What is Eleprenurs/ Elevacity?
What is Elepreneurs? Elepreneurs is a health and wellness Multi-Level-Marketing company that started in 2017 to promote Elevacity products.
What is Elevacity? Elevacity is a health and wellness company that sells a range of wellness and skin care products that was founded in 2016 by Robert Oblon.
Why are there 2 companies? Elepreneurs started as a way to help market the Elevacity products.
Who is Robert Oblon? This actually helps to answer the above questions... Rob originally was the president of a travel MLM called World Ventures (that I have previously reviewed). It appears he was sued by the company for violating a "non-compete" in 2011.
So he registered a domain name called Elevacity in 2014 as a way to help promote his newer MLM called Travopoly in 2015. Elevacity originally just had a "vacation portal" attached to Travopoly.
But it was around this time that he stumbled across a "revolutionary product" called Meridium that helps to "elevate your health". This caused Rob to "pivot" into the health and wellness MLM industry and the current Elevacity and Elepreneurs was born.
Confused?
Yeah, pretty weird right?
Anyway this stuff doesn't really matter, but so many people get confused around this!
The 3 minute video below explains what Elevacity provides today with their flagship product line "D.O.S.E" (Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin, Endorphin)...
Some people may watch that video and think, "amazing, this sounds like a great opportunity to be part of!"
Well, you're smart enough to realise this is just a sales video by Eleprenuers.
So you're probably wondering...
Is Elepreneurs a pyramid scheme?
Technically no, Elepreneurs is not a pyramid scheme.
It's possible for distributors to make money just by selling Elevactity's products.
However, Elepreneurs is similar to a pyramid scheme in disguise. Let me explain what I mean by this...
What is a pyramid scheme?
A company that promises payment to its members for recruiting more people into the company rather than selling a product or service.
These are illegal in most countries around the world because it is impossible for every member to make money within this company structure.

Most MLMs, like Elepreneurs/ Elevacity, do offer legit products.
However, when these products are very expensive and there is this focus on members recruiting more people to earn a decent income the company is more like a "pyramid scheme in disguise".

Success is rare with Elepreneurs & Elevacity
The truth is that it's hard to find a lot of members making good money inside any MLM.
In fact, research shows that between 73% and 99% of all MLM representatives lose money.
Elepreneurs has not released any income disclosure statements, unlike most MLMs. They are also not a public company & therefore do not have to share their profit and loss statements.
This means it's hard to tell for sure how many people do make money inside the company.
However, I will dig into what it takes to make a good income later and their income disclaimer reveals that the "average distributor earns between $500-$1,000 a year".

You see these benefits in almost any type of of health and wellness company though so it's important to not get carried away with the "proprietary" claims or "special research".

Can you make money with Elepreneurs?
It's very hard for the average person to make money from Elepreneurs.
You can make around 10-30% commission on anything that you sell, but you need to think carefully about how many $50 pots of coffee you can sell to your friends and family each month.
The few people in MLMs that do make good money (over $20k a year) typically recruit a lot of people and act more like a "sales manager" by encouraging and helping their downline to sell more. They are often quite extroverted people who have a bit of a sales background or treat the MLM like a full time job.
Here's the truth that most people won't tell you...
If you're planning on making some money on the side with a few hours work a week you likely won't make any money.
How to make money with Elepreneurs
There are 2 ways you can make money, like in most MLM companies:
- Sell Elevacity products
- Recruit a downline to get bonuses from anything they buy or sell on
Do you notice that you don't get paid directly for recruiting people? Distributors only earn bonuses from the sales their downline makes. This is how Elepreneurs avoids being called an outright pyramid scheme and being shut down.
Before we dig into the comp plan you're probably wondering...
How much does it cost to join Elepreneurs?
It costs $99 to join as an "independent Elepreneur"...
You're then encouraged to buy a discounted product pack of either $250 or $500.
These prices are the up to date prices for the 2020's, which changed in mid 2019.
But the costs do not stop there...
Elepreneurs monthly cost
Technically there is no monthly "sales quota" for the reps to reach each month to stay active.
However, you will be encouraged by your "upline" to join the "smartship" plan (because that will get them more bonuses)...
To be totally honest, if you are planning on selling these products, then you should probably use them yourself so you understand them better. And the smartship plan saves you money compared to the regular price.
But it does mean you should probably allow for these expenses within your first year:
- $99
- $250-$500
- $50 x 12
Total costs for year 1 = $949-$1,199.
And these are the costs before you even take into account any extra training, marketing or packaging costs.
Elepreneurs compensation plan
For some reason MLMs like to make their compensation plan harder to understand that solving a Rubik's cube blindfolded.
Elepreneures is no different.
So I will do my best to keep this simple. There are 7 ways to get paid:
- Retail bonus (10-30% commission)
- Fast start pack bonus (5% on a starter pack your downline chooses)
- Customer acquisition bonus (customers that order $80 or more order- enroll 3 = $25, 5 = $50, 7 = $100 bonus)
- Unilevel bonus (1-7% for up to 10 levels deep depending on your rank)
- Leadership bonus ($400-$1,000 a month for Platinum rank or higher, see table below for how to get there)
- Diamond pool (0.5% of total global CV divided by diamond ranks)
- Ambassador pool (1.5% of total global CV divided by ambassador ranks)
If you are reading that and getting confused by that table, do NOT WORRY!
MLMs tend to like to use acronyms and weird diagrams and tables to make it seem like there are tons of ways for you to get paid.
The reality is, you can ONLY do two things to make money:
- Sell products
- Recruit people
And do you notice that 5 out of 7 ways require you to recruit people?

Is Elepreneurs a scam?

What I like about Elepreneurs
There are a couple of things that I genuinely like about Elepreneurs compared to other MLMs out there...
Key Terms:
- Pyramid Scheme – recruits members via a promise for payment from referring others to the service rather than providing a product
- Affiliate Marketing- Connecting a customer to a product they are looking for and receiving a commission for doing so
- Red Flag - A warning sign
#1 Positive product reviews
When you find real people writing real positive reviews about the products, it's a great sign for any MLM...
It's easy to find reps posting "out of this world" reviews about the products all over the place online as this is how they make money! But you can tell there were tons of legit reviews like the one above.
It's a great sign that Elepreneurs is not a scam.
#2 Not a binary compensation plan
I won't go into detail about binary, linear (or unilevel) and matrix compensation plans because it's boring!
All you need to know is that binary compensation plans aren't great. Yes, if you have a killer salesman above you in your upline then they will pass the people they recruit to you.
BUT...
It typically causes people to get complacent and doesn't end well (as you will have a "leg" that can't keep up).
Elepreneurs uses a linear compensation plan like this...
It's better than other compensation plans because there's no limit to how many people you can recruit on your level 1. They also have some nice commission structure which encourages people higher up the company to help their downline.
But at the end of the day, it's still focused on recruitment and that is not a good thing, which leads us nicely onto...
What I don't like about Elepreneurs
There are some hidden truths that most people won't realise until they join the company.
If everyone was aware of the truth before joining at least they could be prepared for these challenges...
#1 Expensive products
Any MLM with overpriced products is a BIG red flag that the company is similar to a pyramid scheme in disguise.
It's a sign that distributors will be encouraged to recruit rather than sell products...
Elevate coffee = $11.54 per oz
Bulletproof coffee = $1.25 per oz
Another highly rated weight loss coffee is 10 times cheaper than Elevacity! Now, you may be thinking "well what about the amazing benefits of elevacity and the special research blah blah blah..."
Just look at Bulletproofs 3 benefits at the bottom:
- All day energy
- Satisfies hunger
- Enhances focus
It's pretty much exactly the same as what Elevacity says their coffee does. The reality is it doesn't matter what they say it does, all that matters is if it works or not. And Bulletproof has 4.5 stars compared to Elevacity's 3.9 stars!
Just think about it...
Who in their right mind would buy products that are almost 10 times the price of arguably better alternatives?
#2 Monthly autoship
Oh yeah that's right...
The distributors would buy these products!
Why?
Because they will be encouraged to join the monthly "smartship" when they join so their "upline" can make a quick buck every month.
Why?
Because that's what they got told by their upline when they joined!
And to be fair, like I said earlier... if you are serious about promoting these products then you probably should actually use them yourself!
But when you combine hidden truth #1 & 2 you realise why...
#3 Elepreneurs acts like a pyramid scheme in disguise
So remember these facts:
- Their products are overpriced compared to alternatives
- Distributors are encouraged to join the smartship, which means their upline receives bonuses every month
- 5 out of 7 ways to make money requires members to recruit people
Now look at the diagram below from the compensation plan...
Does it look similar to the pyramid scheme diagram below it?
The truth is that when a company structure requires you to recruit to make money, it is IMPOSSIBLE for everyone to make money inside the company.
#4 Elevacity lawsuit
Elevacity got sued in 2018 by another MLM called Pruvit (I've also reviewed them before).
Supposedly Elevacity violated terms and agreements between them when they started making a Keto creamer, which directly competes with Pruvit's Ketone products. They also claimed that Elepreneurs is recruiting Pruvit members by revealing confidential information to them.
It's never a good sign when a company uses these black hat techniques to try and make money.
#5 Hard to make good money at Elepreneurs
Here is the income disclaimer on Elepreneurs website...
The average participant earns around $500-$1,000 a year!
Now remember what we learnt earlier...
Total costs for year 1 = $949-$1,199.
The average member will lose money each year!
The only way to realistically make good money from this company is by recruiting a lot of people or working on it full time.

It may not technically be a scam, but it certainly is not the best way to make money. You will only be able to make money by recruiting a lot of people (and most of those will lose money). That’s not my idea of an ethical business model that genuinely helps people.

Yeah, it’s definitely not a scam, but it’s an MLM that’s also facing competition from MLMs offering somewhat identical products. I’ve always said that if one’s serious about joining an MLM it has to be treated like a real job, not just a side-hustle. Unfortunately, so many feel that MLMs are just ways to earn easy money working just ten hours a week. That’s not the case. I’ve never been a fan of MLM.
100% Todd! I think a lot of people try to encourage people to join and make it sound like they can earn $500+ a month with a few hours dotted here and there.
It can’t be further from the truth! It’s super hard to sell any of these types of products and their income disclaimer even proves that the average income is between $500-$1,000 a YEAR… not month!
Their products look attractive and if someone is after such kind of products, they would probably join Elepreneurs. The one thing that bothers me is the monthly cost to stay active in the compensation plan. Based on what you have said, there’s no quota but members are being encouraged by uplines to put themselves on autoship. I’ve been to such kind of programs before and you know what? More than half of the money I’ve earned in commissions were just spent on the autoship. So, all in all, it was like a “break-even” business at all and there was little profit to show for. The sad part is, when I stopped spending money on autoship, the waiting commission volume which I hoped to earn were forfeited.
With this Elepreneurs, how much is the required volume for someone to be eligible for team commissions?
Bang on Gomer! You basically will just break even if you are using these products yourself!
There is no volume to be eligible for commissions if you are the starter rank. If you look at the compensation plan table in the section above you can see that each time you get “promoted” the amount required goes up quite quickly! Just something to be aware of
While your review of Elepreneurs does say that it’s not a scam, the fact that it is like a pyramid scheme is disguise is very concerning to me. It amazes me that many MLM companies are still around, but people are making money with them, it’s just a bit tougher to do it since the overall focus tends to be more on recruitment rather than the selling of its products. What really irks me though about Elepreneurs is that they say the average participant earns between $500 – $1,000 per year. You then break down the costs of maintaining a membership and the sad truth is that you aren’t making any money and are losing money in the long run!
