What is Billy Gene is Marketing about?

Billy Gene is Marketing has had lots of different informational products for people to buy over the years. They all teach marketers and entrepreneurs various tactics to grow their businesses.

The focus is obviously always on teaching you how to market, particularly with entertaining social media ads.

You can take advantage of Billy Gene is Marketing's comprehensive training programs and courses, which number in the dozens, to learn how to develop successful marketing campaigns from the ground up.

You can learn a specific skill from any of these courses, like making enticing email templates or growing your social media following.

Each course has a video of him demonstrating the process and a downloadable PDF guide you can study at your own pace.

In addition to learning how to construct a list of enthusiastic subscribers, you'll also learn to design visually appealing email templates and compose attention-grabbing subject lines.

He says he decided to put together the course because he recognizes the value of learning the ins and outs of effective online communication from veterans who have been doing it for years.

In his opinion, there are correct and incorrect methods to email your subscribers, and the key to success is being honest about your goals.

The 3 things Billy preaches for social media ads are:

  1. Entertain
  2. Educate
  3. Execute

Just watch the 1 minute video below to see what I mean...

This sounds great right?

You can learn how to make awesome ads on Facebook and YouTube just like Billy has. But you're probably wondering...

Who is Billy Gene?

Billy grew up in San Diego and dropped out of university.

But he is now the 7-figure CEO of his business!

Billy saw the potential in online business and created an online program for people wanting to quit smoking.

Like so many people he struggled to sell any at the start. But once he stumbled across Facebook ads he made his first money online.

This was the lightbulb moment for him...

He realised other people would pay him money to place social media ads to get leads for their businesses. So he started growing his net worth with his own ad agency (also called Billy Gene is Marketing).

After realising he was doing something that a lot of people were not very good at (but interested in learning) he started making education courses teaching his methods.

Before he knew it he had a $197 a month membership course and others that cost over $8,000!

He obvioulsy knows his stuff but is it still relevant today and any good?

Looking to make passive income online without spending $1,000's?

Hey, I'm Mike.

I created a passive income online within a year. I didn't spend thousands of dollars on a course and I had no marketing skills or online experience when I started.

How does Billy Gene is Marketing Work?

Recent years have seen the introduction of 100 Million Academy, a program nearly comparable to the Financial Freedom Movement but aimed toward adults.

The majority of Financial Freedom Movement participants were also 100 Million Academy participants.

These men must have an agreement to develop such brands jointly.

Billy Gene also participates in 100 Million Academy.

The greatest issue some people have with 100 Million Academy is that it was released during Covid-19, and its sales page includes Covid-19.

It appeared to be scare tactics. They asserted that the world would change irrevocably, that you would lose your job, and other similar statements.

This course was promoted as the solution to the impending suffering. It commenced the moment each American received $1,200.

Some believe they were attempting to obtain some of the stimulus money.

The training could have been of better quality, and rather than teaching you how to start an internet business, it merely provided an overview of how to make money online.

He has created tons of educational courses over the years. It seems like he creates something new at least once a year.

Here's 3 questions that sping to mind about this...

  1. Is that because he realises his methods are becoming outdated?
  2. Does he just like creating stuff?
  3. And why are they not good enough to stand the test of time?

Anyway his website currently has 2 main packages advertised (there's a good chance this will change again though)...

1. 30 Day Business Plan - $97

This is Billy's most recent course. It consists of 30 days of 5 minute videos from Billy that you can implement each day.

It's what Billy would do if he had to start all over again from scratch including the skills he needs to learn and how to find prospects that can become clients.

There's also a FB support group for you to ask questions and be held accountable.

2. The following courses used to exist separately but are now packaged into one bundle for $31...

Gene Pool - $197 per month or $8,613

The most popular of Billy's courses. It kind of covers a bit of everything with nothing in very much detail including:

  • Live weekly training with Billy
  • Access to previous training
  • Skill of the month
  • Access to Private FB group

Clicks into customers 2.0- $1,497

Teaching you how to create PPC ads that convert. All taught with videos including training on how to build landing pages, funnels and building email lists.

YouTube Advertising for GENEIUSes- $997

Does what it says on the tin... and no it's not a typo he calls his followers.

Sell like a GENEIUS - $997

One of Billy's highest ticket courses. There's an application form to fill out to be considered for this training.

How to sell lots of anything with Webinars- $697

Again... does what it says on the tin.

Also note that there are other similar schems out there that follow the same pattern such as:

So, there is really nothing special with this one...

Billy Gene is Marketing cost to join

You can get the 30 day business plan for $97 or you can get all of the other courses for $31.

However, if you don't make the decision within an hour the price goes up to $39... then it goes up again to $57 after another hour.

But is that really the case? Check out the 5 minute video below I made showing you what really happens...

No matter what you are buying the course for it's clear to see that the costs do not stop there!...

Billy Gene is Marketing monthly costs

The "Gene Pool" used to cost $197 a month. So getting $20k worth of courses for $31 seems like a steal... right?

Well not even including upsells there are some on going costs you need to be aware of to use the methods taught:

  • Hosting a website & domain name at last $10 a month
  • Funnel tool i.e. ClickFunnels is $97 a month
  • Tracking tools i.e. ClickMagick is $29 a month
  • Autoresponder $15+ a month
  • The ads themselves (realistically $200+ a month)

Total monthly on going costs = $352+

This is just the bare minimum you will need to run a successful ad campaign.

Obviously you would like to think that Billy's training will help those ads to be successful and help you make money. But the training Billy gives you won't neccessarily help you to create great products or find clients that will pay you for these services.

It is really just training on how to market better. This is obviously a very high ticket skill, but some people expect Billy's training to be a silver bullet and the answer to all their money problems!

Billy Gene is Marketing reviews online

I checked a load of places online to see what real customers think about Billy's training.

Here are the most common reviews from Yelp (3 stars from 35 reviews), Facebook (4.6 stars from 431 reviews) and BBB (3.9 stars from 7 reviews + 5 complaints)

  • "Billy is a great marketer and teacher."
  • "The ads he creates are so entertaining."
  • "Billy Gene is straight talking and there's no BS."
  • "There's a lot of positive energy from his trainings."

*Note I struggled to find any 3rd party results focused positive reviews. They were mainly subjective statements like the ones above.

Common negative Billy Gene is Marketing reviews

  • "Too much fluff (1 hour video has 5 mins of content)."
  • "Very hard to cancel membership."
  • "No refunds given."
  • "Potty mouthed and rude."
  • "Just a sales pitch to get your money."

Is Billy Gene is Marketing a scam?

Billy Gene is Marketing is not a scam.

Billy has worked his butt off to get where he is. He is teaching people real methods that have worked for him with social media marketing.

However, some people jump into the program expecting it to solve all of their problems without researching the company. I guess Billy's marketing is just so good that it attracts too many people!

That's why you see some people calling the program a scam.

Just to be fully transparent with you, I have not purchased the training myself and I do not endorse it in any way.

I have researched the website, testimonials and information on the Internet to get to the bottom of what this program genuinely does. This is because I have been burnt from programs just like this in the past and I want to prevent others from making the same mistakes. Billy Gene is Marketing pros

Here are some of the things I like about Billy's marketing...

#1 Billy Gene is great at marketing

There's no denying it...

Billy knows how to grab your attention within seconds.

Just watch the 5 minute ad below (it's probably his most famous one)...

He's a smooth talker, grabs your attention and makes you want to know what the f*** he's talking about!

#2 He does what he teaches

He is still all over social media.

You are probably reading this review because you just saw one of his ads on YouTube, instagram or Facebook (or one of the other deozeen places he puts them).

You're not learning from some amateur.

#3 Straight talking and no BS

Billy is known for telling you how it is.

Even though he got the name for himself as not beating around the bush it does seem this has changed over time.

There are many people who complain how much "fluff" he puts in his training videos now.

Billy Gene is Marketing cons

There are some hidden truths that I think everyone should know before diving into one of his courses...

#1 Upsells- when will it stop?

When you go to check out there's an instant upsell to buy his "million dollar month blueprint"...

Is this going to be the last upsell? I doubt it!

It seems like he loves creating new things so chances are you will need to keep purchasing things to get the most up to date and relevant information.

#2 Hidden monthly expenses

I already explained that there are ongonig monthly costs to implement Billy's training. Some people are just not aware of this...

That's a picture of Billy with the co-founder of ClickFunnls, which is a software that costs $97 a month to set up funnels that can work for you.

Of course it's possible to set up these funnels to help you make more than the $350+ a month you'd need to spend.

But you will actually need to figure this all out for yourself.

Billy won't just hand you "done for you" funnels that make you money on tap.

#3 Hard to cancel & no refunds

There are tons of complaints from people having surprise amounts of money coming out of their account (this was more common when it cost $197 a month).

But if you're thinking "ah I'll try it and if I don't like it I'll get a refund"... you may need to reconsider your thinking.

There are a lot of complaints about not being refunded for someething they didn't want so just be aware of this before you hit the purchase button.

#4 Lacks depth in content

I saw a lot of reviews like this...

His courses are weak. For every hour of him talking you get 5 minutes of solid information, but nothing you couldn't also find for free online with 60 seconds of Googling.

Yelp, Jan 2019

Biggest load of horse sh*t I have ever purchased. Watched 30 mins of the first "Course" and he went over no content whatsoever. Would like a refund of my $31.

Yelp, Feb 2020

It's genuinely not even me cherry picking these reviews out. You can check on these review sites yourself and find the same thing.

#5 He has a potty mouth... some people take offense

Personally I don't give a s*** how someone talks...

However, I saw some complaints from people that found him "disatasteful, disrespectful and unprofessional". It doesn't affect how good his courses are in my opinion but if you are easily offended you have been warned!

Ready to make passive income online without spending $1,000's?

I've created a growing passive income online with no marketing skills or online experience...

And I've made a special video for you to explain exactly how I did this.

My opinion - Billy Gene is Marketing

I think it's impressive what Billy has managed to achieve since 2011. He clearly has some awesome ads that work and stand out in a crowded market.

But if you are new to online marketing and expecting to make tons of money by only paying $31 for his courses what do I think are your chances?...

If you have a small business and are already making sales then Billy's training could be exactly what you are looking for.

If you have no idea how to sell anything, don't have a business and are new to digital marketing save yourself the time and money. This is not the right training for you.

How I make passive income online

In 2018 I had no idea what affiliate marketing was.

Once I learnt about it, it just seemed like a great way to make money and help people. So I tried to figure it out by myself... that got me nowhere fast.

Then I fell for some terrible online scams.

Eventually, I found a place that taught long-term proven strategies to build an online business with the tools & support needed. And it still took me some time to implement these strategies.

But I went from a full time PE teacher to making a passive income online within one year...

If you want to discover how I did it then check out this video, which explains exactly how.
