

The more expensive subscriptions you choose, the more mails you can send out.

Impact Mailing Club monthly cost

There is no sales quota.

But there is also no guarantee that you can make any money.

Just think of it this way. Do you think that the recipients will buy into your invitation of joining the company just for them to make money? They’ll most likely just snob the letter.

Here’s the cost you are going to have in your 1st year…

  • Minimum costs for year 1 = $100 to $2,000

Also note that this is not yet the full list of costs because you are still going to spend on training, travel, food, marketing, and many more expenses...

Impact Mailing Club compensation plan

Impact Mailing Club’s compensation plan is simple.

You basically earn every time you recruit a person. But it’s not as simple as that because there are ranks.

But I’ll explain it to you here…

Let’s start off with the Ruby level. If you are at the Ruby level, you can earn commissions if you recruit people to join your level.

But if they happen to choose a higher and more expensive level, let’s say the Sapphire or Diamond, then you can’t earn anything.

Instead, they get a commission from you!

I did some further research into this and found out that the company will contact and notify you if you want to upgrade.

But even if this is the case, can you still afford the maximum of $2,000 additional cost for upgrading?

Here are the different levels and the corresponding money you can earn:

  • Emerald - Earn a $65 or $20 commission when you recruit members into the 1st tier and 2nd tier, respectively.
  • Ruby -  Earn a $150 or $50 commission when you recruit members into the 1st tier and 2nd tier, respectively.
  • Sapphire -  Earn a $300 or $100 commission when you recruit members into the 1st tier and 2nd tier, respectively.
  • Diamond -  Earn a $1,000 or $500 commission when you recruit members into the 1st tier and 2nd tier, respectively.
Is Impact Mailing Club a Scam: Compensation

Confusing, for sure, even if that’s already simplified.

These companies make it seem like their members can have a lot of ways to make money, even if they just need to do this one obvious thing:

  • Recruit as hard as they can to earn money

Here is a 10-minute video of their compensation plan...

Let us then get straight to the point and learn if...

Is Impact Mailing Club a scam?

Not really. But they do show a lot of signs that they are a scam.

They don’t have a legit product, they have no official website, and they don’t offer anything aside from the fact that their members recruit people.

And those recruited members won’t do anything aside from just recruiting.

So, what can you say about this? Easy…

And that it’s most likely a scam.

But it’s important to dig deeper into this by knowing more specific details about the company and if you can really earn from their recruitment scheme...

Just to be fully transparent with you, I am not a distributor myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes.

What I like about Impact Mailing Club

Key Terms:

  • Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from recruiting others into the company rather than providing a product
  • Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
  • Red Flag - A warning sign

#1 Gaining momentum

The best and only nice thing about Impact Mailing Club is what Google Trends show:

Is Impact Mailing Club a Scam: Pros

As you can see, the number of people searching for Impact Mailing Club has greatly increased.

In fact, the graph spiked up pretty nice.

This shows that there are a lot of people who are interested in Impact Mailing Club, which also means you might recruit lots of people.

What I don't like about Impact Mailing Club

#1 Expensive subscription

Here is what you need to spend to become a member.

Is Impact Mailing Club a Scam: Cons

Spending $100 to $2,000 without any assurance that you will earn is just very risky.

That’s also just very high compared to other MLMs.

#2 No product or service

Impact Mailing Club obviously doesn't have any product or service to offer or sell.

This is a very clear sign that there is something fishy and off with the company.  All they have is a system where members recruit people.

And the new members who are recruited also do nothing but basically do the same thing, which is to recruit.

The cycle goes on...

#3 Nonsense business practice

Nonsense. Yes, that is the magic word for Impact Mailing Club.

There is literally no sense or meaning or even some kind of purpose why they exist in the first place.

They give people a chance to earn money.

But they earn money on what? By recruiting people?

And what do the recruited people do?

Well, they recruit.

Yes, that’s all there is to this company, recruitment.

#4 Obsolete system

In this digital age, who even uses the mail? Except of course, if you're sending important documents.

Almost all, if not all people use devices and the internet to communicate or even to pitch business opportunities.

Yes, nothing might still defeat the effect you get when you receive a physical mail because it’s enticing.

But very few people just care about these physical mails.

There’s a good chance that your mail will just end up in the garbage can of the recipient.

A hard fact I should say...

#5 No income disclosure

Impact Mailing Club does not have an income disclosure to prove that its members earn money.

This shows that maybe the members don’t really earn anything...

#6 Is Impact Mailing Club a pyramid scheme in disguise?

No doubt that Impact Mailing Club is a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Here is how their system works...

MLM pyramid scheme

In fact, it isn’t in disguise because it is very obvious.

The only way you can make money is by recruiting members. Isn’t just that the exact definition of a pyramid scheme?

I've made a special video for you to explain exactly how I did this.

My opinion - Impact Mailing Club

I hate to break it up to you, but frankly speaking, there’s really nothing nice I can say about Impact Mailing Club.

You send letters to as many people as you can, hoping that they join the company.

And they join for what?

To also send letters and hoping they can recruit people to earn money?

Here is what I say about their business opportunity...

Recruitment is the core of Impact Mailing Club, which proves that it’s a pyramid scheme.

And you recruit as many people as you can even if you already know that their chances of earning money are very low.

There are a lot of other business opportunities out there that deal with tangible and legitimate products and services and offer better chances of earning money...

How I make passive income online

MLMs are not scams or illegal. However, I'm not a fan of them because of the restrictions to the expensive products you have to promote.

Once I learnt about affiliate marketing, I realised it's a far superior business model because:

  • You can promote anything you want and truly own the business
  • You never need to sell to friends and family
  • It's completely free to start

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...
